2:58 I've said this so many times in the past but that last D5 is literally absolutely colossal. The part before it is how a singer with great belting technique would project. But that D5 sounds like she detonated a bomb next to the person recording. Her belting voice is HUGE.
it sounds with much resonance from fancam and i think in the lean on me clip is more evident because the note that tv show live supposedly is a bb5 but in the fancam you clearly can hear a B5 they demodulated a bit

Huge fan of hers. I think her more recent stuff w/ Begin Again is stunning. She does get just a wee bit pitchy at times as evidenced here. Some of that could be the monitoring environment. I am a musician and do quite a bit of live performance and know how much it can affect your performance if you can’t hear yourself through the monitor mix. And yes, they heavily edit the TV performances in post for all artists. I wish quantizing and pitch correction were used more sparingly.
