    As for the tank bag, the flap opens wrong way. It would not be easy to search for things from seat, say at a gas station. The most likely reason it is bright red inside is so you can find things easier in the bottom. I have the Nielsen Rigg magnetic/strap tank bag. I have the smaller one on my cb500x.

      Thanks for the response. I don't have a whole lot of experience with motorcycle touring, but for this tour, the Cortech bag was a lifesaver at quick stops. I totally agree on the red interior - it does make it easier to find stuff at a glance.

    Is there any chance you could make a video showing how to attach that tail bag to the back end of a 2020 Ryker rally

      Sorry for the slow response - I don't have access to a Ryker.

    Appreciate your review. Do you think it would work well on the pillion seat of a Royal Enfield Himalayan?

      Looking at pics of the Himalayan, that pillion seat looks perfect for a big saddle bag like the TS3200DE. As long as you have 5 inches of "hang down" clearance on each side of the seat, you should be good to go. Since the Himalayan is intended as an ADV bike, I know they built it with the intent of luggage and gear strapped to the back of the bike.

    My rain flay attaches to my bag there is a strap inside the rain fly and inside the pouch bet you missed that

      Yeah, it is entirely possible I missed that. I never did a test-fit of the rain fly at home, so the first time I was actually installing it was in a service station parking lot, hoping not to get dumped on.

    It is such a shame that saddleman doesn't put waterproof zippers on their tactical luggage.

      Yeah, I agree. I guess it's a price point thing - it's a lot cheaper to provide a rain cover than to go with WP zippers and all the design changes to make the design truly waterproof. Of course...I don't have the rain cover anymore! :-D

    Saddlemen: how wide is the bit that fits over the seat, please, Tom?

    • @driverideeatdrink
      @driverideeatdrink  ปีที่แล้ว

      Just about 10" wide and 10 3/4 deep in this "saddle" part. As you can see from the pics, it's a u-shaped recess into the bag. That's about 5" high.

    Just call it a saddle bag, looks like a good bag, except the rain cover
