He landed a 747, then landed Halle Berry. Two grand slams in one night.
"i just want to tell you both: good luck. we're all counting on you."
Precisely what I said when I showed this movie to a friend🤣
Ted, that was probably the worst landing in the history of this airport...
"And don't call me surely."
I picked a hell of a week to quit drinkin
Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit Amphetamines
I love what she says at the beginning of this video. It's the most important thing for a pilot to do when things go wrong.
1:22 I just love how the poster says “learn to fly” 😂
I mean, he was learning how to fly at the beginning of the film, and if I remembered correctly it's exactly where he learned how to fly
@@shepherdlavellen3301 they taught him well
@@monochromatic773they taught him well of how to run into planes with a 747 engine lol
Better than most of my landings in Flight Simulator.
Same here. In 40 hours of gameplay, I have probably landed correctly zero times.😢
RIP Cessna's
And pipper's
Ahhh nooooo
Those parked planes gave their all :) cant beat the jumbo 747 jet crashing down at the little airport
The lights at the airport R.R.P
R.I.P
That man: has scratches everywhere and sweating
Women: Perfect make up
yes because she's not an soldier
To be fair, she was sitting in an air conditioned cabin for most of the flight while he has been in the cargo and then fighting
If it's a young Halle Berry, you won't get any complaints from me.
air force One
Of course being a woman she should fall to peices and suddenly lose it despite her character arc.
It’s funny how you can see a billboard at 1:21 saying Learn to Fly meanwhile the plane is just ramming its wing into other planes..
Well, this is where Grant was learning to fly
Wow the 747's engine is immortal when hitting those other planes
驚くばかり-ʑąʑƙơŋ ąŋıɱʂ-驚くばかり except number 2
Well, they were much smaller and one engine did get messed up.
And then spawning back in and torn off again lol
I’ll give Oceania airlines a 5 star ⭐️ review for awesome crash landings.
"Oceanic Airlines, Your Final Destination...."

"Sometimes you just gotta look Death in the eye and say, 'Whatever, man!'"
ye
2 sides, 1 light, 1 dark.... You want to know a secret?
Best hijacking movie I've ever watched today!! Would recommend this masterpiece to anyone.
Watching this right now after not seeing it for a while and it's funny you say this. As I was just telling my wife the same thing to a degree but for me, Air Force One is right there with it.
After the plane stops moving and people start moving around: "PLEASE CONTINUE TO OBSERVE THE FASTEN SEATBELT SIGN UNTIL THE CAPTAIN HAS TURNED IT OFF!"
Well, it is on fire....so getting out is a good idea.
This movie is filled with badass scenes
No CGI.
Crazie.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think those are scale models. Like a toy or something made of light materials.
@@Kyleroo that is correct.
@@Kyleroo
The sequence was done with a series of miniatures, from 1/10th scale for wide shots to larger ones for closeups.
Pyro(and water) effect sequences require a relatively large scale to look right.
The 747 models used in this were fully detailed and articulated, making these models relatively expensive.
The light sport planes are mostly cheaper breakaway stuff, but still reasonable detailed.
Yeah it's pretty visible that those are scale models, some of them look like made of cardboard, but in any case I prefer these than cgi even if cgi looks better
I love the plane crash scene a lot and I am looking forward to watching this again and again.
this the the captin speaking, uh... we might have scratched the plane while landing.
Bro it’s more than a scratch
Hey you break it you buy it.
I just wanted to tell you both good luck, we're all counting on you
"scratched" yee lol
Ryanair be like: damn hire this guy now!
2:28 ‘thank you for flying with Oceanic, we hope to see you soon. Please leave the plane in an orderly fashion. Thank you again.’ I’ve seen Airplane so I think of that scene when I watch this. lol
I hope Nationwide is on the sides of all the pilots who lost their planes to a 747
Yeah, poor Cessna 172’s got destroyed by the 747 slamming onto the runway
When I was a kid I'd customize a Boeing 747 model into Oceanic Airlines in this movie, then reenact this scene.
lol me and my imagination.
Interesting, the plane is 747-200 but the instrument is 747-400 instrument.
thats cool that you know the difference
Tony13000000 Thanks mate. Originally 747-200 cockpit instrument supposed to be analog, but some owner upgrade its instrument using advanced glass cockpit.
Yea 747-200 are analog because there from the 80 i think
Zacmine6 my guess is this 747-200 for the movie installs 747-400's glass cockpit based on CRT screen. But, it might using 747-200. For cockpit scene, it shoot on 747-400.
WNDW ST IDN i know right
Ryanair: Wow, Snooth, we want you as a pilot
🗿🗿🗿🗿
Those dramatic toy-plane closeups
Still better than CGI 😅
"Another happy landing."
Underrated movie imo
Teacher: what are ur talents?

You're hired.

1 like = 1 prayer for those cessnas
I hate cenessas
Rick Cinway why you dumbass
Rick Cinway then you hate aircrafts too
there are cirrus
@@rickcinway2312 ppt, I suppose you like Piper then?
He buttered that landing 😐🤣🤣. Edit: definitely, especially at 1:16
100, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, butterrrrrrrrrrrrr
wait, wut
buttttteeeerrr
One of the best action movies I ever saw
This the craziest landing
"Ryanair approved"
0:48 if it was gta ,the plane would've exploded
Everyone’s saying R.I.P Cessnas, what about that one piper cub.
Kurt Russell is doing everything he can to bring the plane down but he keeps crashing into objects but I give him credit for trying.
Well he was used to single engined fighters from the air force. A 747 has 4 engines its a different kind of flying all together.
It's those crashing into objects that helped him decelerate quicker than he otherwise could.
wonder if the small craft owner's insurnace covers the damage cause by getting hit by a jumbo jet while on the ground?
1:17
747:spongebob
cessnas: squidwards hopes and dreams
Jerry Goldsmith always fantastic!
1:19
(Crashes 747 with Cessnas)
Sign: learn to fly!
not anymore... dammit now my dream of flying has been ruined
oh the irony is so thick you'd be choking on it for weeks
hah ye
The crash sequence was made by WKR Productions using miniature effects.
I love the Boeing 747-200 plane so much and I want it to be my private jet
I think that landing is better than some spirit airlines landing tbh
Heck he landed better than Ryanair!
Another happy landing
セガール早く助けに来いよ😊
his touchdown was still smoother than a RYANAIR
Nobody:
Swiss001: hmm, a new video
Maravilloso y perfecto como siempre Jerry Goldsmith.Gran ecena.
Yeah, the things do land themselves if you punch in the correct CRS heading, NAV frequencies activate theNAV system, and hit the approach button.
That's what he was forgetting.
Wouldn’t have helped much, it would get him to the runway, but small airports can’t support full auto landings, so the pilot still had to flare himself. Also, the ILS puts you a few hundred feet down the runway, and as this landing shows, he needed all of it to stop
Any landing you can walk away from is a good one...
Wait so he tried to land a 747 full of passengers on a taxiway? That's a disaster in so many ways
AdzSONLINE No he landed it on those small municipal airports
Garfielf Oh yeah at 1:37 you can see taxiways with blue boundary lights
meh.. he landed on those small planes
But hey holly wood are special what u expect
Considering he used an airplane instruction book to land, I’m surprised anyone takes issue with anything beyond that. 🤣
Great Movie!
Fun fact: They're landing on runway 25. There's no runway 25 at Frederick Field.
This scene reminds me of Airplane. Except there’s no blow up pilots that fly away happily ever after.
He didn’t even use thrust reverser or airbrakes. What a noob
Miniature effect is great. Cgi effect is bad.
What....???
Raul Matias Casas Zavala I
no CGI
It's funny I was just thinking how great the CGI was, it being done with models makes more sense
....
ill bet the owners of the small planes he destroyed and oceanic airlines sent him bills for all the totalled aircraft and the damage to the 747
Derek Wall I heard Kur Russell is actually a pilot in real life.
nice
I'm sure those little planes were covered!
"I just wanted to tell you, good luck. We're all counting on you."
Well that was a buttery landing
1:16 me vs the bullies in school
Thankyou for flying United.
Mind Blowing Landing In Airport Everything Is Safe
Beautiful co-pilot
David Grant: "What if I am forgetting?"
Jean: "Who cares? Just fly the plane"
This reminds me of us marshals also directed by Stuart Baird and with Jerry goldsmith music when they landed the prison plane on a country road and crashed into power lines and fell off a cliff and flipped over and landed in the water.
2:18 *less than 90 secends later* plane: *explodes*
That sand will put the fire out. xD
Just an ordinary ryanair landing
First of all why didn't he put the brakes on and where's reverse trust
He did notice how the wheels are locked up and he probably didn't know about reverse thrust
But you can hear him say reverse at 1:02
He didn't say reverse, but clearly put it into reverse - we see him jamming the throttles to a reverse position, then hear the engines spooling up. We don't see the reverser doors open, they probably just didn't have that level of detail in their models.
@@NostalgiaBox24 Im going to correct you he didnt say a word he was grunting when he moved the thing down those are very heavy to shift
@@amandarunck5554 no they're not.
1:17 so that's why my flight lesson got canceled🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
When your playing a A place with airliners on ROBLOX and you land but you know the 747 is going to over run the runway
More stupid jokes of a dumbass game called roblox
1:00 throttle reverser direction is wrong.
Lol did the pilot even know where is the runway XD
Edit: omg the runway is super small. Where is the flight crew? BRACE BRACE
Well i guess i could say the plane is "STRANDED" hahaha.
why are you sitting there get out it on FIRE OMFG
Why are 747’s always involved in these 80’s and 90’s plane crashes
I've noticed that, the majority of movie plane crashes are 747s. Probably because they were until recently the largest passenger aircraft in the world - thus making the stakes higher - and are very recognizable. I'd be interested in seeing an actual statistic, if anyone's ever tallied it up, of how many planes of each type have been crashed in movies - I'm guessing that the 747 is about as much as all other civilian aircraft combined.
The first 747s were being retired at the time, so movie companies were able to rent one at a reasonable cost for a shoot
Any landing you can walk away from...
Number 1 rule of Aviation
1: Fly the Airplane
I missed the 747 200
this had a 2 crew ..so it was basically a 747-200 with a 747-400 cockpit weirdo
me too but there in a better place in our child hood and the vintage infomercials ok dont cry i miss it to
Nice movie
If I had to choose to whose a better pilot Kurt Russell or Harrison Ford, I pick Kurt Russell 100%.
This is why you should take basic lessons in MS Flight Simulator
Smooth landing
1:31 RIP piper cub
What a landing😍😍😍
1 cessna survived the hit
u mean 2 right?
Kind of ironic that Kurt Russell's character asks Jean ( Halle Berry ) if she likes hockey after they land. Kurt Russell went on to play USA Olympic hockey coach Herb Brooks in the movie 'Miracle' (2004).
Also ironic that he asked her if she liked hockey because hours later he was ramming his puck into her goal
Well done ! Tutorial completed
Decent model work.
BUTTER -ryanair
You would think one of the Special Ops guys would check on the cockpit during this whole ordeal ...
10/10 landing
2:38 😂😂😂😂😂. 👏👏👏
True statement " Just fly the plane. "
That landing would've been a 10/10 if the plane didn't hit that fence. whatever that thing was and Not hit everything. well touchdown was good. stopping ......................
1:17 lots of ppl are gonna sue oceanic for this
he still nailed it tho, still smoother than a Ryanair landing
Noo 😭😭😭 my 172 skyhawk
If Frederick Municipal Airport is not in the same state as Dulles International Airport, those who survived the plane ride will either have to wait for the next plane to Dulles, or take the bus or train to Dulles.
Why did it have to be a 747?
do you want the a380 then this right
Nostalgia that's why
Because it’s the most recognized aircraft in the world! 🙄
Because double deck and biggest airplane when the movie made
jerry kevin actually I think the 747-400 is bigger than the 200
some insurance company got bankrupt this day.
Another happy landing.
this scene reminds me too much of the comedy, Airplane
"I just wanted to tell you good luck, we're all counting."
The tower..,rapunzel !
“Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.”
Superbe scène.
