Granger, I applaud you for the values you are teaching your children. I know they don't appreciate it now but when they are older they will understand why!

So proud of your parenting skills and teaching your kids that everything is not just given. My Mama raised us the same way. Every summer we had to work picking tomatoes and other labor work. At the time, I didn't like it at all. Taught us to work hard and appreciate what we got. It instills a work ethic in you, that you will appreciate for the rest of your life. I totally agree with you 100 percent! I always make sure my kids do their chores before they have what they want which is most of the time their tablets. I want them to earn it and see the outcome of what they have done. Whole family is a huge fan of you guys and keep up the music and content. Yee Yee!!

After living in Palm Springs with a bunch of entitled kids, all I can say is thank God for your country values! Privilege earned and enduring hardships and challenges, is what builds good folks.
I live in North Central Missouri at 7:25 temp. around -7, windchill around -30, winds gusts at times but around 25. Will drop down some during night. It's too cold for snow right now, so that's a good thing. Hope all safe and inside, our animals are staying close to buildings for windbreak. I really admire you. For teaching your children the meaning of work. There are so many parents that need to follow in your footsteps about this. There was a guy who was 17 at one of my jobs who had NO IDEA HOW TO SWEEP THE FLOOR. He didn’t know how to use a broom.

I know I hated chores when I was little, but we had to do them, or else. We didn't have a lot of money. After my dad died , my mom took care of me and my sister alone. The main thing is that, we knew that we were loved, and we did, later on feel good about what we did. A lot of children don't get to have that warm fuzzy feeling of Love.That makes me sad. We don't get to understand our destiny in life. We just have to know that God has his great plan for us...no matter what. Your great parents. Your children are so lucky. ~~~My Heart is with You~~~

Southwest Ohio here.. -9 degrees now (Friday morning) with a -39 wind chill factor.. But, we Will be having a white Christmas as it’s too cold to melt last night’s snow! 👏❤️❄️🎄

Northern Idaho has had snow on the ground since first of November, the leaves fell late and are buried under all the snow. We have been really cold since Wednesday with -30 with wind chill temps. Woke up this morning to 5 degrees and more snow. Suppose to snow all day and night and warm up to 33 tomorrow but snowing all day and night. Next 10 days warming up but will still get rain and snow. Our side streets are still covered in snow. It has not warmed up enough to melt any of it off since November. I hope the cold doesn't last long there. We know how you feel, been bad here too. We are use to this, but have not had this kind of weather in a long time.
It is -1 with wind chill -26 here in central Illinois (Gifford). We also have a little snow. London and Lincoln I have on my long John’s No shorts here. Love watching The Smiths !!!

We recently moved to Helena, MT and our temps were as low as -32 yesterday and we have 5 little Nigerian dwarf goats and it's absolutely amazing to see how God made them to withstand such harsh temps!! Their coats are sooo thick! Hope you guys enjoy the cozy indoor times as we have been! Yee Yee! Merry Christmas! (Loved this video, Maverick is talking so much he just makes me smile so huge! Of course the older kids are absolutely adorable as well!)
Winter is fun but not the negative temps that are this week... we had to put in extra portable heaters in the house. Hope the chickens make it... we dont ever heater their place.... they are pretty hardy... they 3 yrs old now tho..we plan to replace them in spring i just dont want them gone yet... they are my favorites...

The kids may not like or enjoy the things you're teaching them, and I never did with my father and grandfather. But, one day, far from now, when you're gone on to your reward and they have to do something working in the yard, something comes up that they need to know how to do, they will think of you and these times and fondly remember that, dad made me do it so I knew how. And, in the time spent with dad they learned more than just chores. They learned values. And spent time with their father that they will never be able to do again. I thank my own father and grandfather for those hard working, chore filled, days outside doing things I absolutely HATED to do...because I learned and I did so with those men and I wouldn't change a thing if I could do it over again. Hi, my brother lives in Texas, and everyone that lives in Texas are just big babies when it comes to the cold. Here in Indiana the temperature is negativeone, but I feel like temperature is -22. and we have 5 inches of snow where I live. No matter what you're used to aa far as temperature goes getting smacked in the face with cold wind is torture. Temperature here in Kentucky went from 45 to -2 in a matter of a couple hours then wake up to -6 with -28 windchill, I was the same way crazy bomb cyclone.
