My grandfather owns the Ark there! That was my Mother that you spoke with at the Cafe!!!! I am so glad that they are getting attention :) My mom strives off making people happy and just being an all around Joy. I hope you enjoyed your visit!!!
that is such a great unique piece of the landscape.. I think I remember hearing about it in the 90s as everyone thought the guy was crazy - but never thought about it again.
Yes, it took a special type of guy to build this. It could be much more of a tourist attraction but the pastor does not want that much activity. There were requests from tour bus companies to stop there but he said no.

Leaving a little later this year. Waiting to see if the land border will open. I drove my car back here last spring so I’d prefer to have it. If not, I’ll fly there in November.

KY has a exact replica of the ark itscalled the Ark encounter it's really awesome if you ever get the chance to visit
