I love most Ministry albums, but this one is my favorite - got me through some tough times. Also, I remember this album being in a jukebox in a bar at the university I was attending. I treated the patrons to Lay Lady Lay followed by The Fall. Nobody got it. I was happy.

This brings back those 96/97 vibes in ways I could never describe.
Not that anybody cares, but my fave Ministry song. Never a big fan, but in early 90's I heard much of their material through a friend. Decent, yet not my thing. But THIS song I loved from day one. Especially the Sphinctour clip.

Nine Inch Nails certainly addresses addiction and post-addiction (With Teeth being post).

It's funny, I remember when it was released, I was in high school. Critics said it was shit, most fans did too, I loved it, and now it's kind of a cult classic.

Its a superb album., as were said, back in the days crítics wrote tons of crap about this record. Time has show us how wrong they were.
I loved this album when it came out,found it was such a chill,trippy,dark,atmospheric,fantastic album.
I bought the CD when this first dropped. I always loved this album but in the last few months I have really taken a new love for this song.
Uncle AL for President! I missed this song on their show in Košice Colosseum club two days ago. Anyway excelent experience, better than ever (seen Ministry twice live on the open airs)... When we were on the way back (8 hours by train) talking about Al´s top 5 - The Fall was there... Take this invitation... to Ministry in the club - incredible.

I was stationed at Osan AB in Korea back in '95 - 96 when my family mailed me this cd. I was like WTF. It was so not Ministry at the time but now it is my favorite by them; I love this song.

I think because it was so different from the fast riffs and if I am not mistaken Barker was in prison at that time and not really part of it.. but maybe spiritually
this is one of the better tracks on the disc. but, people were mostly irked by the guttural feel; if you're coming at it from the future, back, you might not notice it, but they were really a punk band at the time, and were seen as warping into the kind of metal band that much of their fan base cringed at. but it's not that it wasn't any specific aesthetic. people just felt it wasn't as _good_

this song sounds different because it originally intended to be a song from a side project with nivek ogre from skinny puppy. the original demo is out there somewhere.
"In 1989, Ogre and Jourgensen started the side project W.E.L.T. (When Everyone Learns the Truth). Some material was recorded, but the only song they released was turned into Ministry's 1996 song "The Fall", from Filth Pig."

I understand why Al hates it, but I love it. Alain Jourgenson is a true artist. He crumples his own artwork up and throws it into the garbage. It's not a weird thing; it's just what artists do.
Let us not forget, however, that Killing Joke were the world's answer to Ministry before Ministry became the answer. They defy categorization as well.
