You should always pursue what you like. That way you will remain happy with the work you are doing. There is no right or wrong career choice. Just that once you know what you like you will have better focus and motivation to purse that. So go for it.

Sir , I'm in Cognizant .. Recently joined a protect as fresher in IT infrastructure domain .. Work here is about managing tickets preparing reports ( not technical works ) our domain is ITSM , ITIL , Incident , problem , change , Service request management. How is the scope of these domain !
Hi sir, Myself santhanakaruppu I'm selected in tcs under smart hiring as a graduate trainee and i have another offer on a 5 year old startup with 50 + employees as role for full stack developer in MERN stack . But there 2 year bond + 3month notice period which I can choose sir which is best option for my career. In tcs I will be allocated to supporting role and it's been more then 10 months after getting after letter from tcs there no update regarding joining letter. Now I'm really confused sir please guide me which is best for my career. Thank you sir.

Do I need to switch to DS or ML or FSD-like roles? or I can do a better career and growth in automation testing itself.
Hi Sagar, AI is a tool for Software Engineers just like Drill Machine is a tool for Carpenters. A Drill Machine makes the work and life of Carpenter easy that now he can produce more work in less time. In the same manner AI can help you to accomplish your work faster. Instead of fearing AI think how you can make your work easier with the help of AI. If you start learning today in 1 or 2 years you will be an expert in using AI for whatever you are doing. That will give you an edge and instead of losing your job to AI you can use AI to grow your career.
Decide on basis of your capability. If you are good in software development then go with that. The salaries will be higher than QA. But if you are not good in programming. If you feel you will struggle in software development then go with QA. Decide based on your skills and capability.

Check on linkedin people with certain institute certification where they are placed. Check the dates after the certification what jobs changed. If you find a good institute which is spoken a lot about then find out more. Remember institute does not matter. Your intention, focus and sincerity to learn something matters more.
For every 3 engineers we need 1 software tester. So those jobs are not going anywhere. Don't listen to anyone. Focus on developing your skills to an extent that from Software Testing you can move into Automation or Product Management etc.
