Once the show started, you have one chance to get it right or you're finished. If the equipment fails, you're even more fucking screwed because there's hardly anything you can do.

They weren’t controlling the levels well. Yes his songs are insane with bass but they can bring down the subs a tad bit so they don’t blow up
Saw Dream Theater at that venue in 2012. I was in the upper stands and they were freakishly loud and pummeling. Best two and a half hour set ever with a 20 minute encore.
This is on a sound tech. Sure, there could have been a malfunction but it’s much more likely that someone didn’t do their job, or did it incorrectly. They spend so much time testing the equipment at big shows like this
