I like how anxious Grace is to get inside at first but once she meets Hannigan and gets inside she appears to prefer being outside where it seem much safer than with Hannigan.
I appreciate this Annie due to its stunning historical accuracy to its time period portrayed. The 1930s were a very turbulent time in American history snd this portrays it in such an amazing way. The dialogue, the slang used even, the fact that the orphanage is utterly overflowed with Children which was what youd see during that time. As a fan of history this Annie hits it out of the park for me on all cylinders with the second best in my opinion being the Tony Award winning og 70s music.
Grace Farrell always kind of reminded me a bit of Mary Poppins. She was like the kind, young nanny who had come to make Annie’s life better and happier. She looks a lot like the young Julie Andrews did in that movie too and even sounds a bit British.
I about died of laughter at that line. Because I imagined like, the door opening, and there Annie'd be, with a flask, giddy and grinning, offering the flask, "Care for a drink?" (Shrug. Yeah, I have a weird sense of humor.)

I'm amazed Ann Reinking kept a straight face when Carol Burnett fell off the chair
That was retailed. If you listen when she falls Ann starts to laugh with an “0h” and then she has a straight face. I like when MS. Hannigan pops back up!!
