It’s about her recent ex who was a pathological liar. She originally wrote Encore as a poem, and decided to take a huge chance, and make it into a song. As someone whose been emotionally and verbally abused in a relationship, it’s by far my favorite song ever written.

I believe the pieces of fabric shes tied in represent both the relationship and the lies he told her that she cannot escape, and the two men tourmenting her and keeping her down when shes trying to escape are her inner demons attempting to convince her to stay in the relationship and when they finally walk away she realizes the relationship is toxic and she's going to get out of it.
