You don't have to spend hundreds to get a folding bike that you can use for an international cycle tour. Second hand folding bikes can be excellent value if you are prepared to do any repairs yourself! Small repairs and replacing any worn out parts can be done with simple tools and these light weight bikes can be stored easily in a cupboard or under a bed.

Thanks for watching and comments!
I always buy secondhand folding bikes wherever possible, however if you are looking for a good value strong & compact folding bike to tour consider Zizzo forte they come highly recommended amzn.to/3tLE3wq
You were at camping Zeeburg. I was there several times. Took our folding bikes with us to go to the city. Good memories.
🚴👍👍👍 Ámsterdam beautiful city. From Cucuta city Colombia 🇨🇴 South America
You got y'r priorities straight. Get food, get beer, get to bed, get food, get riding, repeat.....
Yup you got it 👍 This is the life 🚲✔️⛺️
Love your channel and content. I recall one of your older videos wherein you demonstrated that you don't have to spend a ton of money on a folding bike to have a solid, functioning bike for commuting and touring, which I think is great and helps get more people into cycling on folding bikes.
Cheers mate! Thats what its all about, getting out there on a low budget and enjoying the ride. Im still riding a 20 dollar secondhand bike!
I am looking forward to seeing both of you in you’re next adventure episode . ✌️😎🇺🇸
Same time next week! Stay tuned!
Thanks for sharing your trip. By visting many places in the netherlands Last Time i recommend also Utrecht, Arnhem or Groningen with less Stress and money you have to keep for your essentials.
I love Amsterdam. We went in November last year. I want to go by bike next time. Great videos. I recently bought a second hand folder too, but not as cheaply as yours. Awesomeness.
Summer riding in The Netherlands is great, the winter is cold!!
Good stuff! Great to see. I've been touring on "normal" sized bikes in various countries for over three decades now, but have just invested in a Dahon foldup. I'm about to "test" tour the bike here in Victoria (out of Melbourne) in April along one of the rail routes. Either along the Murray River, or through Gippsland to Bairnsdale. Here's hoping it goes well! Cheers! 🤠
Thanks for showing me what Heaven on earth looks like. The Netherlands got it right when they designed their cities. It's so sad that the United States set up their cities and towns for the automobile instead of their citizens. Great video, hope to see more of Amsterdam. 👍
Yeah it sure is different to the great western “car cities” that I’m used to! Ill be putting out new episodes every Thursday!!!
Hello!
Great video, aaaand Camping Zeeburg! This is my favorite camping in Europe, I was four time in the last ten year. The best thing: goats middle of camping place :) Greeting from Hungary!
It’s one of my favourite camping places in the world! Great spot with nice people & excellent facilities
@@hobocyclist Try camping Vliegenbos next time. It is in Noord, close to your picknick site.
Heck ya thanks for taking me along 👍 look forward to watching the rest of the tour.
Thanks for tuning in 😀
I really like your touring videos. Keep them coming. :)
Ok! New episode tomorrow 🚲
Nice, you were just 20 km from my home. Amsterdam is great!
Excellent Video! I travel by car for work and bring my folding bike along to ride every place I can in the evenings.
Cheers mate! Yeah folding bikes are great to keep in a car opens up new possibilities, save time and money!
Great ! The paradise for relaxed bike people !
It’s easy going because the whole country is flat!
It's been a while without watching your channel, your quality has improved dramatically my friend!! cheers!
Great way to show your expirience, keep it up! (And maybe try to be a bit more healthy with your food haha)
Send you good vibes from Uruguay
Thanks very much! Glad you enjoyed the new videos, Ive got a new camera now looking forward to filming more adventures!!
I'm sorry! But as a Dane I may add, that also we have a wonderful place for using bikes in Copenhagen, with special Bike Speedways through town and special bridges for walkers and bikes across our harbor and - canals. And most major roads in Denmark have bikepasses to one or each side. And I also use a Brompton. Finn. Denmark
Cheers Finn! I have been in Copenhagen 10 years ago, a very fine city with lots of bikes. One day I hope to return and ride in Denmark! All the best for your adventures!! 🚲⛺️😎🌴
Looks like a fantastic trip
More to come stay tuned! :)
Great adventure.. I’m beginning to see
There is plenty more adventures happening! thanks for watching!

Nice video! Nice folding bikes. I miss FEBO!
Delicious and efficient way to snack!
@@hobocyclist l love the surprise never no wot you will get
Great to see yo both of traveling!
Thanks! it’s been a while!!
What do you use/how do you secure your bromptons when you have to park them outside?
I find the Dutch bikes interesting, there are the high handlebar city bikes, then the higher ones which really make people sit up straight, then the ones so high it looks like their hands are at chest level! 😄
They are great huh! some of the bikes have huge frames, big wheels, classic cruiser handlebar and luggage racks. Bikes for Dutch is like pick up trucks to Americans!
love the intro to this video!!
Thanks, the last 2 years were suck I was stuck on the island counting sheep!!
That was fun!
Cheers mate! Don’t forget to watch the whole playlist here: th-cam.com/play/PLt2S1vTl1Ergo9xdOVv2zDB5a6IQ187qW.html&si=vum9XKnheszKQNFf I travel all around the Netherlands + more!

Waiting for part 2 and part 3 (this is trilogy right?)
Tune in same time next week for the next episode!!
@@hobocyclist Alright :D have a safe, enjoy and memorable trip. Thanks for sharing.
Super
Cheers
why do you bring 1 bike to the Netherlands when you can rent a good bike at the campsite for € 13.50 per day
Prices bike rental
24 hours - €13.50
48 hours - € 24.00
72 hours - €36.00
96 hours - €46.50
Best regards
Frits
My bike cost less than €13.50
No.
Not a Brommie.
Gotta be a Brommie.
Sorry.
Yes you are rich, I am poor, good observation
In my opinion a Brompton is overrated. The shock absorption is low with is small, narrow tires. And the price is high. Sure you get quality in return. And the gearing system of 3 gear Sturmey Archer hub with 2 derailer gear is not optimal. I prefer a 7 gear Shimano hub or a 14 gear Rohloff.
The Shimano I had installed on my Dahon D7 for 450 Euros.
