My neck of the woods. Years ago there was horse back riding on the trails. Ive camped there too many times. Lol this was a surprise to see it on YT. Me and friends would take canoe to Swift Creek area at bottom of the hill, where there was a flat shoreline area, put in and paddle through the creeks. I haven't been since 2002. When my son was little. Its a good place to camp. Beware of potential flooding of the camping areas next to Swift Creek. But the beaver are fun to watch.

That sounds like fun! We didn't have enough time there to really check the park out fully, but we loved what we saw. I wonder if it was as busy back in 2002? Thanks for sharing! 😊👋

They have recently built new cabins on Lakeview 2. I mountain bike here a lot.

That is a big park. Thank you for the coverage of it. Did you hear the news about the new Theme Park and RV Park they are going to build near Vinita, OK? The Theme Park is supposed to be the size of the Magic Kingdom at Disney World and the RV Park is 750 sites plus hordes of cabins. All supposed to be done by 2026.
I love how the sites are so isolated from each other. Incredible place.

Yes, it's huge! Two days is not nearly enough time to explore this place. We'd like to go back. Well, mostly me, Sharon, so that I can check out those trails. Gary would like to fish. 👍
No, we haven't heard about that park. Wow! 750 sites - We've seen some big parks but nothing like that. Thanks for sharing. Happy travels! 😊👋

Does anyone tent camp anymore? Most campgrounds have become RV only parks

We see tent campers in our travels. It is mostly private parks we've visited that are RV only, but we do see areas for tent campers in some of them. City, county, state parks and Corps of Engineers, TVA, and national parks often have tent campers. 👍😊

There are 30 amp sites and there is water at all campsites. 6 people are allowed per campsite. The price at this time is $35. Here's the link to check it out: www.reservevaparks.com/Web/#!park/25/123
      Happy camping! 😊👋
