You forgot to mention you have to be parked outside a dealership since the app requires confirmation of dealership location. So, just go park at their curb and use the SXM Dealer app not the regular app,. BOTH are from the app store free.

This no longer works anymore. It worked for me once but now does not
This got patched in 2021 ish use this python script it will get you 9 months and just reuse it every 9 months been doing that for a while
