    I feel the same regarding legal research I’ve had to do on the LPC. Glad to know you enjoyed doing it as a trainee, hopefully I do too!

      Its 1000% better than on the LPC! Hopefully you'll love it too! X

    Just given up a career in banking and taken a pay cut (as you did) to get back into law. My current role is a real estate paralegal and I’ve got so much to clue up on! This video was helpful 😊

      Ahh congrats on taking the leap. It's hard to take a paycut but we have to just play the long game sometimes! It takes time but I am sure you will get up to speed quickly. Are you in London?

      @@Camillatalks Aw thanks for the reassurance Camilla. I’m in Birmingham. Trying to save up for a large mortgage deposit (like you again) and it’s so much easier to do that here haha. I’m in London a couple of times a month though

      This is just commercial real estate. No IP involved in the seat I did!

    Hey Camilla, what happens for advocacy if you're issues aren't the same as your colleagues?

    • @Camillatalks

      Hi Sami, I'm not 100% sure what you mean. Do you mean advocacy on the LPC?

    • @samishah7957
      @samishah7957 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Camillatalks Yhh that's the one, my bad I should have clarified. I'm not quite sure what my second issue is for the exam, so I was wondering if it's different to my colleague who represents the other side, would that be a problem?

    • @Camillatalks
      @Camillatalks  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@samishah7957 I wouldn't be concerned by how many issues they have spotted because you don't know if they are right. From memory I think in the mock I spotted 2 and the advocate on the other side spotted one and we both passed the mock.
      Prepare thoroughly and identify the issues that you think are relevant and dont be distracted by what other people are doing.
      Worst case scenario I dont think you will fail for missing an issue because its a skills test more than anything, but obviously try to spot them all. If you have more issues than the other side, it doesn't matter because at the end of the day you need to present the best case you can.
      Have you had the mock yet?

      @@Camillatalks Brilliant, thanks. That's really helpful.
      We had the mock a few weeks back and managed to get competent thank God.

      If you passed the mock then chances are you'll pass the real one if you prepare in the same way and also try to improve. Good luck!
