Well, it's officially the future. And gosh darn it we still need roads!
As a premature infant, struggling to live, I received one of the most beautiful letters I’ve ever received in my life from him. Needless to say, he is my favorite president, but let’s also talk about the beautiful genuine by partisanship between he and speaker O’Neal. We will never see that again. It is one of the dreams of my life, to be able to visit the library and museum and not being able to see anything hopefully be able to touch something that belonged to him and to pay my respects. That letter set me on the trajectory for the rest of my life to be a public school educator, a singer, and now to work very hard at my own small business. All because he told me that I was left here for a purpose.
God I miss him what a positive leader!
Ronald Reagan was one of the classiest men to be president.
this is what a real president looks like.
I miss him every day. My earliest memories were of him speaking. my parents didnt listen to music that much. I had to push them to do that. to listen to my father's record albums. what i didn't have to push was the news. lol i grew up with Reagan.
Best line comes at 0:22 when he mentions the CHALLENGER crew.
Man, I wish I would have been old enough to remember what he did. I was just being born the year he began his second term in office. To see a leader like that who had so much confidence in his country seemed to have put a smile on the faces of everyone around him. RIP, President Reagan. We miss you.
Thankful n RIP both of u Ronnie n Nancy
2 days before I was born.
What an awesome, intelligent man! He was the best President of The United States of America. His only "agenda" was to keep our country FREE, STRONG AND TO REMAIN THE GREATEST COUNTRY that ever was and ever will be. God bless his soul and forever keep his ideals alive!

There was a lot of emotion this night as it came one week after the Challenger disaster. He was clearly the last great President. The four we have had since don't come close, especially the one in there now who has 376 DAYS TO GO!
A man who wanted to hold onto Traditional values because they worked for this Country. God Bless RR.
You are all mistakened

The Gipper LOVED to make references to pop culture. Besides "Star Wars", he referenced Dirty Harry ("Make my day") and Rambo, to name a few!

What a great speech and NO Teleprompter!!!
Wow. Reagan starts his speech with a bang--honoring the Challenger astronauts and giving a nod to his buddy/nemesis, Tip O'Neil.
The Gipper had the best philosophy on Welfare: its purpose should be to ensure it's no longer needed!
Such wonderful words of wisom at the end: his words on the Amercan Dream, and his words of encouragement to those four kids up on the balcony.
@OldestManInCanada he says it on the 20 minute mark :)

You love kool-aid, don't you? He was a fucking politician. I have fond memories of the man too, but let's not get carried away.
So funny in the retrospective. Starting at 18:32 and all the way to the end. "An affordable health insurance", "a shuttle flying from Dulles to Tokyo under 2 hours", "Strategic Defense Initiative" - all such "spectacular" "successes". "Winning freedom in Afghanistan, Angola, Nicaragua" - and we can see all three of those bathing in "freedom" now. The "greatest president ever" indeed...
Jonathan, I'll believe you're a real libertarian when your home is on fire, and you don't call upon the publicly funded firefighters to put out the blaze.
