    Thank you for this beautiful video. my father was a submariner in the Royal Navy from 1928 until 1948. and seeing this tonight bought back fond memories off him tonight thank you.

      Thankyou. Just make sure you keep an eye out on the tides. Its easier coming back than going if you time it right as a lot more of the beach is uncovered.

      Hi John. I reckon it is 45 minutes or so. I am not a “nimble” bloke so you could do it quicker if you are more agile than me. I set of from Reighton Gap at 7.15 and it took me a couple of hours just steady away.

    The cranks from the diesels remain after the iron blocks rusted away, very interesting.

      Morning. What are the iron blocks?. The cranks look so small in the video but they where the thickness of my arm.

      The army/navy blew the submarine up in about 1940 so wonder if the engine was destroyed then and the bits scrapped as much of the rest of it was
