Misha just want to say Thank you so much for the Zisha Yixing Zi Ni Tea Pot !! I'm in love with it ! It just came in today, I already seasoned it, and now broke it in with its first session of Aged 2010 Shou Pu'er ! Amazing teapot !!! Also had a session of the "Golden Buds" Black Jasmine earlier in the day, what a great tea ! Thanks for being my Tea Guy ! Happy New Year Misha !! Absolutely love the new tea pot !!
oh, wow, thank you so much for this feedback! It's so great to hear:)))) By the way, I would abstain from brewing scented teas (such as Jasmine tea, for example) or herbal teas in yixing teapot. Because yixing clay is very absorbent and oils and strong smells of flowers and herbs are very hard to get rid of afterward. I suggest dedicating it strictly to non-scented teas. And I and my team are always happy to answer questions - so, don't be shy, if anything)) Happy New Year! Enjoy your new yixing-friend:)
@@PathofCha absolutely!! Im only going to use this beautiful pot for my Pu'er teas only! I watched so many of your videos and other on what to do and not to with the Yixing before I even unboxed it !! Thanks for all the awesome content and Quality products !! I enjoyed the Golden Bud Jasmine in my Porcelain Giawan it was a great session !
Thank you, Paul! Yes, ZiNi yixing clay and sheng puer is where the effect of clay on tea really shines! By the way, check out our dragon egg Chaozhou teapot: pathofcha.com/products/dragon-egg-handmade-chaozhou-teapot
This was really interesting thanks! Still deciding whether I’m a tea person (coming from Lipton tea bags) but I’ve been having a lot of fun learning about the culture and practice of tea 😊
I own a fine Yixing teapot. I bring it to London 2 years in a row,and last year,I presented it to the owner of a tea shop in Greenwich. He took one look, and turned to me,and said”where did you get this?” It is an old one, well approximately 1970 or so. It is red,but seasoned so very dark, thousands of steepings in it.
nice! Sounds like a good catch! By the way, keep in mind that seasoning a teapot doesn't mean that it shouldn't be washed. A teapot should be thoroughly washed with hot water (no detergents!) after each use. Otherwise, it may start possessing health risks.

If you are interested in tea (even after Lipton tea bags;) and make time to learn about tea - you probably are a tea person;)

Yes,absolutely,boiling water,and a thorough wipe,and let it air dry.
Sadly, there is a nice little pot that I own,it is retired now,as it has mildew😢
@@charlesperez9976 oh, that's sad! Have you tried washing it with baking soda and then boiling it in a pot for like 10-15 minutes?
So much sauce, man. Thank you 🙏🏻
