I totally agree! NP's get all the follow-ups in 20 minutes each from MD's/DO's. Charting is atrocious with MD's and in order to get everything down - it takes as long as the visit takes. Yet we are slammed with 20-23 patients/day. I work all weekend finishing documentation - I am very cautious about the charting because I was once a Nurse Legal Consultant and know what needs to keep our licenses.

Definitely an issue and reason why NPs end up charting at home!
You have an interesting background, any over aching tips to protect ourselves legally?

Have to say, as a PA for 32 years, the issues are the same.

I’m not surprised PAs face a lot of the same issues! What speciality do you work in?
