Finally my husband showed me how to leave a comment. St. Patrick's Day is our anniversary. 47 years and we will have corned beef and cabbage for dinner. Thanks for showing how to do this in an instant pot. I saw how the meat came apart so easily. Great.
Dear Miss Lori: OMG (oh my goodness) Made your recipe for Beef Brisket in the instant pot and the glaze too! So good and thank you for this video. she's a keeper
Miss Lori I made this for dinner last night and it was yummy. I have never made corn beef in a pressure cooker but I tell ya it came out so tender I will never go back to boiling corn beef again. Thank you so much!
I can't wait to try this! We're just finishing off the ribs that you inspired me to cook. I had the ribs but had to buy the instant pot. And I used my home cooked and canned rhubarb-bq for finishing and it was Fantastic!! Thank you for all you do. ❤ xoxo Good bless.
I thought I was only one obsessed with corned beef, saurkraut and tangy mustard to top it off....umm ummm can't wait to try this at home. You have inspired me to start planting my own home garden and begin my homestead. You are an inspiration to clean, wholesome, simple but delicious eating.
Ms Lori I've got a side of beef coming next week. I had my beef side cut so I could have the brisket for the first time. (Usually I just have it ground into hamburger.) This video is so perfectly timed. I was just thinking back to your very first video. I found you as you were starting out. Mr Brown told your few viewers to be kind because you were so nervous. What a treasure you turned out to be. TY for all the cooking & gardening lessons you've taught me along the way.
I've heard of The Reuben Sandwich my WHOLE life, but would you believe, I've never had one? I'm still not sure how that's even possible. You certainly made THIS one look amazing! I like corned beef, but I'm not too sure about fermented cabbage. (I could just cook it as normal, and then put it on it, I could do that, but I'll have to think about the fermenting thing. LOL) Thanks for sharing this with us. It DOES look so good! God bless you.
Fermented cabbage is an acquired taste. I wasn't fond of it but I'm going to take another stab at eating it again because it's so healthy. I just bought a fermenting crock. Try a reuben with canned sauerkraut from the grocery store.
I usually have corned beef and cabbage with onions and carrots for St Patrick Day. I then use leftovers for reubens using my home canned sauerkraut. We absolutely love it.
MSLORI, THIS REUBEN LOOKS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! HAVE TO FIX MYSELF ONE OF THESE REAL SOON AND THE GLAZE LOOKS REALLY GOOD TOO!! MY FAMILY SO ENJOYS THESE! GOD BLESS YOU AND ,MR.BROWN! I cooked some brisket for Rueben's a few weeks ago - cooking up a storm now that I retired to the quarantine lol. It was ok, but I am going to do it again using your recipe - the glaze sounds amazing!! You have also given me the courage to can other things - thank you. I currently can salsa (to die for), peppers in sauce, and hot mustard. But I would love to do some kraut - have to find that video you posted!!! Thank you Mrs. Brown! (Love you She-Shed too!)
Hi Lori, Thanks for sharing this. I love seeing things made in the instant pot!! And the end product looked amazing. Rubens are delicious!! Love, Mary ❤️😘❤️
Oh my that looks so good. I can’t tell you how much I’m enjoying your videos. I’m getting a lot of fantastic recipes from you. I have a play list I’m saving them to so I can make them. I guess I’m binge watching as my kids would say , your channel. Thank you very much. God bless y’all.
Yummy, yum, yum! I like to have a nice grilled cheese with fresh tomato and ham paired with a bowl of roasted red pepper and tomato soup. I like to give my bread an egg wash and put fresh mozzarella and plenty of basil in both.
That sandwich looks delicious. I like to cook brisket in a pan covered with water a pinch of salt and a good amount of pepper then get a large onion or 2 medium and push 4 whole cloves right into the onion. Pop the onion in beside the meat and bring to the boil. For a 3lb piece i would simmer for around 4 hours. Take the meat out of the water and add 2 beef stock cubes and use a potato masher to mash up the very soft onion. Remove the cloves at this point if you can find them. I reduce the water until there is around a pint for 3 of us. I then use cornflour to thicken to as thick as i like it. Slice the meat up and plate up with creamy mashed potatoes and maybe a mashed swede and lastly a green vegitable and carrots. Pour some of the rich gravy over the meat and its really tasty. Simple hearty meal. Thanks for sharing Lori.
I am so glad you recognize corned beef as Jewish! So many people think it is Irish. It was brought to Ireland by Jewish people as early as the 9th century. It is really salt beef. We also have spiced beef at Christmas. It has cinnamon and other spices. Love Cee 💚💚💚
I love corned beef and cabbage, and homemade corned beef hash for breakfast. I also like hot pastrami sandwiches which is a corned beef brisket that has had a pepper and spice rub then smoked. Yum! Thanks for the video. I don't have an instant, but I have three electric pressure cookers and two are multifunction cookers. The work just like an instapot. The thing that I like about the instapot is the stainless insert. Your sandwich looks so good!
Looks great. I love huge, New York and Chicago-style deli sandwiches. Also my original gourmet variety of white meat chicken and tuna salad sandwiches. They're major crowd-pleasers. Decent sandwiches here start at $15.00. They're small and nothing to write home about.
Also, I just wanted to say, that since I am trying to cut down on carbs, drastically (it's so hard because I ADORE bread,) but this could be eaten just the meat and sauerkraut with a dollop of that mustard you make and a side veggie. I am going to try this. I might even throw some Swiss on top and broil it over the meat!! Woohoo!! thanks so much....❤️
You were tempting us with the sandwich and my taste buds started screaming for a bite lol. It looks so delicious! Thanks for sharing your recipe with us. Hope you have a great week!

I just watched the barbque ribs you made in the instapot also and that really made me hungry! and that side dish! I dont know what to cook I'm so hungry. Help! When I used to waitress for extra money this mom & her little boy came in one day & the mom ordered a dinner/supper so I brought a basket of rolls and butter to the table right away along with her coffee & while I was getting her salad she had given her little boy a pumpernickel roll & when I got back I was just in time to hear the boy say mommie I like this chocolate bread lol . When you said you were using bread that had pumpernickel in it that reminded me of that little sweet little boy

Yummy Lori! Lookin good! I hav 2 favor sandwiches, Rubin and roast beef with cream cheese, shredded lettuce, and tomatoe! Now u hav my mouth watering!☺
The Reuben sandwich is a US Navy tradition on board their ships. We had a brunch style breakfast on Sundays and Reuben sandwiches or Eggs benedict were specials only available on Sundays. I prefer pickled cabbage instead of sourcrout, but I like it also, just prefer pickled cabbage.
I bought the toughest large piece of meat you ever saw.I cut it into 5 pound roasts. I oven roasted one chunk and made jerky with another, practicalIy needed a meat grinder to chew it. think they must have butchered an old bull, and seen me coming. Lol I'm going to try this maybe then we can eat it. Thank you for sharing. It looks so yummy my mouth is watering.
Apple cider is good to use also instead of beer. Drop some cabbage , carrots and potatoes in the leftover broth. This looks so good. It has been a while since I had corned beef. May have to go and see what may be available.
