I am in México. I miss the coffee and doughnuts from these Pacífic-Asian families. They are very kind when It comes to adjusting to the communities they cater to.
If the aliens came down and made me pick one race to save from planetary genocide I would pick the far Asians and I'm not even Asian.
Too bad Mexicans are not the same to communities they come into.
I have no idea how I got here but I am not disappointed

Can we just appreciate the guy that mixed the whole bucket of dough using only hands?

@@natasyabibi4603 Yeah some people prefer music that enhances the mood of the video. Personally for me, however, there's just something about the ambiance that makes watching this video so relaxing
Jajaj
Now, I want to order some. They look divine. I'm mesmerized by the twisting he was doing. The years of experience shows in how fluid he is.
I SWEAR when they spin them, it has maybe two turns, but when it LANDS, it has eight. YOU CAN'T EXPLAIN THAT.
Science can
Slow the video to .25 and you can see how it spins as he throws it.
The thing I'm wondering is why they have one sleeve up and the other down
@@sadyd.l1110 Looks like a splash guard to protect them from the hot oil
the movement of the rolling was upward & downward, pretty much has been pre-shaped.... when they spin it twice it's also for "locking" the dough :)

In Turkey we make the same twisted ones, but once done frying we drop them into cold sugar syrup and call them "Halka Tatlı" or "Tulumba".
I must visit Turkey one day. Here in Canada, we LOVE donuts but we don't make them anywhere near are awesome as this! (Except for one place in Niagara Falls Ontario. Coffee Time on Victoria Rd. Funny enough they actually make a really good wonton soup there as well. A Chinese couple runs the shop, and I'm not sure if they're doing everything by the book lol.)
In the Philippines we make just small donuts(w/ sugar) and you should be at the store at exactly 1PM or afster 20min they're gone. The neighborhood loves them

I desperately want to buy them an industrial stand mixer. I can't even imagine the back pain that guy experiences.
Erin Maurer believe it or not most bakers prefer it this way. I made croissants at work, while the shelter is a blessing for making hundreds a day, I do love making it by hand. The outcome is different. Machines could easily over aerate and over mix so the results won’t be consistent.
