    💲 NEED FINANCIAL ADVICE? 💲
    1) Google "fee-only financial adviser" or visit www.NAPFA.org (largest association of fee-only financial advisers). NOT an affiliate link
    2) The first question to ask any financial adviser is, "Are you a fiduciary to me 100% of the time". Get the answer in writing
    3) Please note that some people call themselves "fee-based". This is NOT the same as fee-only. Fee-only advisers have committed to being fiduciary to you 100% of the time.
    4) Personally, I would only hire an adviser who is a fiduciary to me 100% of the time. This is not a suggestion on what you should do. Just sharing my personal preference.
    ⚠️ Azul's "Scammer" Warning ➡ PLEASE READ! ⚠️
Be careful of scammers. In the comments section, I will NEVER ask you to contact me, offer any investment products, recommend a stock broker, or anything similar. Some scam bot commenters 'ask' for investment help, and later, other comment bots reply with "how great X idea/investment/person is" in the replies. These are scam threads. Do not fall for them.
🚨 Azul's VIDEOS ARE NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE (Disclaimer) 🚨
This information is only provided as an informational resource and should not be viewed as investment advice or recommendations. To get professional financial advice from a fee-only financial advisor near you, please visit www.napfa.org.
The decisions on how to invest, when to retire, and other financial planning topics are some of the most important financial decisions you will make in your life. I urge you to seek professional financial advice as you make this decision. Ideally, from a financial adviser, AND a CPA AND an attorney. Having the perspective of all three professions will help you make the right decision for you and your family.
This information is being presented without consideration of the investment objectives, risk tolerance, or financial circumstances of any specific investor and may NOT be suitable for all investors.
This information is NOT intended to, and should NOT, form a primary basis for any investment decision that you may make. Always consult your own legal, tax, and/or investment advisor before making any investment/tax/estate/financial planning considerations or decisions.
Spoiler Alert: There are no "get rich" programs. Rather, just basic blocking & tackling and putting in time and care. Do your homework, choose wisely and (IMHO) work with experienced professionals who are fiduciary to you 100% of the time.

Recessive periods come along with equivalent market opportunities if you are well informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass wealth in the midst of economic turmoil and even pull it off easily in favorable conditions. Invariably, the collapse is getting somebody somewhere rich

the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.

Risk mitigation is indeed something to consider well before setting out on inveestments. Most often than not, CFAs take care of this perfectly. People downplay the role of CFAs until being burnt by their own instincts. I was in a similar situation a few years ago; Took my chances but stocks went crashing. Realizing I wasn't good at timing the market, I started working with an Adviser, which helped me build a $1.6m portfolio.

Recessions are an unavoidable part of the economic cycle; all you can do is prepare for them and plan accordingly. I graduated into a slump (2009). My first job after graduating from college was as an aerial acrobat on cruise ships. Today, I own three rental properties, invest in stocks and businesses, run my own company, and have increased my net worth by $800k in the last four years.

You have a very valid point, I started investing on my own and for a long time, the market was really ripping me off. I decided to hire a CFA, even though I was skeptical at first, and I beat the market by more than 9%. I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an analyst.

I retired from regular work in 2009 at 63. Having massive paper losses was scary. My major financial choice was to take Social Security at 64 because I needed some regular cash flow to avoid selling depressed assets. Between Social Security, earnings on those depressed assets and taking occasional contract work, I was able to avoid selling and locking in the losses. I was able to actually at times buy some more assets at a bargain price. With time the depressed assets came back and went on to more than double. At present I am forced to do some selling to satisfy the annual RMD. I usually pay during the year out of earnings and adjust at the end of the year. This year the economies of the world are slowing. I decided to sell off some stock mutual funds that produce little in earnings but have shown unusual growth in the past year. As stocks are overvalued and we are moving into unstable times I will take my winnings now. This is not advice, just my sharing one person's thoughts and actions.

    Important points made.
My contribution : No one, NO ONE, not even THE MOST ASTUTE, CLEVER, FUND MANAGER knows what the stock market is going to do. So one needs a "well diversified" portfolio if one is going to (be able to) stay invested during market downturns - and during market up-turns. One also needs to ensure that one has cash-on-hand (an emergency cash fund and/or money that can be made liquid - if and when necessary - so that one is not forced (or tempted) to sell during a market down-turn.... when panic sets in.
Indexed funds are quite a good (diversified) and passive investment vehicle.
An important thing to remember : investing has 2 driving forces, greed and fear. One needs to understand one's own greeds and fears and how these impact one's investment responses 😊

Thank you for your videos mate.... With Trump's presidency, economic shifts are expected to be significant, especially given the current recession and the potential impact of future rate cuts. Although rate cuts might not boost inflation as hoped, they may lead banks to further restrict consumer and corporate lending, contributing to a deflationary period for various assets. This environment could result in declining stock values, retail and housing sales, and rising unemployment due to layoffs. For investors, a diversified portfolio especially with stocks and cryptocurrencies offers some protection, serving as a hedge amid volatility. Both long- and short-term trading strategies can help manage risks, providing stability as markets adjust. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 130k to a decent 732k in the space of a few months... That's the issue with both concepts. 1. You don't really know when it's going to happen. 2. You don't really know what will dip and for how long. I know two former day traders that lost their shirts getting cute, thinking they had a crystal ball. If you are younger and have time on your side before you need to pull from your portfolio, it's simply better to leave it alone and let it do it's thing.

I have heard stories that people committed suicide during the great depression by jumping out of high rise buildings. Ive been out of the market since I lost half of my savings in the 2008 drop. But I was fortunate to have built 12 apartments starting 1992 . And all by buildings are paid off and when real estate drops, it doesnt faze me because the rents continue to roll in . So if the market tanks tomorrow, I may not care but I will buy a 75% drop. I have figure out in my old age that making millions does not make me happy. But don't sell during a drop , if anything sell now that the market is at an all time high if you are in your later stages of life. And dont forget that financial advisers want you to die with $10 million invested in their plans because they dont make money if you sell out. You may not be able to enjoy what's left of your life. You wont be able to take it with you and time is not for sale, you can't buy another minute of life with a million dollars on your death bed. Bottom line is, sell if you are older , stay put if you are young. Stay safe folks.

Berkshire believes stocks are overvalued, so there's little of interest there. However, Treasuries are offering a good yield, and if the Fed lowers interest rates, their value would increase.

The worst thing you can do financially is react to a recession, they are temporary and the market has always bounced back. Some of the doomsayers may say "one of these days it's not going to bounce back", but then we're talking about economic collapse and then our problems go beyond market performance.

Americans need a more stable investment option for retirement so we don’t have to gamble in this casino crazy stock market which involves a lot of stress most people don’t need
Why not keep social security but rather than pooling into one pot; allow us to keep it in separate accounts which are guaranteed a consistent rate of return say 6% ? It would provide security in the fact that we could look at our balance and never have to worry if Congress is going to steal/reduce our “entitlement”

If your portfolio drops 50% you need a 100% return to be @ the same place you were before the crash. The inmates are controlling the asylum right now...good luck!

Typical lethal mainstream ametican advice for dumbed - keep holding and take in all losses.
Better advice - sell if daily candle closes below moving average two days. Buy back when daily candle closes two days above moving average.

My 401k has just been on autopilot and been doing great since 2000. But I got into brokerage investing in 2020 and have done quite well with the market recovery. I’ve now cashed out of the brokerage (not 401k) and waiting till the recession signals a reverse. With tariffs and such, it could be a rough couple of years for portfolios.

You actually need an expert trader assigned by a registered brokerage company to help you out. you need someone with the right strategies and expertise to do the work for you, I always recommend Melanie Ann Karnavas expertise.

Sure but your not taking into account America's true GDP which is 50% of that stated by your government. The complete debt of America is close to 170 trillion dollars. The commercial loans will fall due in the next few years can't be refinanced as the assets are at best 30% of debt.
When the stock market falls by 17 trillion it will cause a cascading effect that has no perceivable bottom(:-)
Oh to live in interesting times
