OMG! I'm so happy I looked this up. My friend and I were just talking about vintage hats, and how we want one so bad, but can never find one affordable enough. So I told my friend was going to look on TH-cam to find out how to just make an inspired one! This is amazing and I love it! So excited to make two. One for me, and one for her!💖💙
What a great idea I think it's absolutely beautiful however I have some tips maybe it'll help use a little bit of that thin backing to put around it that you use for upholstery that it helps move out the lines so when you do use the cardboard and it looks smooth you won't see those bins and maybe putting a little rope around the top where the round flat part is to go around that that hemline or that seam line at the top of the hat to make it look more finished with the same fabric but what a great idea because those pill hats can be pricey
The style is very nice. I can see where I could create a much more neater and easier way of connecting all the pieces to each other........all in all a great project!
Hi, that hat looks so cute and I do love those style of hats, my grandmother wore those! I just wanted to know how did you add on the bow cause it is so pretty that way, please let me know, thank you,
Hi Jackie 👋 I just wanted to know what kind of cardboard did you use cause I do want to make this kind of a hat but it has to be kind of bigger and higher cause I do need to make a three Wise Man headpiece. Okay please let me know cause this is very much important to me! Thanks 😊 bye 👋
You can buy at at Joann's, at my local Joanns it's with the interfacing, but they only carry black and white. Otherwise check out millinery supply shops on-line they will have additional colors.
This was so easy to follow and helpful! Perfect for my Jackie Kennedy costume!

How did you make the bow
where did you buy the material for the veil?
How did you get the hat to look like fabric in the end rather than satin like you used?
Does glue E3000 work for the fabric ??
