Review of the new Adidas Bali & how does it compare to the 2015 Island Series..

Adidas has always been the brand for me, & my love for it has never wavered. Whether it was running about in a pair of Samba in the school playground kicking a tennis ball, or on the grass playing football wearing a pair of Copa Mundial, or even sporting a pair of Gazelle on a Friday night for the disco. Adidas has never been far away! Having sold my collection the first time round back in 2017, you could say i have once again been bitten by the three stripe bug. In fact that would an understatement!
My main focus within the Adidas brand since i began collecting again however is the Spezial range. Ever since its first drop in Oct 2014 the Spezial line has grown and grown in popularity. The brain child of Adidas Spezial is three stripe die hard Gary Aspden.
Aspden was the man behind the Adidas Spezial exhibition in Manchester in 2014. A celebration of all things adidas with over 600 pairs of collaborations, one-offs and rarities sourced from all over the world and from famous Adidas collectors. Adidas trainers from the collections of Aspden himself and other famous collectors such as Noel Gallagher, Ian Brown and Robert Brooks were used.
Ever since then the Spezial line has grown and grown with seasonal releases twice a year of both footwear and clothing. A lot of the Spezial trainer releases are a nod or tribute to previous releases over the decades. And the clothing influenced by a lot of the casual terrace wear back in the 70's, 80's or 90's. Most recently as the Spezial line has grown in popularity there have been trainer or clothing collaborations with both Liam & Noel Gallagher, New Order, and Peter Saville amongst others. Plus many, many other celebrities from the music industry, acting, or sportsmen endorsing the Spezial line. You could say it has caught on quite well over the last 9 years!
Anyway here is a video of my Adidas trainer collection this time round since i began buying again last year. I do have some regrets from selling back in 2017 but im hoping that i can somehow get some of those grails back and discover some new favourites which i never managed to get first time round. I have already began that process!
Please feel free to comment and make any suggestions. I am really keen and interested to see what people are wanting and what makes fans of the three stripes tune in. More than happy to make videos of my collection and share the love of the three stripe! Also please lets see your own personal collections as well!

3 months on and these are still my favourite adidas release of the year so far
I think the fact that they are almost identical to the Tahiti is the reason the Bali weren’t released in 2015. That would look pretty silly having 2 identical shoes in the same release
Maybe although there are some striking differences. Nine years is certainly a long enough wait anyway. Got there eventually though!
Really similar to the island series Tahiti, personally one of the favourites I’ve had until my puppy chewed them 😢 will need to pick these up
Oh dear! Puppies do love a lace I know that. They are similar but in hand you can definitely see the differences.
The Samba are my favourite in white.
Do you feel they were a tight fit, mine were also won in a Raffel but wish I’d have got a 10.5
No Ian mine are fine. Never had an issue with the Island Series fittings.

Mate what size should i take normal or 0,5 bigger ? Comparing to tahiti it has similar fit? Unfortunately i'm not from uk so don't have opportunity to check the fit
Just like with all the 2015 Island Series I went true to size. Did you do that with Tahiti?
@YorkyThreeStripe I bought tahiti in 9 uk in 2020 and after that 10 uk in 2023 just for low price
10 uk were too big for me and 9 uk is too small for me now, now it fits properly just because I wore them too much
I wanna go with 9,5 uk now

Off topic did you buy any of the star wars Adidas stuff over the last few years?...t shirts tracksuit tops or trainers?
Hi Lee I did get a couple of pairs of the adidas SW trainers but they weren’t really for me so I moved them on. Yourself?

i agree i dont wear the flats like gazzel or sambas now just dnt find them comfy like the runners.. us old dudes need comfort and a good grip now 😂
Totally mate! Now & then make an exception though and these are one of those occasions. Great timing for the summer.
I used to love my flats then I brought a pair of zx10000 c and that opened up a hole can of worms so

As far as I’m aware but stockists will ship overseas I’m sure.
A wernt going to bother with these,got quite a few light blue but seeing them in hand in this review is changing my mind quickly
