    For me it has always been the “itty bitty shitty committee” in my head. It is comprised of the bullies from my childhood, preachers and priests, older siblings, even my parents. The turning point for me was when I realized that I could disagree with them, tell them they were wrong, and sometimes even laugh at them.

    When I experienced trauma, my sense of self shattered, it couldn't keep up. It was like a driver died. It was like something fragile had been dropped and shattered. It was shocking and scary, but there was a sense of someone coming through to sort through the shards and glue something back together from the pieces, and so a sense of choice of what to pick up, and what to leave behind. I found a lot of pieces from the past, old intuitions, and I started 'flowering' somewhat. The constant fight or flight was occupying and overpowering the old construct and it just couldn't keep up. I could feel space just left unattended for me to decide what was needed there. Listening to every hysterical, painful and fearful idea of the voice was not an option, any more than listening to a radio with a wildly spinning dial.
    Writing really does help, what you write doesn't need to be true, and its only for you.
    Music helped me alot. It offers control and a pathway to who you've been so far. Find the small favorites from along the way, not just the obvious ones you tell people about.

      Same happened to me in the hospital after a work accident. First months was hell thinking about everything I used to do everyday and not able now to do it . Just wanted out as soon as possible. Its was one night that I couldn't take anymore and I gave up . I surrender . And felt a peace I haven't felt before or if I did I didn't remember. I said to myself . This is my home now .I,ll make the most of it. And I did . Made a lot of friends and learned a lot . I can say that it was a blessing that looked like a tragedy

    I think that the voice was created by experiences and feelings attached to that experience. The mind never forgets, it's the place where all our experiences are registered. Feelings like insecurity, doubt, can contribute to moments described above. Everybody has them regardless of social status.
    It is correct that you are not your thoughts, but they can shape your personality.
    I had a positive experience with the voice in my head. Once, when I thought I couldn't pull through a situation, it clearly and loudly said, you can do it! With the stress on " can".
    Another time when there was ice on a dirt road and I stopped not knowing how to get on the other side, a voice said, do it! I felt as if something was pushing me to go over the ice. I did it.
    Then there are moments of doubt which even animals have. I think it is the yin and yang in our body. The choice you make is a part of your conscience.

    Well, it is strictly related to sixth sense and some have it developed or less developed developed. It's an inner radar, then conscious jumps in and filters everything in order to take action. Not always totaly conscious decision bit still conscious enough so to remember it and consiois enough so to not say it's a 100% gut feeling one.

    Napoleon Hill wrote the book Think and Grow Rich. I read this almost 50 years ago it changed my life for better. He said write down what you want to achieve and put it in your wallet. Read it from time to time which I did for several years. I was young I wrote that I want to achieve owning 10 acres of land I could homestead on. It was a dream at the time to live off the land away from the city. So here I am on 10 1/4 acres of land living that dream. It was a journey I could never imagine. In the book it said “What the mind of man can conceive the mind of man can achieve” believe it.

    Eye opening! Is all self talk from the subconscious ? Do we have some control over our self talk? Like the 2 questions I asked.

    • @SolaceFox
      @SolaceFox  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

      Great questions! Not all self-talk comes directly from the subconscious-some of it stems from learned patterns and conscious thoughts as well. However, the subconscious plays a big role in shaping those inner dialogues over time. As for control, absolutely! By observing your thoughts and practicing mindfulness, you can gradually reshape your self-talk into something more empowering.

      Thank you. This confirms what I have been doing by chance of the passed year or so. I started by talking back, then " that wasn't helpful", what brought that on, where did that come from,some wtf. Now ,hmm what was that about, really?, etc. Working on just watching it pass in time. Very interesting, to be able to step back a little. This is the light at the end of the tunnel and it's not the train. lol

      That’s such a deep and profound question! Eliminating the observer’s identity requires moving beyond even the sense of ‘self’ as the observer. It’s about realizing that the observer is also part of the mind’s framework. Practices like meditation or self-inquiry can help you dissolve the layers of identification and rest in pure awareness. Truly appreciate your curiosity-it’s the key to deeper understanding! 🙏❤

    "By whom commanded and directed does the mind go towards its objects? Commanded by whom does the life-force (prana), the first (cause), move? At whose will do men utter speech? What power directs the eye and the ear? It is the ear of the ear, the mind of the mind, the speech of the speech, the life of the life, the eye of the eye. That which speech does not illumine, but which illumines speech : know that alone to be the Brahman (the Supreme Being), not this which people worship here. That which cannot be thought by mind, but by which, they say, mind is able to think: know that alone to be the Brahman, not this which people worship here." - Upanishads

    Grasping these concepts too quickly without real world practices is introducing someone to spirituality through means of psychology. Through physics one understands that the mind is a quantum being that's actually a receiver and transmitter of many energies. Even our gut bacteria is quantum between people when sharing a meal. Through spiritual practices and knowledge it's the observer and awareness that's actively letting go of everything that's not "one" to become "all". "All" in the sense that when observed by others "one" is collapsed into a fixed state. If "one" is by itself it can no longer be its own observer, one must be in an "all" or multiple state. We'll find that their many transmissions, "fragmented consciousness" that are lost looking for a host. Entities, without knowing how to protect one's self become a different kind of threat.

    • @ahmadabbassi7103
      @ahmadabbassi7103 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yet concepts serve as practical means of both exchange/communication with others , as well as confirmation for oneself until becoming totally washed out by practice.
      The spiritual practice can be considered as "all" inclusive (including concepts).
