Hi. I just gor RE1 (not the kickstarter edition) offcourse, I was wondering, I was going through the tiles and the cards.... at 6:37 of your video the mansion setup cards, I could only find in my version only the Main Hall... Aren't the rest included in the normal versions? Thanks
No problem! Glad to help. It’s a blast and you’ll love it once you have the general rules down. Game is very startegic and thematic if you’re a big RE fan.
This video was so helpful. I was struggling to work out what the scenarios were referring to by the cards with symbols on them, and The instructions weren't clear on where to look, or what cards had them, so I was super confused. This guide helped drastically. Thank you
Hey Gibby! Thanks so much for letting me know. Love hearing the videos are still providing help to those getting into the game. Hope to see you around here and Discord/FB.
You deserved a Sub since you're the VERY FEW that took the time to do the setup for this game. I own RE1-3 now and videos like this is ALWAYS helpful when i decide to replay them months or years from now. Bravo! 👍👍👏👏👏👏👏💯
Thanks! I got you covered. Glad to have you as a part of the community here. I know how helpful it can be. I use my own too when I need a refresher haha 😜
Hey, having our first attempt at a campaign, but have you noticed a few tension deck cards have a circled X symbol in the bottom center of the card? Can't find anything explaining what this symbol denotes or why it's only on a handful of cards. Set up is TOUGH! Thanks for your video!
Question: The players complete 1st floor West A unlocking West B. We found that we needed Herbicide (Item C) to continue the scenario but no way to get an Item C. We concluded that we must have to go to another scenario to find the Herbicide from Item C deck. What is the most appropriate way to move from one scenario to another? Do we have to first fail 1st floor West B before we can move to 1st floor East A? Can we revisit 1st floor West A?
There isn't an appropriate way as that's very much like the video game where you explore in one direction and get so far and then need to try a different path to find something you need and come back. So explore and see what you find!
I remember this being tricky. I don’t remember off hand but I remember it also not being clear the forums on BGG for the game should be helpful with a quick search. Cheers!
Oooh. What sleeve brand and sizing are you using for both your small and large cards? They seem to fit nicely and don’t seem slippery where the cards are sliding all over the place when stacked. I’m after some sleeves like those with a nice static friction that makes them easy to shuffle but don’t slip all over the place. 🙂
@@RollingSoloI love Mayday Premiums. Happy to hear Mayday sleeves were used here. I’ll have to try and get the right measurements now. Your video was extremely useful to familiarise me before reading through the dauntingly thick book. I’d only got as far as the little training game where you get to test the concept of Line of Sight and firing. Hadn’t got to the meat of play yet. Got overwhelmed. 😅
@@RollingSoloOh! Forgot to ask. One thing I was confused about was when you were shuffling the designated scenario’s assigned item cards into the pre-readied decks. As you were setting things up, you mentioned you shuffle and organise the item deck in terms of the number of star icons (4 on the bottom, followed by 3, 2, 1). But then you read about the cards your scenario needs you to shuffle into the item deck. But surely you can’t shuffle them as it would knock the star sequence out of order? Or did you mean you just pick up the deck and blindly insert those few cards in at certain points?
Sorry man I am not sure if this is a stupid question but how did you get the doors? I haven't gotten this board game yet and I am very interested on getting it, since it looks very fun. But I don't see those doors that you use in your video in the actual board game. Sorry for this question, I just had to ask because they look very cool.
No stupid questions here. It’s valid. Those doors were from the crowdfunding campaign for the game. It was an exclusive add-on. If you can’t find the official ones out in the wild I recommend Etsy as people have recreated them and other elements to enhance the game. 😄👍🏼

My wife bought it for me for my birthday and was too confused and overwhelmed by everything. Thank you for making this tutorial

Thank you so much for this. Videos like this make playing board games SO much easier. You are a gentleman and a scholar.
Happy to help! See you around James 😄
I’m playing through the campaign solo with Barry and Jill and I’m enjoying the ride so far. Completed three areas so far
The game is awesome. One of my favs from 2023!
Great tutorial! Defo helped alot more than the instructions in the box! The game is far to complex takes the fun out of it sadly i cant do it
You’re welcome my friend! Hope you enjoy your time trying to out smart the zombies!
Thanks for the video. I wanted to try this game out and it was easier to learn setup visually
I thought this would be beneficial as I also wanted a visual guide the first time I set it up as well. Glad it helped! 😄
The locked door should have a card under it to show it is locked and which key is needed.
Ah yes! Good catch. I’ll mention this in the pinned comment and at the beginning of the next video. Cheers! 😄👍🏼

those activate the special attacks and special rules of some monsters, like the cerverus
Thanks for adding this! 😄

Ladies night~ Good luck Master Adam. ❤😊
Thanks! I’ll take all the luck I can get. Soon we will see if the fate of the dice that picked them are on their side or not! 😉😜
Hey man how do you choose the c item? Where in the rules does it show which one I need to have?

If memory serves it’s Mayday. Thanks for watching. This playthrough was fun to do. 🔥

Would have to relook as it’s not fresh in my mind atm. Sorry I can’t give you a quick response on that one.
