I just heard this for he first time and i think sam cooke might have taken some inspiration from the lyrics at the very end of this for Wonderful World (1960) also a great song

Who is that wonderful guitarist??? This is my favorite version of her singing this ever!
Dave Barbour, she thought he was wonderful too...and married him.
He first husband Dave Barbour
That's Dave Barbour, Peggy's first husband
her husband David Barbour
Yeah, Dave Barbour was very good. He wasn't an all-world talent like Charlie Christan or Wes Montgomery, but he was certainly solid.
No buttons on her shoes! What a modern woman!
This is my favorite song of hers. Her granddaughter was on the CBS Sunday early show talking about her and she looks just like her.
my all-time favourite chanteuse, been listening to this song since 1956
Thanks Peggy, the perfect reminder. A wake up call! Just in time.
'Take your spectacles off a moment Miss Lee. Why, you're beautiful'.
Great voice. The texture of the high notes are full and resonant. Most of us boomers saw her on smarmy tv shows in the 50s and early 60s.
Love that piano gettin the last word in at the end! Thank you for posting please don't delete this video!!
hahaha “boom”
Love the sassy, sultry take on this PL classic!!
Great vocal by Peggy, obviously, but this track also features a really nice minimal and thoughtful guitar solo from Dave Barbour.
Awesome !

The guitarist was her husband Dave Barbour
is that Dave Barbour on guitar? (her husband at the time)
I believe so.
is that johnny guitar?
Pretty Perky Peggy Lee!
My father loved her and had a lot of her records.
“ you” doesn’t fall between “shmer” and “shmoo” in the dictionary Peggy.
