u can set second jump button to scroll, that way bhop gonna be easier

@@satanofsunset817 bind weapons to specific keys or mouse buttons scroll wheel is inconsistent for that. My scroll wheel is up for jumps, down for my rifle, I have pistol and knife bound elsewhere.
Holyyy crap, he finally posted a tutorial! You’ve explained all of the questions I had so well and especially with the keys on the top right it helped me observe how you transition from key to key to perfect that movement. Thank you grumpy! My neon era shall continue 🙏

absolutely amazing. I thought learning your movement would be pretty doable after a tutorial, but its kinda just showing me I'm terrible XD even tho I'm ascendant, your movement looks wayyy beyond what I could do even with like a whole week of straight practice
Don’t give up! I promise u are capable. It just looks daunting at first. Just start from the basics. That’s why I spent some time covering the two types of strafes because at the end of the day that’s what most of my movement is. And then try to go on to the other stuff :$
@@GrumpyOnVal dang, i can't even do the basic strafe dodging lmao. How are you moving forward while doing that xD especially when you're pressing s and d. I just start moving back but you seem to propel forward
now this is the video wich motivates me to sitting in a selfmade game and practise the shown things for hours just to improve on neon! good video btw

A tip for strafe dodging is to hold the D,S or A,W depending which way your going to hold it until you have jumped again

This was cool tutorial, I hope you can upload a in depot tutorial on how to rotational strafe with Neon. I got the directional strafing down but not the rotational one.

You introduced rotational strafing like is something everybody already knows but I've never heard of it before
I realised this after all the feedback. Thank you. I am currently working on a new tutorial about strafing and dodge strafing to explain all of that a lot better. :)
If you're playing neon, bhoping will benefit you because of the speed that only neon can achieve when running, for other agents though, its nothing more than a novelty as the movement is the same and sometimes may even punish you because you dont get the speed neon has.
I always wonder why the movement in valorant was so easy compared to other games, but I guess its to separate from other games and get everybody on the same level.
I do wish they can change that so that there will be more variety sets of skill when it comes to movement.

If you are having trouble moving like this guy i suggest learning this is order.
Bhop forward
Bhop around corners, BIG ass strafes and turns
Bhop Backwards (learning curve)
Bhop only using A/D in a direction of your choice.
Once you get to backwards it should eventually click.
When you do these Strafes try to make sure you are gaining speed, that means you are gaming properly.

Explaining examples as they’re going on would help you also never mention what your mouse is doing.
For example box vault:
- build momentum running
- jump and crouch
- strafe towards edge of box
- jump off, change direction
- strafe on
- hop
Slow it down and show the steps.
Great Video! amazing neon tech it was really helpful, If you want any feedback tutorial wise then I would say you mentioned many new terms that are not normally used in vlaorant like rotational strafing, dodge strafing poeple who play movement shooters might know this tech but its new especially for the non neon players.
It would be nice if you could show the examples in slow-mo as you explain your movement with it.
Anyway time to slide my way to Ascendant
I main neon alot and I do these movements without even realising that not everyone knows about it 😅 But that ult recharge was news to me and it'll definitely help break the enemies ankles even more now 😂
You can also backwards slide without jumping. As long as you input your backwards key fast enough it works :)

the only thing you can do better is help create a petition so we can get bhopping to be faster than normal running by at least 1.25x thanks for this man I'm a neon main now. gotta go fast

Fun fact strafe dodging is what we call surf hsw style in css , bhop maps or just surf but in half sideways

@GrumpyOnVal I have a nice trick. In Haven map. if you on defend and low on budget. Buy a Judge and stand in left C long. The trick is to make you run straight to cubby without make any sound. When wall dropped you run immediately to Cubby (After hear first sound of Neon footstep, you W+A+jump+croutch to the left before making the 2nd footstep sound). If you doing that perfectly, you would get cubby without enemies noticing, They can't hear it no matter what they doing. I once get 4 kill for free with this trick

Like do you press W A and S D on single jump for rotational and then continue with directional or do you only press W A on one jump and then S D on another jump for rotational and then continue with directional ?
