    Nice to see RLE875. By some chance I took a picture of it brand new at Felixstowe in the tasteful cream body with maroon waist rail livery. Not a good photo unfortunately but it evokes memories nevertheless. By chance over the years I seemed to get pictures of it in its many liveries. Didn’t know until I digitised my photos and classified them a good few years ago. Nothing could beat that classy looking first version though. I really enjoy your material Peter, thanks for keeping us entertained!

    Marvelous do you know if any of these busses survived

      Probably a few. Certainly RLE869 (WPW869H) is still around in preservation, also the open top Lodekka is still around.

    Really enjoyed this. Great to hear the crew names too.
    Can you help me with the window/wall/downpipe configuration of the side entrance wall if Ipswich Market Depot please?
    I am about to make a model diorama using John Howe's Kingsway Models kit and I would like to add the windows and more detail along the side wall.
    Was there a window in each of the wall sections between the office bay and the side entrance?
    Many Thanks. Steven Duhig.

      Gosh, I have very few photos. I'll posts links below but I do suggest you ask the question on the Eastern Counties History Facebook group, I will also post a link below to that:

      This is a better view as you can see through the side of the bus and see the windows

    Curious where the terminus was / is at Felixstowe and Woodbridge so I can have a look on the ol google maps ☺️ driver conductors looked happy back then

      Everything has changed since then, even the location at Felixstowe which is now part of the Docks

      So with LT workers you could use National Bus company routes too until the destruction

    • @BristolRE
      @BristolRE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NextSound170 No, you'd need an NBC staff pass, not an LT one

    To comment again seems you knew most if not all the drivers being an enthusiast. Any of these drivers still with us? Noticed too there’s no uniform like LT or others, bit more relaxed

    • @BristolRE
      @BristolRE  ปีที่แล้ว

      There was a uniform, the National Bus Company uniform, but it seems to be a bit relaxed. Given that I'm in my 60s now it's inevitable that so many of these drivers have passed on now
