Synopsis:
A decade after freeskiing became an Olympic discipline, many riders are longing for an alternative to the current trajectory of the sport. Instead of rigid contest structures and national teams, they dream of a new kind of freeski event, something more true to the sport’s unruly origins. And so, in the fall of 2022, an idea begins to take form…
THE LEAGUE is the untold story of how the Jib League came to be. It’s an intimate documentary following Ferdinand Dahl, James “Woodsy” Woods and Øystein Bråten on their path to creating one of the most instantly beloved events in freeskiing.
Enjoy this unfiltered, behind-the-scenes journey from frustration to inspiration, doubt to certainty and worry to jubilation as three friends strive to create something original, and to push the sport they love in a bold new direction.

Rarely something so praised is not overhyped but this really is the best thing I’ve seen happen to skiing. I hope you can make the industry see the potential in this too because sadly that’s what really matters when it comes to making this the future of freeskiing.

And I don’t think they consider themselves a charity because they want to make this the future of freesking. That means making it big *in the industry*. Yeah, they’re gonna need big funding for that… Again, I might be wrong, but skiing isn’t exactly a growing industry, so to have a piece of it they have to grab it from the big boys.

bro that shit is so beautiful!!! Freeskiers taking back THEIR sport, their art. Don't need nobody else but the true passionnates. What I like the most is that it's the riders that are pushing the art to the next level that are judging each others, and really getting inspired by each others at the same time because the format is a jam. They are witnessing together each other finding a new way to make the sport progress. It really felt special watching this!! And the features are also created by them like the barrel thats crazy. Man this was really beautiful ! They bring back freesking to its essence thank you for doing that!

Let the competitors decide who's best is literally the best route to progressing the sport. what a great idea, to any freestyle skier style and creativity is a lot more impressive than spin to win.......this kind of comp will actually progress the sport and encourage athletes to be creative instead of just focusing on rotations and flips. YOU GUYS RULE

Such a realistic perspective. This was the reason I stopped competitive freestyle skiing. It's literally the name of the sort, "freestyle". Everyone can be creative and can bring something new. Love this view!

Ive done quite a few different sports in my life and got to met many kind people. But there isnt any thing in the world being comparable to the freestyle skiing community. I have been to the open jam Nordkette and i’m skiing park for just 2 seasons now, but seeing and being able to talk to all those athletes and just having the time of my life there was like one of the best days ever so far. Starting conversations with literal anyone in the lift or at the slope, hyping up each other to commit tricks and stuff was incredible. Thank you guys so much for putting that effort and love in this sport and community.

As an outsider looking in and as a former skater, ski is definitely where it's at. It was snowboarding back in the 00's and 10's that was the cool thing. Now it's skies, the tricks and steezy flow is way better. Imo.
