  • Hey everybody! Here's the next episode of Chordplay with The Chords Of Steve Hillage. While I have noticed a number of requests to feature some of Steve Hillage's classic progressive/space rock style, I have to admit that I'm still hopelessly listening to various "Space Rock" bands/artists, and this tribute to Steve's classic music is long overdue and VERY inspiring - so let's dive in!
This lesson centers around a variety of chord-based and rhythm guitar parts pulled from Steve's classic 1978 space rock masterpiece 'Green,' along with a song from the short-lived group Khan, and a classic from the legendary progressive band Gong. This includes sections of songs such as Leylines To Glassdom, Palm Trees, Sea Nature, Oily Way, The Glorious Om Riff, Unidentified (Flying Being), Mixed Up Man On The Mountain, and much more!
Needless to say, if you're a viewer that asked for some of Steve's pioneering and classic prog/space rock music, a player searching for some interesting/inspiring ways of arranging chords/riffs in a song, a guitarist looking for some unique chord-based ideas, or maybe you're just curious what all the fuss is about - this lesson is totally for you! Give this episode a view, leave some comments/feedback, and please subscribe to Late Night Lessons - THANK YOU!
