But Jaya didn't recognise the name when you asked about her, and now she says that Marianna WAS dating Dr. Dekker! Marianna either has Dissociative Identity Disorder or is actually possessed, and Scarlett is the other personality. (EDIT: as pointed out by some responses, DID fits better than BPD.)

You should pay closer to attention tbh... Nathan admits that he is talking to her while he is repeating the same day, so he while he has had many, many conversations with her, to the outside observer(in this case jaya), they have spoken rarely.
well he seems to be the type to be perplexed and interested in strange events then wanting to imitate it, look at Claire, he wanted her to reanimate a mouse for him and was very obsessed over it. So i feel it is more along the lines, that he wanted to try the flame in the hand trick to see if it actually worked

Also, if he is suffering the same days over and over again, why didn't he experiment and think, "Well, this day is just going to repeat. Why not tell him the hypnosis didn't work?" That also brings up the paradox of whether or not hypnosis actually existed because if it did, the he moved on to a different day which means he "learned to deal with hai grief" a little bit more. If it didn't happen, then he would have kept living that same day he was being hypnotized and learned to build up a tolerance for it making his act of forgetting that much more believable. It is a paradox b/c he could have simply built up a tolerance and then burned one of Hannah's things or got rid of it letting the day move on. However, that would mean he learned how to control the "curse" so you'd think he would have been through with Hannah's things by now and the curse would have been lifted but it is not which means he didn't build up a tolerance which means he shouldn't remember the hypnosis but he does... paradox

Depending on how many insanity points you've accrued through your choices, you'll see things that don't appear on the camera. It's very deliberate.
