This is probably originally a story in a different country. If it is 30 million yen that would be 198k dollars and 30 million won in South Korea is 22k dollars. Also remember that tuition costs also different in another country.
Scary attitude by stepfather. I wouldn't trust me, wouldn't feel safe. I would move out now, doesn't sound safe. If you really have that much money, move out and get lots of security for your new home, and don't give your mom a key because stepdad could get a hold of it.
Daisy needs to make a will immediately, and not make her birth mother, her beneficiary. Arlo could try to harm her life. She should also tie up the money so Arlo does not get hold of it.
@aulduron Ha! Ha! Ha! It'd be really interesting to see someone with $30Million out on the street and no roof over their head. . . Betcha the situation would last a nano-second only. . .
Well, a lot of these horrible, horrible stories are written in other countries. They may have taken 30 million rupee, which would just fund tuition + living expenses up to a masters, and simply substituted the word "dollars" without bothering to convert it to USD. Or for currencies actually called "dollars", Guyanese dollars are worth about 1/2 a US cent, so 30M in their currency is $141,000, just about right for a bachelors.
Probably not, considering if it's written by a woman who hasnt entered the workforce or moved out of home yet or is still at college. When asked what they think an average man makes they seem to think it's $250,000.00 and on the low scale $100,000.00. They're gonna be in for a shock if they don't have 30 million and they keep being told most of the jobs they're applying for are 20-35 k if they're lucky😂😂😂
Well, that's different. But the one thing that is likely to happen is, 'Arlo' is not gonna get his hands on the $30 Million belonging to his step-daughter - unless he can get away with murder for his natural son David's advantage.
This is totally stupid!!! Why would someone with 30 million dollars worry about being put out on the street. Why would anyone expect a step child to give her innheritance to him and his child? I could write a more believable story! Besides all of that, why would he be sent to prison for thinking about laundering money. I think you must actually commit the crime before going to prison.I repeat STUPID!!!
You don't always get that kind of money that fast and the Will has to be Registered, all prior debts of her father settled, Court - to make sure everything is Legal. Once that's all done the money can be disbursed. It makes sense to have an Attorney help explain everything and if the money's invested . . .!
How old is this story? It is new to me. A Florida resident from 1971. I was with the US Army, in other states/countries, for most of the next 9 years. Lived here since 1980. I saw nothing of this in a newspaper or on TV . If the mother only owned the house, it would be an illegal eviction. Maybe the mother blabbed to Arlo about the size of the father's estate. The main reason for the marriage. Getting the loot could have been part of a "long con".
Maybe OP should say 'I'll think about it' move out and cut contact or invest it in a safe program where they can't touch it (trust fund for themselves, long term CDs etc).
Yes, but it was a better quality A.I. voice then you get so many of these videos... Not perfect... But it got a lot more of the words pronounced correctly then most... No question it was still A.I. though... Didn't, however, help the credibility of the story at all...
What I don’t understand about these stories is Y do these people always want all the money Can’t they just ask for some if deserving n build on what they get???
They can demand all they want its her money and her dads to give her she needs to use the money to buy her own place.david didnt even know what his dad was talking about.did he marry her mom to get the money?
stepdad and stepbrother have no right to that money, it was left to OP not stepbrother. Do not give either of them the money. You have enough to move out and find a place of your own. I haven't listen to it very far but i hope ops mom isn't on board with that too. If so, cut ties with all of them. Btw who the heck needs $30 million for schooling?
This was a refreshingly good story , a young lady with a SPINE and a BRAIN who stood up for herself. My only quibble would be that I hope the write spends some time learning how to handle quotations in a story, use of quotation marks, etc. Once they master that they will be ready to move on from a story on TH-cam to submitting their stories for in print publication; I feel they are that talented.

If she had 30M, and she wanted to shut up these (maybe fictitious) duplicitous duo, she and her mom, since mom was probably duped, could write a contract to give these leaches no more than 30k ( should be enough) and promise they need never ask her for any money again!! I guess this is a good situational! Plus why were they even tell these ones about the inheritance, i really wouldn't tell even if there were better relationship.

United States, lol. $30M is about 100 times what you need for college. And the society depicted in the story doesn't sound like the US. Did you write it like it was in your real country and then forget to convert from your own currency?

If it's for a minor , in some places parents or guardians can file as executors over their estate and spend their money even their college fund.
