    I normally throw a 15 lb and was doing some messing arounds at the lanes yesterday and grabbed an 8 pounder for the kicks. I basically tripled my rev rate while not losing a lot of ball speed. Then it would hit the pins and the lack of mass meant a lack of momentum so it just kinda bounced off. It was so weird, but also understandable.

  • @bpmgaming3351

    Holy sh*t my man, you throw so consistently it's insane. This is coming from a guy who only ever played Junior Varsity bowling for all 4 years of high school. My freshman year tryouts, my average was like 60. I only got on the team because we didn't have enough others try out that year. Even at the end of senior year, I averaged around 110ish. My best game is a 186. I understand the fundamentals and how you're supposed to do it, but with the way I throw, consistency isn't easy for me. My coach said I have a "helicopter arm." When I throw, it's not a straight back and straight up into a handshake position, my arm goes behind the back. He tried to fix it by having a pool cue under my arm and telling me not to drop it, but I couldn't do it. I just had to adapt to it. Funny thing is, I now work with my coach from high school at a factory in town.

    I love watching that 20lb ball go down the lane. It's like a Mack truck speeding down the highway. Slow to get started but once it picks up nothing can stop it. Get it to the pocket and there's no chance of not striking.
    You should join an unsanctioned league and throw this ball, use the 8lb ball for spares. Then maybe you'd be the 250 avg bowler.

    I low key wanted to see the mph on the first throw with the 8 pounder. After the 20 pounder, I thought you might hit 20+ mph with the 8 lol. You could also do a bloopers with this where you throw the 20 pounder, then on the first shot with the 8lbs just loft it into the pins.

  • @thepain321

    Picking the heaviest ball always seemed like a flex to me. The lighter the ball, the harder and more accurate I can throw it. Can manage a few strikes a game. I need like a kiddie ball. Or candle pin bowling I do well. But a heavy ball I get nowhere. Cant even hold it with my fingers in the holes. I can swing it, get some momentum, but it’s much more effort for far less result. Usually get a gutter from fatigue using heavy ball.

    Looking at his posture when throwing the 20 lbs ball, it can be seen that he was playing with the desire to strike, while when he was playing the 8 lbs ball his front foot was always in some different position, i.e., unwilling to maintain the same consistency in every play.

    • @juliankfpolis
      @juliankfpolis ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On the 20 lbs ball the front foot always ends up in the middle of the court, while with the 8 lbs ball it always ends up on the left of the court, clearly showing a manipulation to make it look like the 8 lbs ball is worse.

      Just curious what is the reason for leagues alternating lanes?

      @@ACommentFromTH-cam I wasn't entirely sure so I looked it up. For the same reason football or basketball teams switch sides after quarters, for competitive balance. As each lane can have slightly different shots for a number of reasons. .

    How many years have you been bowling? You talk about knowing about bowling and working out. I assume you have done both for a while. When did you start bowling, and when did you start taking it seriously and practicing and working on your game, instead of just for fun?

    i feel like every video ive seen of 20lb balls, the weight really seems to be so good even on off shots w/ pin action and just the deep carry. Might be a great ball to have for a 1 gamer or something sometimes.

    Quick question but how do you manage to get a bowling ball in 20 pounds when the regulation size is 16 pounds, I watch this video plenty of times and ask myself that question but overall I like how each bowling ball performed considering the 8 pound is 12 pounds lighter than your 20 pounder you throw

    I've been bowling for years since junior bowling, travel league in high school, and some adult amateur tournament. Roll a 16lb ball forever. I started doing experiments with lighter balls. Inow roll a 10lb ball and it bounces off the pins better and my average went up, 10lb from now on

  • @robertaBooey69
    @robertaBooey69 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just going off physics the heavier the ball at the same speed will cause a lot more damage/action. I never went to college so that basic physics. It like a semi vs a mini cooper hitting the pins.
