She rocks!❤️ "Divine Attack - Shingeki" got some drum&bass combined with the heavy riffs of metal sound and belongs to the Cavalry snippets set they were releasing on The Other One digital gallery, also "The Other One" is the name of their next concept album. Love the "Pendulum" vibes in that DnB section, but also got some reminiscence to Kingslayer, their latest collab with BMTH. Great to see Su wrote the lyrics for this song. Moa has already talked about how she now takes on a bigger role with choreography. Love the Metal, Electronic and Drum & Bass mix we’ve heard in the song clips. Very contemporary and will sound great live.
@@KenjaTimu I have to disagree a little here. While songs like Giveme Chocolate feel generic. Other songs like Amore and Rondo of Nightmare are very different. Most of their songs are written in a manner that is hard to copy. In the idea of the lyric writing is not to be very specific. That way the listener can make it personal to them. Like are they talking about themselves or someone else or about you the listener. Most Babymetal songs you really cannot tell. That has carried through all the way to this new song. As they have gotten older did someone tell them it's time to stand and go your own way. Or are they just imploring you the listener to do that? At times it's really hard to tell in Babymetal songs which it is. I think in this song it's probably a bit of both. Someone may have said that to them or even they said it to someone else. And now used the line in this song to great effect. The lyrics for Kagarou remind me of this too. Like I said I only disagree a little bit because I think everyone has songs that are generic. And have to because it becomes too hard to relate to songs that are about very specific things or subject or too personal for the masses. While some of the fan base may get it many others will feel it's a good song but not my favorite. If you know what I mean.
@@KenjaTimu YOU COULD JUST AS WELL SAY VAN GOGH'S SUNFLOWERS PAINTING IS GENERIC. IF YOU ARE DULL YOU MAY SEE ONLY DULLNESS? DO YOU TEND TO SEE WHAT YOU ARE?
The dancing is an integral part of the Babymetal experience. It is the way they convey the feeling and meaning of the song to the non japanese speaking members of The One. Moa's role is equally as important as Su's vocals for this reason.
I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but did she actually listen to/watch more than Gimme Chocolate and maybe a live version of Headbanger? I'd say you should show her a few of the more serious songs, like Starlight or No Rain No Rainbow, and let her read the lyrics or tell her the backstory of it (you probably know most of the stories behind the songs now, Alan). And also, the name BABYMETAL has nothing at all to do with their appearance or age at their founding. It's "Baby" because it's considered a "new genre of metal", but it is also a wordplay between "babymetal" (ベビーメタル - Bebiimetaru) and "heavy metal" (ヘビーメタル - Hebiimetaru). The only difference between the two words in Katakana is the dakuten, the two little strokes/dots, on the ヘ, hence it's something like a Japanese pun, they love to do these things.
I don't know if any singer had made me tear up more over the past couple of years than Su. I avoided Babymetal for years, and when I finally started listening to them I was very surprised by my emotional reaction to some of their songs. I was not expecting that. This song has the same effect and is the perfect one for their comeback. And yes, it has made me tear up too. As for what the whole "Other One" concept will ultimately reveal remains to be seen.
Song is so good! I'm so happy for Su that she's finally able to write a song. It's always been her dream to be a singer-songwriter, but she kinda said in an old interview that she didn't have the confidence yet back then and wanted to understand metal more before doing so. It makes sense now because, as you guys said, the vocal phrasing is "more metal" now. Congrats, Su! Lots of great insights from the three of you, really enjoyed this reaction.
Sumetal has that magic in her voice that drags the emotion kicking and screaming out . This is just a visualiser , not the actual MV . I'm sure there will be choreo in the future I'm sure. Momoko is still there , so zero choreo is not anything that they would consider. Babymetal is the new style of metal they invented, nothing to do with them personally. The worlds a better place already. 🦊🦊💥🦊🦊
We all have a deep emotional investment in these girls....we have watched them grow up from 2010 to now. We feel a part of there growth and success. We know how kind these girls are we know there love for each other.....If we could get Yui back the stars would align and world peace would break out. That is my dream. Babymetal is life.
Like Herman Li said based on his exp with Babymetal this is just a warm up song. If its an f1 race this is not even a qualification song. Its fp1 song. The real song is when they present it live with live Kami, big stage and choreography.
Bro. BABYMETAL makes us all tear up once in awhile.. Don't feel alone in that...Apparently, on Spotify (I haven't personally checked) Su is listed as the lyric writer. There are rumors are that she also had a bit of a hand in the music. I'm guessing arrangement stuff.
I would guess Su- would have been involved more in melodic choices than arranging. We know that she has been called into the studio to create wordless vocal lines to partially developed tracks. She was contrasting that to how BxMxC was developed in an interview. But if she has indeed learned to play piano, perhaps chord choices would be next. So, I can envision a line into arranging. It has been 3 years since new music. OTFGK 🦊🤘
The technicalities of the instrumentation and mix of this song is impressive. The ending vocal harmonies follow up by an epic orchestra music still gives me chills.
I've really enjoyed watching Dicodec's BABYMETAL journey over the past few years. I think I started watching on their 2nd or 3rd BABYMETAL reaction. I believe Eric (so happy Eric is BACK!) had heard some songs before and seemed already interested in them, BUT I remember Alan wasn't into them until after 10 or more reactions! Now he is a full on BABYMETAL fan which is great to see. I believe Alan gets emotional because like many of us older guys we see the girls like they could be our daughters or nieces, and we are rooting for them, especially since they have so many haters/critics.🤘🦊🤘
The name Babymetal was a pun in Japanese. Almost identical in Japanese to heavymetal. Koba has said he chose this name because it was the birth of a new metal genre. The name was not intended as a reference to the age of the girls. Though it fits as well.
Honestly I'm going to love the album no matter what....but if Moa sings lead vocals on some songs I'm gonna lose my mind and go running through the streets of LA screaming about the FOX GOD
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。(FYI: According to the data I have, 9-string guitar, E-II MF-9, has been used for 4 songs : BxMxC / Brand New Day [2021 Budokan], Shantix3 / Elevator Girl [LMG 2020]) I clearly remember you guys reacting to Road Of Resistance about two years ago 😄 . The third era (or fourth?) of BABYMETAL has just begun. I reconfirmed the purity of Su's voice even after some maturity. Moa's velvety but powerful voice in the back sounds great, too. The first thing came up in my brain was Dante's "The Divine Comedy". A figure with wings reminded me of Beatrice in purgatory. The sacred image is overlapping with Su and Moa, but we all know that is just one of their various faces that we are going to witness from now on. Let's not be judgmental in haste. Hail to the newly born lyricist Su!! 😍
I've always suspected hidden deep knowledge. I will add that ISAO was using an 8-string on the Europe leg of the 2018 tour. A real trouper, he played through that summer with a bad case of tendonitis. Hope it wasn't related to the width of the fretboard.
@@johnschultz7765 That is correct. Isao also used ESP Snapper-8 Custom and E-II HRF-8B Custom in 10 Budokan concerts. (Just so you know, I am a trumpeter, not guitarist. I can only play Do Re Mi on acoustic guitar 😅. I am just referring to the published data in Japanese magazines. 😄 )
As always Eric, good evening! You don't mean to say that you have sealed the dance? No I don't think so, I saw somewhere that Su is also involved in the composition of this song. I think the consecutive release of singles is because of the confidence in its content, although I am afraid to listen to the second song next month.
I hope Babymetal back to the metal festival, Download, Sonisphere, Rock on the Range, Rock am Ring, or continue the performance that has been canceled, Hellfest, Graspop, Nova Rock, Knotfest, or maybe can get a place in Wacken or Bloodstock
Great to see you guys finally reacting to the song! I am so proud of Su for her credits on the lyrics! Her childhood dream became finally true being a singer/songwriter. The song is fantastic and reminds me a lot of “Kingslayer” and both, Moa and Su’s voices sound very mature and amazing as usual. ❤ 🤘🦊🔥
I was wondering why the other Gaijin Guys reacted right away, but none from Alan. Now I know why. Dicodec’s first reaction to Babymetal (“Road of Resistance”) is one of my favorites, where Eric tells Alan “That’s X-ing racist”… of course I know you people are far from it. (I’m Japanese so I can tell.) The reaction to “Stairway to Living legend” by Eric is also my favorite. He tears up and insists that they are just going on a hiatus and will come back with a new album and blow everyone’s X-ing mind. You were so correct! Full circle. My reaction was exactly the same as Eric’s. - Squishy! When I first heard her voice in the verse,”YES! Su’s voice… she's back!” and started to tear up. Then the chorus… she got me.
Just a heads up here! Revolver and RockSound TV are both putting out a Limited edition Sliver & Bronze LP. Which you can Pre-Order & will release when the album drops on March 24, 2023. Some other potentially good news as well other then the Sabaton tour. Which BM will be joining in April. Korn's production manager recently talked about Babymetal in detail. How they first met & maybe even the possibility of a tour was hinted at I hope! It's a cool interview which I wasn't expecting from an inside source like that. BabyMetal really is going in a direction now I had always hoped they would. _____________________________________________ While a concept album I realize. It seems to have enough in there from what I can tell from the restoration tracks. To keep it interesting & hopefully allowing Su & MoA to really shine now. This is a great start though here. I also recommend if haven't already for some. Checking out Rondo Of Nightmare Mischiefs Of Metal Gods at Budokan Live ( Intro Version). Think Su-Metal was only 16 in that performance here. I mention that because the contrasts now are pretty stunning. The live performances of Devine Attack-Shingeki are going to be epic here! BTW great Reaction as always guys. ✌️🦊💕
@@TheLeomarti @Tyyppl It was a joke towards the author (taking into account the positioning of his channels tracking news from babymetal), from whom I expected a reaction on the day (or at least the next) after the release of this song. ) His reaction appeared only four or five days later. But this is by no means a claim, of course. Just my reaction to unjustified expectations) Maybe I couldn't convey this point in my comment ("thanks" to the Google translator algorithm)
This song is the "Road of Resistance" for the new era. Not in the musical sense but rather in its sentiment. Except where "Road Of Resistance" was them charting an unknown path designated by others, this song is about Babymetal charting a known path of their own choosing. It's Su "standing up", declaring herself an adult, aka "a grown ass women". There is a reason this was the first song heard from this new era. It demonstrates what "this Babymetal" is going to be. They are no longer 15 year old girls in tutus fronting a metal band, they are grown women and serious artists, and this song is their statement to that effect.
I been waiting and waiting for Dicodec to do this. Where the heck you been huh? huh? I was like they have to react to this sooner than later. I am like you Alan, I tear up a bit every time hearing this. Su's voice is so beautiful, and I think it's just the pure joy knowing these girls are back and also just feeling so proud of them. You can't help buy have tears of joy. I think Moa would have a problem if they stopped dancing as that is what she was focusing on more when asked if she wanted to sing more. She was happy with her dancing and backing up Su. Of course we all hope she has a solo or a duet with Su in this album. I got the anime reference but I been seeing a few fan videos using Attack on Titan with it. 🤘🦊🤘 The time has come. Stand up!! 🤘🦊🤘❤
As to address your female guest here!! Keep in mind also that The Other One will be their 4th Album release. I get why some associate Babymetal with a more pop cadence. However that would be selling them short of all their other great metal songs over their 12+ year history. However given the girls are no longer teenagers now. It would seem to reason a change in direction is probably good path foward. However I highly suspect some of their Kawaii Metal aspects will remain intact given they helped pioneer the genre.
I did not even last as long as you before tearing up . Just bit of info Herman Lee just reacted to it and said from what he knows about them this wont be the best track He also showed his guitar he played on Road of Resistance on the album . 😁🤘🦊🤘
Nice reaction. A great first song for the new album. They charged in got new horses and road of again. People keep asking me is Babymetal back? Yeah, I'd say they're back. John Wick style. The lack of a dance routine here. Is not the first time they did this. When they first started performing Kagarou it was a Su solo. It was only later when they added the avengers, that they also added the choreography. I'd have to check to see if Moa even sings during that song. Or was that added later too. Moa comes in the last verse on this song though. And she adds in a layer to the vocals that is cool. But clearly the song starts with Su sing in her usual style. Then she goes into more of a rock style vocal. As you can clearly hear the agitation to the vocals as they build up to the chorus. Making the song again another blend of genres for Babymetal. Keeping their overall sound. Gotta have those blends not just in the music but in the vocals too. We'll have to wait and see what dance routine they do for this one.
8:20 disagree. They are in their 20's now. I think it makes sense to watch them mature. I think that was the point of them going away for a while to write this new album. This is like a rebirth.
Alan you look like I did when I first heard this song. Erik their live shows are performance art, so I doubt they will all of a sudden just stand behind mike stands. This has been a great week if you are into Japanese Metal/Rock (BABYMETAL new song, LOVEBITES new bassist, Nemophila spring US tour tickets just went on sale, and lastly, seeing Band Maid this weekend). Good job as always. Peace.
You have to wonder now that Su and Moa have settled into their adult voices will they start to phase out the Kawaii aspect of the music? Or will the band still keep some of that aesthetic not only in the music but visually too. One clue may have been last week when Boh and Takayoshi had a Livestream and Taka was in his full Kami Band makeup and outfit. Whatever the answer is only the Fox God Knows 🦊🤘
As someone who wasn't a big fan of babymetal, I actually really liked this song. I really hope Moa does dual Lead vocals with Su for some songs. I need harmonizing from both lol.
🤔🤔 maybe her vocals blended nicely with Su. I'll have to listen closer. Regardless I still want more leads from moa. Like in that headbanger live show. I think it was headbanger?
BMC wasn't a cute dance it was that was like something you would pritty much see from other bands kinda a one off. I know we all love sue but moa towards the end of the song her harmonising you can tell that her voice has matured and sounds amazing. I've listened to this song ALOT and have it on my play list. It's great to have them back. Cheers guys always enjoy you're reactions full of passion and joy.
Su is credited as the lyricist of the song yeah. In some old interview she mentioned she wanted to immerse better in Heavy Metal before writing herself, so it is probably time now. It is really interesting what Tina said, being a singer herself she knows better, about pop and rock vocals. It all makes sense, Amuse being an idol/pop company, their song writers maybe were used to that kind of pop vocals and put them into Babymetal. Now that Su enters and already feels like she has deep understanding of how this works in rock, she makes better metal vocals. I wonder if the whole concept album is going to be a story she wants to tell. PD: What if the message in the lyrics is not addressed to us but to ... 🍅
I'm sorry, I don't know the female presenters name. Having said that, I think she REALLY needs to listen to more BABYMETAL! There are many many examples of serious, non candy songs from the band over the years! Come on - they are WAY more than that. They do not dance to all their songs. Tails of the Destinies, Starlight, etc etc etc. Also, their name is not referring to THEM being babies. The BABY is in reference to the style of metal they introduced as being new - a baby metal. Su's voice has matured and clearly sounds awesome on this track - however, if you listen to 2020 No Rain No Rainbow (Also no dancing) you can not say they are not already well into that style as well. End rant. :-)
@@dicodec yes the song may sound ordinary but when we listen to it close,it is look like telling a tragedy, hope, expression of deep feelings that are difficult to express... Like screaming in my heart... I don't know your reaction I always follow your Chanel.... You can check by your self what your opinion for Alip Ba Ta songs.
Great! It was through you guys I've go to know BM. It's only fair that I get to see your reaction to their new song. I had a feeling that Su was singing in a lower register, but then Tina said that she's just singing in a "metal" style, instead of a "pop" one. It may as well be it and not her voice having changed tone. And yeah, it could've been in an EVA scene! Maybe "The Other One", as a concept album, is just them being a metal band, ditching the kawaii part. Like they said it was going to be "another side of BM, one we never seen before". Here's hoping that Su get to write more, and that Moa gets a solo song! 🤘🏻🦊🤘🏻
I think there is more to it then that which is usually the case with BM. They have always taken the long approach which kinda frustrates some fans. I personally like it as what band does this? I find it fun just trying to decipher all the cryptic messages here. Not to mention the great concept art and other s** which has come along the way. Apocrypha for instance was a brilliant promotion. Fans got something one of a kind in that. Not enough bands here do that. So they feel more distant as where Babymetal brings us along for the ride. Band-Maid is the same way when Miku does her improv skit. I love that s** and the auidences seem to as well. Anyways agree 100% with you here though. ✌️🦊💕
@@BlazinNSoul yeah. Gotta love them Maids too. BM is my favourite Metal band, but Band Maid is my favourite Hardrock band! I'm still waiting for the day they'll make a collab. Su and Moa dancing for the Maids? The Kami Band playing for Saiki? Su-Saiki/Miku-Moa quartet singing? The possibilities are limitless! After all, our Queen needs some Maids at her service, right?
If by "your way" she means "get back to BM", sure! If it means "go on be your own thing" fine as well! All I want is *some* news about Yui. That total radio (and video too) silence of hers is killing us!
@@Tyyppl I've let it go the time I saw her note. But last I knew, dreaming as free. 🤷🏻♂️ Like I said, I just want news from Yui. I doubt she'll ever come back to BM. So, what's going on with her?

I'm crying right now.
Tears of joy, of course.
Anything can happen to BabyMetal. I'd even believe it if anyone said Su-metal would hang upside down from the roof to perform this song. 😁🦊
The dancing is an integral part of the Babymetal experience. It is the way they convey the feeling and meaning of the song to the non japanese speaking members of The One. Moa's role is equally as important as Su's vocals for this reason.
I believe this coming new concept album will Fire !!!
BABYMETAL has the same eye's effect on me 🥲
This chorus is 100% perfect.
Great stuff, that was fun.🤘🦊
Sumetal has that magic in her voice that drags the emotion kicking and screaming out .
This is just a visualiser , not the actual MV . I'm sure there will be choreo in the future I'm sure.
Momoko is still there , so zero choreo is not anything that they would consider.
Babymetal is the new style of metal they invented, nothing to do with them personally.
The worlds a better place already.

Momoko is still with BABYMETAL? I’m sorry, don’t know what else to say… had no idea.
I hope BABYMETAL can have concerts all over the world.

@@dicodec I cried too. Ever since my daughter was born. Squishy for girls in a fatherly way.

If one of us cries we all cry haha. Oh dope, definitely going to have to double check that in a moment
OTFGK

@@dicodec, the press release stated lyrics by Su-metal.
The technicalities of the instrumentation and mix of this song is impressive. The ending vocal harmonies follow up by an epic orchestra music still gives me chills.
Well said 👌🏽
Yeah, they are back. And Dicodec was one of the first reaction channels that I was hooked into when they reacted Babymetal
That is awesome ti hear!
I'm fan of baby metal..I'm so love it ...God bless u baby matel .
All hail the Fox God 🤘🦊
The name Babymetal was a pun in Japanese. Almost identical in Japanese to heavymetal. Koba has said he chose this name because it was the birth of a new metal genre. The name was not intended as a reference to the age of the girls. Though it fits as well.
Babymetal 💕 🤟
Takes a real man to cry to babymental
As a 2019 babymetal fan I was very excited to hear this new song
Honestly I'm going to love the album no matter what....but if Moa sings lead vocals on some songs I'm gonna lose my mind and go running through the streets of LA screaming about the FOX GOD

I love this song! I'm happy that BM returned with a banger like this. 🙂
Su's voice in the chorus is soo good and so damn catchy! :D
RIGHT!
Queen Su metal❤️🤘🔥
08:14 The name "BABYMETAL" is not about them being "BABY". It's a genre and a play on the word 🙂
Nice! Thanks for the info on the 9 strings!

Goddamnit Squishy-Alan, this is such a positive and motivating song, now you make me kinda tear up too WTH lol.

That would be amazing!

I got the Evangelion reference. Lol I wasn't expecting this crowd to be anime fans!
(I’m Japanese so I can tell.)
The reaction to “Stairway to Living legend” by Eric is also my favorite.

This is a great start though here. I also recommend if haven't already for some. Checking out Rondo Of Nightmare Mischiefs Of Metal Gods at Budokan Live ( Intro Version).

It was a joke towards the author (taking into account the positioning of his channels tracking news from babymetal), from whom I expected a reaction on the day (or at least the next) after the release of this song. )
His reaction appeared only four or five days later. But this is by no means a claim, of course. Just my reaction to unjustified expectations)

Thank you all🤘 I'm happy 😃
Some people say squishy, some people say Otaku. Tomato, tomato.
I Can see that
I been waiting and waiting for Dicodec to do this.
The time has come. Stand up!!
Just bit of info Herman Lee just reacted to it and said from what he knows about them this wont be the best track
He also showed his guitar he played on Road of Resistance on the album . 😁🤘🦊🤘
I did to Alan
Let the medicine work it’s magic
I can't wait
I get the impression that the girl doesn't know BABYMETAL that well.
She doesn’t
Alan you look like I did when I first heard this song. Erik their live shows are performance art, so I doubt they will all of a sudden just stand behind mike stands. This has been a great week if you are into Japanese Metal/Rock (BABYMETAL new song, LOVEBITES new bassist, Nemophila spring US tour tickets just went on sale, and lastly, seeing Band Maid this weekend). Good job as always. Peace.
That sounded great! I like this music! The vocals are interesting. Thank you, friends, for your reaction.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😀
Su in the lyrics
time has come for them to get back in tour! 🤣
They have to!
What is she talking about? Babymetal isnt anything to do with babies or acting like babies. Songs like Shine are serious yet the dance is beautiful.

You just have Moa was in it a lot especially at the end her voice is a lot stronger now . 😁🤘🦊

It's great to have them back. Cheers guys always enjoy you're reactions full of passion and joy.
Yeahh!! 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
I agree with Tina. While this is a great track, I don't want BM to lose what makes them BM. Tina is so based.
End rant. :-)
