A big thanks to Schaff and Biff for joining me in predicting and Spongy for lending his voice - be sure to check out each of em or i will be mildly upset (and maybe even tut and sigh) Schaffrillas Productions - www.youtube.com/@SchaffrillasProductions Biff Weed - www.youtube.com/@BiffWeed Spongy - www.youtube.com/@Spongy654
Thanks for having me on! It was a lot of fun getting to waffle some more about my beloved Wuhu Island and unknowingly collab with the crab man. I eagerly await the start of the Toad’s Factory riot
I will be joining your Toad's Factory riot, but I shall be creating my own riot in the name of Mushroom City. Nintendo has better watch themselves, because I'm a difficult man to find.
For me, my “if it’s not there, I riot” pick is Piranha Plant Pipeline. Because it’s the only Tour Nitro that didn’t make it in so it’d be nice to have Tour’s final creation realized in the next game to have one last representative, AND because if it’s introduced as a Retro instead of a Nitro like the other 6 were, I know that there’s gonna be SOMEONE mad that a “Tour Labeled Retro” track took priority over their own preferred choice. Basically, I want someone to be mad that Tour had one last kick in there.
I noticed that starting in double dash, the last course in a game’s star cup became the 2 last course in the lightning cup 2 games later (DK Mountain, Airship Fortress, Grumble Volcano) so by that pattern Maka Wuhu will be the 2nd last Course in 9’s lightning Cup, and Mount Wario will be in Mario kart 10.
WAIT NO SHOT ME AND MY FRIENDS WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT FIGURE 9 CIRCUIT Anyways, this was a fun video! My only real want for the next game is Vannila Lake 2 and Pipeline personally, and I think both have a realistic shot in
Very interesting in general how we had some similar ideas, my picks are: -Shell DS Figure-8 Circuit, GCN Peach Beach, 3DS Shy Guy Bazar, WiiU Thowmp Ruins -Banana WiiU Toad Harbor, SNES Vanilla Lake 2, 3DS Mario Circuit, Wii Toad's Factory -Cherry (New) Wii Mario Circuit, GBA Yoshi Desert, N64 Wario Stadium, 3DS Wuhu Loop -Leaf GBA Luigi Circuit, WiiU Sunshine Airport, 3DS Wario Shipyard, SNES Bowser Castle 2 -Lightning N64 Banshee Boardwalk, GCN Mushroom City, Wii Dry Dry Ruins, DS Airship Fortress -Spiny (New) GCN Wario Colosseum, WiiU Cloudtop Cruise, DS Bowser Castle, GBA Rainbow Road For the Wii U picks I went with tracks that could be modified to remove antigravity if Nintendo decide to remove that feature in the next MK
I feel like the perfect ends to each cup would be Toad's Factory (my favorite track of all-time, despite liking 8 better than Wii) ending Shell, Piranha Plant Pipeline ending Banana, N64 Wario Stadium ending Leaf, and GBA Rainbow Road (the Rainbow Road from the most underrated and overhated Mario Kart game in the series) ending Lightning Edit: I'll see you all at the riot if they don't bring back Toad's Factory >:)
The way I think they'll do retros is that they'll have entirely new retros for the base game, and save returning retros for the DLC. With that being said... For my Wario track, I have a feeling Nintendo is finally going to bring back Wario Stadium. This is pretty much guaranteed to come back as the only N64 track that has yet to return. I would love to see it remade too, seeing as tricks, gliders and half-pipes would all work amazingly with the track's theme and design. I also think Mount Wario is going to be one of the priority courses from 8; it'll probably cap off the leaf cup. For the Mario Circuit track, I think it's finally Mario Circuit 4's time in the sun. It's the only retro Mario Circuit that has yet to come back and it's probably the second best of all of the current options. That being said, I would be lying if I said I didn't really want to see 7's Mario Circuit in the next game. For the desert track, my prediction prediction and wishful prediction are the same. Dry Dry Ruins is the one desert course that I actually like (Bazaar is decent but nothing special in my eyes). I'll be quick with the Wuhu track. I want Maka Wuhu back but if Mount Wario is coming back it probably wouldn't be in the same game because they're so similar, so probably Wuhu Loop. I actually have a pretty wacky idea for returning retros. I think it would be really cool if they brought any Tour city back, but changed up the routes from the 8DX version. It would make each of those tracks feel fresh. In that case I would pick Tokyo Blur, since it had so much potential that was absolutely squandered in the BCP. If the routes were changed up we could have a lap where you turn yourself around before the ramp and end up going backwards. But that would never happen so Airship Fortress. For the Bowser track, I really want Wii's Castle to come back, but knowing Nintendo that's likely not going to happen for a while, so I'll pick one of the 2D Bowser Castles instead. Seeing how much Nintendo was able to improve BC3, I think BC2 would be a great track to be the penultimate retro. The dead end could be turned into a more obvious shortcut (maybe one with a mushroom since the feather's never coming back in racing mode) and the one pointless corner turn would be more manageable to take with the new physics, so there would be greater incentive to get that extra item box. For the glow-up track, I would love to see Koopa Beach 1 get some time in the sun (get it?), seeing as I actually liked that track in its original game, and the Koopa Beaches haven't come back since the absolutely dogshit DS version. Vanilla Lake would be cool but I'm not losing sleep over its absence. I also agree with Schaff about Figure-8 Circuit, it's definitely gonna be the starting retro when it makes its triumphant return. I will riot if I do not see Mushroom City in the next game's retro selection. Not only is it an amazing track already, but it would pair so well with the lap changing gimmick that the BCP introduced. Take us down a different route each lap, and maybe even take us down those out of bounds highways from the original on the third lap. Hey, if we could go through the Kalimari Desert tunnel, anything is possible. For the Rainbow Road, I both think and hope that GBA's will come back. Even if the boinky boinky is gone or toned down, it would still be an amazing track visually and provide plenty of challenge with it's turns and the falling stars. Plus, I would love a remake of the music so it could sound a little more like a rainbow road than it currently does. Thanks to whoever read all of this and sorry for rambling so much lol
I reeeally want a course based on World Bowser from 3D World. Imagine racing through a casino while trying to avoid poker chips and tricking off of roulette tables
My list using tracks that were never remade (2 per game except N64 and Tour) Shell: DS Figure 8 Circuit, SNES Koopa Beach 1, U Sunshine Airport, 3DS, Wuhu Loop Banana: Wii Mario Circuit, GCN Mushroom City, GBA Broken Pier, Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline Leaf: N64 Wario Stadium, Wii Toad’s Factory, U Ice Ice Outpost, DS Bowser Castle Lightning: GCN Wario Colosseum, SNES Bowser Castle 2, 3DS Maka Wuhu, GBA Rainbow Road (I wanted to have each game to have a retro course in the first half of the track list, and one in the second half)
Honestly, the at least two inevitable courses for the next game are 3DS Maka Wuhu & GBA Rainbow Road. Even more honestly, I would believe that a great portion of their retro selections are those that were seen in Tour, but not in 8DX. Logically, even if they use some for DLC, why would they make such courses just to throw them away? One thing for sure, using this logic, we will definitely have at least three separate Bowser's Castles for the first time since MKWii (GBA BC4; 3DS Bowser's Castle; & the new one). I feel like the next game will mostly be another collective of retros, featuring both those that were already remastered and even those that have never been remastered, even within Tour. They might as well just entirely mashup the new one and 8DX as one gigantic bundle. It may not mean anything, yet I believe they gave us our answer from the very first wave of the DLC within Coconut Mall; specifically with the Dino Dino Jungle and Vanilla Lake banners, two courses of which that did not appear in the DLC, and perhaps waaaaay back at the very beginning (in 2014) ever-so-subtly with Sunshine Airport; specifically with what appears to be N64 Koopa Troopa Beach in the background, a course of which that also did not make it in 8DX. All in short, we are quite likely in for a sequel in regard to loads of content that we will be pleasured with.
I’d say mine would be... Shell Cup: GBA Peach Circuit, 3DS Daisy Hills, WiiU/Switch Sweet Sweet Canyon, and DS Luigi’s Mansion Banana Cup: 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar, SNES Mario Circuit 4, Wii Toad’s Factory, and N64 Wario Stadium Piranha Plant Cup: N64 Frappe Snowland, GCN Mushroom City, Wii Dry Dry Ruins, and Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline Leaf Cup: Tour Squeaky Clean Sprint, SNES Vanilla Lake 2, N64 DK’s Jungle Parkway, and GCN Wario Colosseum Lightning Cup: 3DS Maka Wuhu, WiiU/Switch Cloudtop Cruise, DS Bowser Castle, and GBA Rainbow Road I also have another prediction or a backup one if you will... The base Mario Kart 9 won’t have ANY RETROS and will instead be saved for DLC like the third party tracks.
As much as I want Mount Wario to come back in MKX, critically thinking I don’t believe Nintendo would bring it back so soon, especially with other tracks that’ve never been remade at all or have only been remade in Tour. Here’s what I’m predicting what Nintendo will do: * Shell Cup - DS Figure-8 Circuit (You know how 8’s N64 Rainbow Road took and mixed elements from every prior RR? I can very well imagine them doing the same for F8C but for mixing elements of every prior beginning track: the pipes and oil spills from SNES MC1, the wide sloped banked turns from N64 Luigi Raceway, Peach’s Castle in the background and the peach fruit trees from GBA Peach Circuit, the dash panels and crossover combat potential of GCN LC, the trick panels from WII LC, the glider panels from 3DS Toad Circuit and the grandstands, tire stacks and night skybox from Mario Kart Stadium, plus have the gap jump from Smash Brawl & Ultimate’s version of F8C) - U Sweet Sweet Canyon (Largely unchanged besides from the lack of anti-gravity, since I thoroughly believe Nintendo won’t bring it back for the next game) - GBA Cheep Cheep Island (Largely unchanged from the GBA version besides from some extra underwater paths and shortcuts to accommodate for underwater driving) - WII Toad’s Factory (Largely unchanged besides from the music not restarting when you exit the factory and go onto the final stretch) * Banana Cup - 3DS Wuhu Island Loop (Largely unchanged maybe besides from the alternate paths being a bit more obvious to see and enter, plus some increased scaling to accommodate for 12 [or more] racers) - U Sunshine Airport (Largely unchanged besides from the lack of anti-gravity) - SNES Mario Circuit 4 (Largely unchanged besides from some notable elevation for the turns akin to Tour’s remake of GBA Peach Circuit) - N64 Wario Stadium (Much like the hypothetical remake of DS F8C, the reimagining of N64 WS will mix aspects of associated entries in its track type, those being both the metallic mesh roadways and 2-lap structure of GCN Colosseum and the big speed jumps, mud sections and immersive atmosphere from OG DS Stadium. In addition, also taking major notes from CTR Nitro Fueled’s remake of Tiny Arena with its bombastic stadium lights, grandstands and gigantic monuments of the titular course named character. The so-called “retconning” of this original course doesn’t hold up since Nintendo have remade and reiterated on the same course name’s concepts [Both Sherbet Lands and Moo Moos have returned, Cloudtop Cruise in Japan is literally called Sky Garden) * Leaf Cup - WII Dry Dry Ruins (Largely unchanged from the Wii version besides from maybe adding a glider ramp to the mushroom shortcut right before the end of the track, plus some slight drivable portions for the iconic skips) - 3DS Wario Galleon (Largely unchanged from the 3DS version apart from increased scaling) - GCN Mushroom City (Largely unchanged maybe besides from the alternate paths being a bit more obviously telegraphed) - GBA Lakeside Park (Largely unchanged from the GBA version) * Lightning Cup - U Cloudtop Cruise (Largely unchanged besides from the lack of anti-gravity, since I thoroughly believe Nintendo won’t bring it back for the next game) - NS Ninja Hideaway (Largely unchanged from the Switch version apart from the inclusion of Tour-exclusive elements that weren’t present on consoles, such as the sideways wooden ramp near the first set of stairs, and the Naruto-running Shy Guy in the Trick version) - WII Bowser’s Castle (Largely unchanged asides from the remix being ripped from Super Nintendo World) - GBA Rainbow Road (Thematically it’ll be a mix between 8’s remakes of both SNES and N64 RR’s, where it’ll be both a vibrant challenge and a celebratory victory lap, but the track design is given 8’s GBA Ribbon Road treatment where trick opportunities are practically everywhere, plus nearly all the edges of the track will have glider ramps enticing racers to fly as much as possible akin to the super-bouncy guard rails in the GBA version) (Completing main Retro GP will then unlock 2 bonus Retro cups) * Bell Cup - SNES Vanilla Lake 1 (Largely unchanged from the Tour version) - Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline (Largely unchanged besides from changing the name monicker from TOUR to MOB, mostly for when MKT shuts down nearer in the future when the next major MK game releases) - DS Delfino Square (Presentably revamped to match more of Sunshine’s overall aesthetic, specifically Delfino Plaza, and a backwards final lap akin to Croco64’s fan-made rendition) - N64 DK’s Jungle Cruise (Largely unchanged from the N64 version, but with additional speed pads and trick panels, with a glider ramp replacing the launch over the river, a jungle-electronic remix of the music theme just like the CTGP version and a sunset akin to Orangutan Gang from DKC1) * Spiny Cup - U Super Bell Subway - NS Squeaky Clean Sprint (Largely unchanged from the NS version apart from having an additional pathway from the beginning top section to the bath area) - GBA Bowser Castle 4 (Largely unchanged from Tour’s version apart from having 3 full laps) GCN Rainbow Road
I'll go ahead and make a list not only of all the tracks I want to see return for the hypothetical Mario Kart 9, but also order them into cups. A few rules before I start: First, I'm making the executive decision to have 5 cups instead of the usual 4, because this far into the series, 4 cups and 16 courses to go with them is starting to feel too limiting. Second, I'm picking 2 courses per game; Mario Kart 8 is a special case here, so know that there's "Wii U" (Mario Kart 8 + its DLC courses), "NS" (Mario Kart 8 Deluxe's Booster Course Pass courses), and "Tour" while keeping in mind that how a course is labelled in regards to this is dependent on the precise debut date and platform of a particular course, just in case you notice any discrepancies with how the Booster Course Pass currently labels some courses. Finally, not so much a rule, but an explanation, I'm heavily prioritizing courses that have not been remade for this, so that should give you a better idea of my logic here. With all that said: Shell Cup: Course 1 - SNES Koopa Beach 1 Course 2 - 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar Course 3 - N64 Frappe Snowland Course 4 - NS Yoshi's Island Banana Cup: Course 1 - N64 Wario Stadium Course 2 - Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline Course 3 - GCN Mushroom City Course 4 - SNES Mario Circuit 4 Leaf Cup: Course 1 - Wii Toad's Factory Course 2 - Wii U Electrodrome Course 3 - 3DS Wario Shipyard Course 4 - GBA Rainbow Road Lightning Cup: Course 1 - NS Accelerated Toilet Course 2 - GCN Wario Colosseum Course 3 - Wii Dry Dry Ruins Course 4 - DS Bowser Castle Spiny Cup: Course 1 - Tour Ninja Hideaway Course 2 - GBA Broken Pier Course 3 - Wii U Super Bell Subway Course 4 - DS Rainbow Road I'll check back to see how well this prediction list holds up after Mario Kart 9 releases in 2057.
I think some retros in this game could come back in MK 9 / X. I could see Nintendo doing 16 new retros that aren’t in 8DK like they’re been doing, and 8 that are in. I’ll list the ones I think have the highest chance Music Park - It’s the most liked non section track from 7. It’s theme is unique and there are places you can add half pipes Tick-Tock Clock - A well liked track with unique theming. There are places where you can add half pipes and there is no anti gravity, so there is potential there Yoshi Circuit - It was a priority in DS and the first track to be remade twice. It was also heavily used in the marketing. It’s not a priority, but I can see it as dlc Baby Park - It’s Baby Park Cheese Land - Unique theming with half pipe potential. It could also have its space theme come back to make it stand out more Ribbon Road - Unique theming and one of the most liked tracks in the game. But Squeaky Clean Sprint may lower its chance Coconut Mall - The most popular Wii track that didn’t have the best remake Kalimari Desert - the most unique N64 track alongside a city-like track. It also stands out from many desert tracks Waluigi Pinball - The most popular DS track, alongside massive antigravity Mushroom Gorge - a well liked Wii track Rock Rock Mountain - A well liked 7 track that could have an improved remake, especially if they tune gliding a bit Maple Treeway - One of the most liked Wii track. It also has tons of antigravity potential, look at Wild Woods DK Summit - One of the best uses of half pipes that greatly enhances the track’s theme. Also Wii nostalgia Waluigi Stadium - one of the most liked GCN track with great use of halfpipes. Also Wii nostalgia Daisy Cruiser - one of the most liked GCN track with a unique theme Koopa Cape - A well like Wii track that hasn’t had the best remake. DK Mountain - The most popular GCN track and one of the most liked Wii retros Bowser Castle 3 - It’s arguably the best Bowser Castle, one of the best remakes, and flat out the best SNES track
I will try to do my own prediction : Shell cup : Daisy Hills (wanted to have more 3DS and Wii U track so i choose two early one that i liked) Sweet Sweet Canyon Koopa Troopa Beach (obligatory beach track) Toad Factory (obviously) Banana cup : Mario Circuit 3DS (Obligatory Mario Circuit) Mushroom Bridge (Obligatory car tracks) Delfino Square (Love this track, probably one of the best DS one. Since Peach Garden was remade in the BCP despite being in Wii, it would be a logical inclusion) Piranha Plant Pipeline (obviously) Leaf Cup : Sunshine Aeroport (One of my favorite track in 8) DK Pass (Controversial, i wanted an ice track but since 8 + BPC has a lot of them, i didn't have that much choice. I could have choose Merry mountain but i found this track boring, same for vanilla lake, Mont Wario is better as a dlc, so it's this track or frappe snowland and since i wanted two DS representative) Choco ISland 2 (Controversial but i want to see this track with trick implemented. I think this track was horrendous in DS and it really need a second chance imo) Wario Shipward (Probably the best 3DS track to pick tbh, since i don't think they care about the Wuhu track, also, since i chose this track, i didn't pick any other wario track or Airship forteress) Star Cup : Dry Dry Ruins (Obligatory desert track) Wild Woods (i think that they will bring back a track from the DLC and i think Wild Woods is the best candidate for it, it's not tied to a third party character and it's an enjoyable track) GCN Bowser castle (My favorite BC) GBA Rainbow Road
Let's see, I think the Wario track is easily Colosseum. It's old, unique, and a remake would go hard. Plus it was excluded from your No resort tracks as, as much as it hurts to say, I don't think they'll ever bring crossover tracks back (unless they're doing a brand new one) Mario circuit is.. bloody hell 7's I guess?? Second remake tracks are Mushroom Bridge and Delfino Square, they would be so amazing in glorious HD (and Bridge deserves it) 2D remakes in my opinion are GBA Bowser's Castle 4 (Probably dlc), Lakeside Park and Vanilla Lake 2 (BC 4 was probably intended for the BCP but they ran outta space with how many changes it got) Rainbow road is DS as I think it would be neat (let's be real though they are doing GBA) Bowser's Castle is 7 (I think 7 Bowser castle has an amazing song and it could definitely be spiced up to become an A-class course) Tracks I will riot for are Lakeside Park and Mushroom City! :D Desert track is Shy guy bazaar as it got robbed on the Wii U from a DLC slot, I think it deserves to thrive Ice track is Vanilla Lake 2 once again And as a bonus Toad Harbour as the beach course cuz let's be real it ain't gonna be Cheep Cheep Lagoon
Great video musty, loved the features as well! As for what I think: Shipyard 100% should be a priority wario course to bring back; whilst I haven’t played DD, an updated version of colosseum would go hard If there’s one circuit that should get in I’m bagging on gcn luigi circuit getting a second chance; if there has to be a Mario circuit, I’ll advocate for MC4 Whilst I believe that ruins will make it in, I think bazaar is different enough for it to join and act as an earlier retro desert Second time retros I’d love to see are delfino square, airship fortress, koopa troopa beach and banshee boardwalk ^ if we’re counting tour remakes as first time remakes, then lakeside park deserves another chance Regarding bowser castles, whilst I’m preaching for both BC4 and GCN castle, DS castle seems to be the realistic option For a ground up remake, a vanilla lake seems most likely (acts as the obligatory snes track too!), and whilst 2 is more intricate, Nintendo could be wacky and remake 1 instead lol And lastly, I’d say it’s almost a guarantee that we get gba rr, regardless of whether it translates well or not into a modern MK engine As for toads factory, I’m already working on my picket signs 🫡
I will be taking my pitchfork for the Toad's Factory riot. My GOAT will wait no longer or there will be hell to pay. But what I was particularly interested in was how much 8 was (understandably) pushed to the side in this discussion. While it is fairer to focus on tracks we haven't been playing for 10 years, there definitely will be some 8 retros so I wanted to lock my predictions in for what I think Nintendo would go for. Now every game with retro tracks has had 4 "priority courses" as the crab man puts it except 8 itself with 3 from 7 (4 technically with Neo Skill Issue City but that's DLC which is still weird territory). I'll just go for 4 right now. Now considering Retro picks in previous titles, I think that 7 was the exception to the general thought process of giving us inoffensive to pretty good but not outstanding choices. With that in mind, I'm thinking Sweet Sweet Canyon for Shell, Dolphin Shoals for Banana, Electrodrome for Leaf and Cloudtop in Lightning. This was actually harder than I thought it would be since I was keeping the video's speculation in mind (ex. initially had Twisted Mansion here but hey, Broken Pier might get a shot). Also if base 8 DLC is on the table, replace Cloudtop with Ice Ice cause I want that snoozefest off the list immediately. Nevertheless, I think I made a pretty good shout for what Nintendo might do for the 8 retros. Mario Kart 9/10/X/Give me an actually good subtitle Nintendo. I'm tired of console names and numbers. Also I missed some of the 9 speculation roast streams so if these choices are common I will feel very stupid.
Thought I'd share my retro predictions for mario kart 9/10/X/Whatever. These are kind of a mix of what I want to see and stuff I think Nintendo would do. I also excluded retro tracks that have appeared in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and other mainline mario kart games. (except for tour) *Shell Cup:* *DS Figure 8 Circuit:* Not many options for DS tracks outside of this one, bowser's castle, and rainbow road. The last two kinda interfered with the last picks of my retro selection, so I picked this one because, eh, it's a starting track, and it could work for a starting retro. Plus, it would be really REALLY funny if it got in. You're laughing now, but wait until figure 8 actually makes the cut. *SNES Vanilla Lake 1:* It's kind of between this one and vl2. I went with this one because idk it's easier and it would fit the shell cup more. vl2 could also occupy this spot, honestly. Of course, they'd have to give this track a glow up to make it not suck as much as the original. *3DS Shy Guy Bazaar:* Feels shell cup worthy imo, not much else to say. *Wii U Toad Harbor:* Feels like a good ending track for the shell cup. Might be a bit too difficult for it, but snes donut plains 3 was in 8's banana cup, so it might happen. *Banana Cup:* *3DS Daisy Hills:* Not in the shell cup becuase I wanted it to have at least 2 cool tracks instead of 1. *SNES Ghost Valley 3:* THIS is the track that I want Nintendo to glow up the most. I feel like the original is already satisfyingly difficult and challenging, so a remake with other cool details and touch ups could be really cool *Wii U Sunshine Airport:* I am biased towards this track. I also think it could be expanded on further with some new stuff. *Wii Toad's Factory:* I'm joining the angry mob if it doesn't get added, I'll be in row 32. *Leaf Cup:* *GBA Lakeside Park:* Feels like a good track to start off the leaf cup imo. A new mario kart game would probably make this track a lot easier, which is why I feel like it belongs here and not in lightning. *GCN Mushroom City:* I never played double dash so I don't know how fun this track actually is but it looks cool so i'm adding it. *Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline:* The only original tour track to not be in 8 deluxe outside of the snes remixes. It should definitely be in the next mario kart game to give more people a chance to play it, myself included. *N64 Wario Stadium:* This track sucks but Nintendo could make it good by making it 1 lap + adding some other cool stuff. I really hope that nintendo does actually secretly care about this track, because it feels weird being the ONLY n64 track to never get remade. *Lightning Cup:* Wii U Electrodome: My reasoning for this placement is that this track would feel like a calm before the storm before the other dangerous settings in the lightning cup, plus i feel like it would be cool to see some minor touch ups here and there. *3DS Wario Shipyard:* Feels like a retro track that's dying to come back, and I feel like it's thematically fitting for a lightning cup. *GCN Bowser's Castle:* I really want Nintendo to remake a bowser's castle that wasn't originally flat and had multiple variants, so gcn bowser's castle feels like a good pick for this spot. Haven't played this version but it looks really cool. *GBA Rainbow Road:* 7 ended its retro selection with snes rainbow road, 8 ended its base retro selection with n64, tour ended its retro selection with , so it would be fitting if gba rainbow road ended the next mario kart game's retro selection. if they remove the paper mario bowser's castle in the background, i won't be surprised, but i will be sad. Those are all of my retro selections, hopefully they at least made sort of sense. also yes I did spell electrodrome incorrectly earlier, it was entirely intentional just to make people angry.
What I want Nintendo to do: Shell Cup: Wii Luigi Circuit 3DS Daisy Hills GBA Cheep-Cheep Island Wii U Thwomp Ruins Banana Cup: Wii U Toad Harbor 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar SNES Mario Circuit 4 Wii Dry Dry Ruins Leaf Cup: Wii Toad's Factory Wii U Sunshine Airport N64 Wario Stadium GCN Mushroom City Lightning Cup: Wii U Cloudtop Cruise 3DS Maka Wuhu DS Bowser Castle GBA Rainbow Road What I realistically think Nintendo will do instead: Shell Cup: DS Figure-8 Circuit N64 Moo Moo Farm Wii U Sweet Sweet Canyon 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar Banana Cup: Wii Mario Circuit Wii U Toad Harbor Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline SNES Vanilla Lake 1 Leaf Cup: Wii U Sunshine Airport Wii Dry Dry Ruins GBA Bowser Castle 4 GCN Wario Colosseum Lightning Cup: Wii U Cloudtop Cruise N64 Banshee Boardwalk 3DS Maka Wuhu GCN Rainbow Road
I was literally just thinking of this lol I’m feinding for something for the next game. Anyways here’s my prediction Luigi- GCN circuit obviously Wario - shipyard Mario - MC4 or 7. ( GCN would be cool though) Desert - dry dry ruins Wuhu - island loop ( I don’t want maka because the next game might not have good glider physics) Ghost- broken pier Beach- N64 Koopa troopa beach And some others I would like that are not or another category are airship fortress, Toads factory, Desert hills, donut plains 2, Mushroom city, and lakeside park, banshee boardwalk Sorry if I yap to much I just like kart racing games.
Great Video Musty, great collab with Biff Weed and Crab Man. (Crab Man is right, Bone-Dry Ruins would be funny) Here are my Retro predictions (based on both Nintendo likely picks and my choices) Notes: I believe a six cup Retro lineup is more likely in a post MK8DX Society. No MK8 Retros were allowed for my predictions, everything else was fair game. I made the BOLD move to include 3 Bowser Castle Tracks because its my list, which means my rules. Piranha Plant Pipeline is my Riot pick. Shell: GCN Luigi Circuit, 3DS Daisy Hills, N64 Koopa Troopa Beach, Wii Toad's Factory Banana: WiiU Toad Harbor, N64 Frappe Snowland, 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar, Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline Egg: WiiU Dolphin Shoals, GBA Yoshi Desert, N64 Banshee Boardwalk, SNES Bowser Castle 2 Leaf: SNES Mario Circuit 4, WiiU Wild Woods, 3DS Wario Shipyard, DS Airship Fortress Bell: SNES Vanilla Lake 2, GBA Broken Pier, GCN Mushroom City, DS Bowser's Castle Lightning: Wii Dry Dry Ruins, GCN Wario Colosseum, GBA Bowser Castle 4, DS Rainbow Road
outside of the obvious Toad's Factory because of course, my current most wanted course for a new Mario Kart is Figure-8 Circuit simply because it would be the funniest thing Nintendo has shown to us since Chris Pratt Mario and i am betting my money that it will BREAK the internet. I need to watch the world BURN... 😈😈😈😈😈
Wario- Wario Collisuem or Shipyard Mario- Mario Circuit 4 Resort- none 2D tracks- Vanilla Lake 1 and Lakeside Park(Cooler Daniel😎) Rainbow Roads- GBA or DS Rainbow Road save GCN for the next game Bowsers Castle- GCN BOWSER CASTLE FTW Tracks I will Riot- Shy Guy Bazaar and Pirhana Plant Pipeline(they’ve been ignored) Desert tracks- Shy Guy Bazaar obviously Ice tracks- Vanilla Lake 1 Beach Course- GBA Cheep Cheep Island
I think for the Wario track, Nintendo does go for Wario Stadium N64, largely because it’s the last one they haven’t remade from 64 and I feel like “…Yeah, I guess we have to.” Without that context, I might’ve said Colosseum from Double Dash just because there was a lot of talk around that one for 8, IIRC. The rest of my predictions are gonna lean towards wants more than what I think Nintendo will do since Nintendo will read all our comments and do the least predictable thing to screw with us, let’s be real. Mario Circuits, I’d want 7’s, just because that one would be great visually in HD. I’d want a Yoshi Desert glow up like Cheese Land and Ribbon Road got. I’m gonna go crazy for Wuhu tracks and say they bring both back. It just would feel weird to go for one and not have the other, IMO. Like something is missing. I’m gonna pick Koopa Beach 2 for re-remakes to spread some love to other games. Delfino Square would be awesome, but I do gotta consider remakes from every game, not just the ones I played and have nostalgia for (which is everything but the SNES game and I still played those tracks on GBA). Bowser track- To fill in a gap I haven’t covered yet, I’m gonna pick Bowser’s Castle from Wii. I see DK Jungle Parkway in the footage for from the ground up glow up and I pick that one! This is entirely DK bias. No further questions. I think Toad’s Factory is THE riots track, but I think the other riot track is Airship Fortress. Those are the two big riot tracks in the BCP that weren’t there. Also, my gut just says they do go for GBA for the Rainbow Road. I dunno, without evidence they’d break the pattern, BCP aside, I feel like they do go for GBA Rainbow Road. Again, this is a gut feeling, though I do think they’d take from GCN if not. And those are my locked in retro picks. Mostly wants, but I tried to pick stuff I think they… might possibly do. I dunno. I’m not much of a predictor.
Ok I’m gonna cook. Shell cup: Wii U Mario kart stadium SNES Bowser castle 1 GCN Luigi circuit Wii Toads factory These shell cup tracks are all fun and chaotic without being very hard. After snes bowser castle 3 glow up, snes bowser castle 1 can have that glow up as well but since it’s easy it won’t go too crazy, having GCN Luigi circuit in the middle does seem odd but GBA Mario circuit was the 2nd track of the shell cup in 8 when it should’ve been the first and moo moo meadows should’ve been second so I’m making that strange choice too. Banana cup GBA Shy guy beach N64 Frappe Snowland DS Delfino Square 3DS Shy guy bazaar So we start at a chill beach, then to the calm land of Frappe Snowland, to then the beauty of Delfino Square and then end in an actual good desert track. Leaf cup SNES Mario circuit 4 N64 Wario Stadium GCN Mushroom bridge Wii dry dry ruins This is not exactly the best cup, Nintendo do make weird decisions on putting Mario circuits in later cups, N64 Wario stadium is one of my most hated tracks of all time but I’m whiling to give it a second chance, mushroom bridge is whatever and you might call me weird for putting dry dry ruins because of shy guy bazar but wiis got nothing left 😂 Lightning cup GCN Wario Coliseum DS Airship Fortress N64 Bowser castle GBA Rainbow road Here me out, your escaping the coliseum and then go and attack on airship fortress, then you arrive at bowsers castle and then you beat him and all you do is one final challenge on Rainbow road
Its important to note that if N64 Wario Stadium was remade in MK8, then there would've been FIVE N64 retro tracks in the base game. So they probably made a good call with using DS Wario Stadium instead. And even if they go with two, they'll most likely choose N64 Wario Stadium, bc unless they choose to repeat and not choose Wario Stadium, this course eventually has to be remade.
My Course Prediction for the next MARIO KART game: NITRO GRAND PRIX: MUSHROOM CUP Mushroom Circuit Koopa Falls/Koopa Troopa Falls Sunshine Beach Dry Dry Dunes FLOWER CUP Toad's Train Station Mario Circuit Piranha Plant Mountain Banshee Forest STAR CUP Frosty Snowland Cheep-Cheep Lake Wario's Bomb Tower DK Island/DK's Jungle Island SPECIAL CUP Sky-High Stadium Rosalina Highway Bowser's Castle Rainbow Road RETRO GRAND PRIX: SHELL CUP DS Figure-8 Circuit 3DS Daisy Hills Wii Toad's Factory Wii U Thwomp Ruins BANANA CUP 3DS Cheep Cheep Lagoon/3DS Cheep Cheep Cape DS Shroom Ridge Wii U Sunshine Airport SNES Mario Circuit 4 LEAF CUP Wii Dry Dry Ruins 3DS Rosalina's Ice World Wii U Electrodrome GBA Bowser Castle 4 LIGHTNING CUP Wii U Cloudtop Cruise N64 Wario Stadium GCN Bowser's Castle GBA Rainbow Road BATTLE MODE: NITRO ARENAS Battle Colosseum Boo House DK Temple Paper Kingdom RETRO ARENAS GCN Tilt-a-Kart 3DS Sherbet Rink N64 Double Deck GBA Battle Course 2
Wario themed - definitely want to see both Shipyard and Coliseum back. Its too soon for Mt. Wario and no Stadium for me, since I finally played MK64 on Nintendo Online and I dont want to ever see it again. Mario Circuit - my clear pick is 3DS one, but if Mario Circiut 4 apperas, i wont be mad at all. Desert - definitely Dry Dry Ruins (or Shy Guy Bazaar). If we somehow get Yoshi Desert over those 2 I will be mad I never played Mario kart 7, so I desperately need to experience Waka Island tracks. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, THEY LOOK SO GOOD! Wii, 8 Deluxe and 64 and Super Circuit on Nintendo Online are the only games I played, so there are lot of tracks that I want to come back, just to finally play on them or experience some of them in HD. Dino Dino Jungle, Koopa Troopa Beach, Vanilla Lake and plenty others, but my clear pick is Airship Fortress. I need to finally play it. I want Gamecube Bowser's Castle or nothing. Really don't want to see any other. Everyone will probably say it, but I want Vanilla Lake tracks to get the the glowup they deserve. They could be so interesting. Tracks that need to be in next game or I riot - Toad Factory (obviously), Mushroom City, since it never came back and its way too cool to leave behind and Delfino Square. I desperately need it back. I'm begging you please, it's so charming and I want to play it again. I wouldn't be suprised if DS RR gets picked, but I locking in Gamecube RR. I want to see it in HD and finally sing "It's called a road it's called a Rainbow Road" while playing the track, instead of just singing.
here's what I think: Shell Cup 1: Wii Luigi Circuit - The final turn at the end could be elevated roughly 45 degrees and have some anti-gravity shenanigans, with the rest being pretty faithful to the original gameplay-wise. (both for me and Nintendo, however I could see them being weird and swapping this and Daisy Hills around so DH starts Shell Cup and LC is 2nd) Mario Circuit: none. I don't think there will be a retro MC, at least I don't hope so. But, I have a slight feeling Nintendo will bring back 3DS MC, and if so swapping it for either DH or SGB in the Banana Cup... if they do I will be sad. Wuhu track: Wuhu Mountain Loop/Maka Wuhu WILL be in. DK Mountain, Airship Fortress and Grumble Volcano being the penultimate of the Lightning Cup tell me enough for this track to return - even N64 BC coming after DKM in Wii's Lightning Cup, and really only for a 6 Cup format, I wouldn't be surprised if WML ends the Lightning Cup like N64 BC. If it's a 4 cup format, It's either ending the Leaf, starting the Lightning or sacrificing the Bowser Castle for it's place. But I'm betting on that 6 cup format. Riot track (besides Wii TF): While I didn't predict it, Airship Fortress is an obvious choice and it's what I think Nintendo will pick to go before WML. If I was to stick with my predictions, I think I would cry if we didn't get Shy Guy Bazaar AND Mushroom City. I'm still confident in both of these, as SGB was going to be in the Wii U DLC and not Cheese Land, and GCN MuCi is the only non BC/RR in DD!! to not be remade (besides Coliseum). But as long as i get 2 of these 3, I'll still be sad but I might spare Nintendo for now... WAAAAARIO: 2 Wario's. N64 WS and GCN WC. I don't think the argument you said here for N64 makes sense, as it was either Royal Raceway or Stadium to pick as they share the same song. They saw RRy and DS WS to be better choices for base game, so they went with it. I'm confident it will get a good remake in the next game. AS for Coliseum, despite me loving Shipyard so much it's my favourite Wario track, i've already used quite a few 3DS tracks, and I think WC really deserves a second chance. However, seeing as they kinda have a similar 'theme', I'll say N64 and Shipyard as Nintendo's choice. Desert: I've already mentioned SGB... but if that doesn't count then I would LOVE Yoshi Desert in here. I know not having DDR seems like a crime, but I slightly prefer YD over Ruins, like VEEEEEERY slightly. and also the Wii babies were spoiled enough they can live without DDR imo, and while I'm not sure Nintendo would pick Yoshi Desert, I believe they'll think Toad's Factory is good enough for the big Wii track, and save Ruins for later. Round 3 track: So you know how 8DX has 3 DK tracks? Well I think the other 2 deserve this spot. DKJP really just needs a better song and I'd be happy with it as it is my 3rd favourite N64 track, and Pass is actually my 3rd favourite DS track, with how charming these tracks are to me I would love to see them again! But I think nintendo will only have 1 DK. As we already have 2 wario's. so congratulations to Parkway for being a Wii remake and not DK Pass! Wowser Castle (and RR) : as much as I don't like it, I predicted for Nintendo to pick DS Bowser Castle. Coliseum is already in the (insert last cup here) Cup anyway. What do I want? GBA BC4. But I didn't predict it (even with 6 cups) because of GBA RR. I'm Confident Nintendo will pick it, and It's my favourite GBA course, so I WANT IT MORE! sure, I could've had BC 4 be the end of the 4th or 5th cup, with GCN,DS or Wii's being before RR, but I think this is more realistic.. even though MKWii had 2 retro BC's lol
Imo I think the tracks that you could consider "lock ins" are Wii Toad's Factory, DS Bowser Castle, N64 Wario Stadium, and Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline. Toad's Factory since Nintendo obviously kept up with the community during the BCP days and heard the outcry and popularity of the track, Wario Stadium since there's no other N64 track to pick, Piranha Plant Pipeline since it was (STUPIDLY) left out of the BCP, and DS Bowser Castle since when we look at Wii or GCN vs DS in terms of tracks, DS would only have Figure 8 Circuit which I doubt will be picked, and DS Rainbow Road which is very very unlikely considering the pattern of base games ending with Rainbow Roads in order of release, leaving only Bowser Castle.
@@Sir_Musty I would be sad cause besides Wario Stadium these are the tracks I really want, and kinda dictate whether or not I get the next game and console lol.
They might still use tracks from tour for the retro tracks. So I could see them using wii dry dry desert, wii mario circuit. gba yoshi desert, gba bowsers castle 4, gba riverside park and gba peach circuit. ds airship fortress, n64 Koopa troopa Beach. 3ds Wario Galeon, 3ds shy guy bazaar and 3ds bowsers castle. Snes vanilla lake 2 and for 8 they could do anything mario circuit, yoshi Island, shy guy falls and cloud top cruise.
Don't really like doing predictions since I don't wanna downgrade myself to nintendo standards, so my "predictions" are basically the ones I want: Lakeside Park, Wario Colosseum, playable GBA BC4, Toad's Factory, Snow Panic, Namco Stadium, fuck it Wibble Woods Surely ONE of these will be in the next mk game.
Tracks I think are lock ins: SNES I hope they'd give glow up juice to MC 4 and to see one of the two Vanilla Lakes, preferrably 2, especially if Frappe Snowland does come back since it's harder N64 Wario Stadium and either Banshee Boardwalk or Frappe Snowland as 2nd time retro (maybe even all 3 if they don't bring back any of the Vanilla Lakes) For GBA, I'm still gonna go with Rainbow Road, and any of the left over Tour remakes like BC4 and Cheep Cheep Beach GCN I''m praying and begging for Wario Colosseum and Mushroom City, with priority to Mushroom City since that would make 2 Wario tracks with Stadium. for a 2nd time retro, I would pick Luigi Circuit, but I can see Peach Beach if they pick Figure 8 circuit for the basic track retro DS I would pick Bowser Castle, based on the fact that they'd prioritize DS retros for the 2nd time retro tracks and choose GCN Luigi Circuit instead of DS Figure 8. As for 2nd time retros, I can't see a world where we don't get Delfino Square again, and Airship Fortress would be a treat. Wii is easy ; Toad's Factory and Dry Dry Ruins 7, I don't think we're seeing the Wuhu tracks, especially with Switch sports killing off Miis like you said. But if they pick one, I think it'd be Maka Wuhu, because the other tracks I'm seeing as possible retros are all early tracks like Shy Guy Bazaar, and the other Mushroom Cup tracks. And 8... Anything goes. But I think they would prioritize DLC tracks, like Superbell Subway and maybe the BCP """"nitros"""" like Bathroom Blitz (genuinely forgot the real name, that's brainrot) because I'm sure Nintendo's aware we've been playing the base 8 tracks for 10 years I named a little more than 16 tracks (I counted 21-22 depending on tracks I think are mutually exclusive), but I doubt Nintendo will go back to 4 nitro/retro cups with how well fed we've been from Deluxe, would seem like a huge downgrade and I'm sure they're aware of it, so I think that's ok
im gonna go on a long shot and say the next game is when they bring back PORT TOWN AERO DIVE from F-ZERO GX. also i think one of the MK8 tracks most likely to come back is Animal Crossing for the categories you listed, i hope we get: Wario Colisuem Shy Guy Bazaar the sunset Wuhu Island (i always get the two names mixed up) Luigis Mansion, for 2nd remake DS rainbow road!!! i am biased!!! DS was my first mariokart xP i think one or two categories i dont care also i just wanna say youre very cute musty :) rizz off the charts
Assuming the Switch 2 is backwards compatible, I don't think they're gonna bring back anything from 8 deluxe / bcp to incentivize people to own both games. And there's not much they could improve on with the 8 deluxe tracks anyways. They're about as good as can be.
This is my personal list for the new retro tracks for the next Mario Kart Shell Cup Wii Luigi Circuit Wii U Sweet Sweet Canyon GBA Cheep Cheep Island 3DS Wuhu Loop Banana Cup 3DS Mario Circuit SNES Vanilla Lake DS Delfino Square NS Yoshi’s Island Leaf Cup 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar N64 Wario Stadium NS Accelerated Toilet Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline Bob-omb Cup Wii U Sunshine Airport GCN Mushroom City Wii Toad’s Factory DS Airship Fortress Super Horn Cup GBA Lakeside Park GCN Dino Dino Jungle (Yes this one is very biased) Tour Ninja Hideaway Wii U Mount Wario Lightning Cup GCN Wario Colosseum 3DS Maka Wuhu DS Bowser’s Castle GBA Rainbow Road
My "we riot" tracks are Toad's Factory, Mushroom City and at least one of the Wuhu Tracks. But when it comes to characters I NEED my goat Hammer Bro they gotta free him from the phone game 🙏🙏
If you’re predicting Nintendo would do DS BC and seem to think it’ll be the penultimate track because of your reasoning for ignoring the SNES BCs it wouldn’t make sense for them to pick DS RR because that would be 2 back to back DS tracks
A big thanks to Schaff and Biff for joining me in predicting and Spongy for lending his voice - be sure to check out each of em or i will be mildly upset (and maybe even tut and sigh)

Thanks for having me on! It was a lot of fun getting to waffle some more about my beloved Wuhu Island and unknowingly collab with the crab man. I eagerly await the start of the Toad’s Factory riot
The secret riot planning bunker always has a chair on the table for you, my man
Crab man and weed man
Musty pulling out all the stops for the title
I will be joining your Toad's Factory riot, but I shall be creating my own riot in the name of Mushroom City. Nintendo has better watch themselves, because I'm a difficult man to find.
@@GeneralPenguinIsCool I'll join both riots 🤣
no way he collabed with the crab man
We got Crab-Man himself in Sir Musty video before GTA VI
For me, my “if it’s not there, I riot” pick is Piranha Plant Pipeline.
Because it’s the only Tour Nitro that didn’t make it in so it’d be nice to have Tour’s final creation realized in the next game to have one last representative, AND because if it’s introduced as a Retro instead of a Nitro like the other 6 were, I know that there’s gonna be SOMEONE mad that a “Tour Labeled Retro” track took priority over their own preferred choice.
Basically, I want someone to be mad that Tour had one last kick in there.
Piranha Plant Pipeline should also be in the "We Riot" tier cause how could they not bring it back In the BCP
If that ends up being true, you need to give me the winning lottery numbers
Glad to be able to start riots about Mario Kart tracks for ya! Hope yall like the torches
WAIT NO SHOT ME AND MY FRIENDS WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT FIGURE 9 CIRCUIT
Anyways, this was a fun video! My only real want for the next game is Vannila Lake 2 and Pipeline personally, and I think both have a realistic shot in

This is the biggest collab since fortnite and family guy
THE CRAB MAN AND THE WEED MAN
also you may be cooking with SNES BC2….
Very interesting in general how we had some similar ideas, my picks are:
-Shell
DS Figure-8 Circuit, GCN Peach Beach, 3DS Shy Guy Bazar, WiiU Thowmp Ruins
-Banana
WiiU Toad Harbor, SNES Vanilla Lake 2, 3DS Mario Circuit, Wii Toad's Factory
-Cherry (New)
Wii Mario Circuit, GBA Yoshi Desert, N64 Wario Stadium, 3DS Wuhu Loop
-Leaf
GBA Luigi Circuit, WiiU Sunshine Airport, 3DS Wario Shipyard, SNES Bowser Castle 2
-Lightning
N64 Banshee Boardwalk, GCN Mushroom City, Wii Dry Dry Ruins, DS Airship Fortress
-Spiny (New)
GCN Wario Colosseum, WiiU Cloudtop Cruise, DS Bowser Castle, GBA Rainbow Road
For the Wii U picks I went with tracks that could be modified to remove antigravity if Nintendo decide to remove that feature in the next MK
Great minds think alike 🔥
Having both your opinion and your actual prediction is very interesting, I like it
I'm glad you enjoyed it, my man
Vanilla Lake 2 mentioned, video of the year.
I can’t wait for the game to be announced one day and Nintendo TH-camrs start predicting 100+ characters and expect them all to come to the gane
Talking Flower from Wonder or someone at Nintendo is getting an angry email 🙏
I feel like the perfect ends to each cup would be Toad's Factory (my favorite track of all-time, despite liking 8 better than Wii) ending Shell, Piranha Plant Pipeline ending Banana, N64 Wario Stadium ending Leaf, and GBA Rainbow Road (the Rainbow Road from the most underrated and overhated Mario Kart game in the series) ending Lightning
Edit: I'll see you all at the riot if they don't bring back Toad's Factory >:)
Didn’t think id see a Schaff jumpscare
This is gonna help me get through work!!
I think it would be cool if you went inside of one of the spooky mountains if they remake broken pier
That'd be so dope, I'm gonna tell my uncle to make it happen
Woashi! Its a double collabi exploshi!
I reeeally want a course based on World Bowser from 3D World. Imagine racing through a casino while trying to avoid poker chips and tricking off of roulette tables
Having recently finished 3D World, they honestly have to, it would be so awesome
Very cool video! I think I'm gonna riot if we don't get DS Bowser's Castle, gotta be my favorite one with its setpieces.
Even as DS BC's mildest disliker, a remake would be goated
My list using tracks that were never remade (2 per game except N64 and Tour)
Shell: DS Figure 8 Circuit, SNES Koopa Beach 1, U Sunshine Airport, 3DS, Wuhu Loop
Banana: Wii Mario Circuit, GCN Mushroom City, GBA Broken Pier, Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline
Leaf: N64 Wario Stadium, Wii Toad’s Factory, U Ice Ice Outpost, DS Bowser Castle
Lightning: GCN Wario Colosseum, SNES Bowser Castle 2, 3DS Maka Wuhu, GBA Rainbow Road
(I wanted to have each game to have a retro course in the first half of the track list, and one in the second half)
But Musty sir, what if the next game is called "Mario Kart X" ?
Are they gonna make a FIgure-X circuit ????
That is just 4 different dead ends????
I think you might be onto something here...

At 20:07, What’s hilarious is that I genuinely think you’re cooking here.
I’d say mine would be...
Shell Cup: GBA Peach Circuit, 3DS Daisy Hills, WiiU/Switch Sweet Sweet Canyon, and DS Luigi’s Mansion
Banana Cup: 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar, SNES Mario Circuit 4, Wii Toad’s Factory, and N64 Wario Stadium
Piranha Plant Cup: N64 Frappe Snowland, GCN Mushroom City, Wii Dry Dry Ruins, and Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline
Leaf Cup: Tour Squeaky Clean Sprint, SNES Vanilla Lake 2, N64 DK’s Jungle Parkway, and GCN Wario Colosseum
Lightning Cup: 3DS Maka Wuhu, WiiU/Switch Cloudtop Cruise, DS Bowser Castle, and GBA Rainbow Road
I also have another prediction or a backup one if you will...
Here’s what I’m predicting what Nintendo will do:
* Shell Cup
- DS Figure-8 Circuit
(You know how 8’s N64 Rainbow Road took and mixed elements from every prior RR? I can very well imagine them doing the same for F8C but for mixing elements of every prior beginning track: the pipes and oil spills from SNES MC1, the wide sloped banked turns from N64 Luigi Raceway, Peach’s Castle in the background and the peach fruit trees from GBA Peach Circuit, the dash panels and crossover combat potential of GCN LC, the trick panels from WII LC, the glider panels from 3DS Toad Circuit and the grandstands, tire stacks and night skybox from Mario Kart Stadium, plus have the gap jump from Smash Brawl & Ultimate’s version of F8C)
- U Sweet Sweet Canyon
(Largely unchanged besides from the lack of anti-gravity, since I thoroughly believe Nintendo won’t bring it back for the next game)
- GBA Cheep Cheep Island
(Largely unchanged from the GBA version besides from some extra underwater paths and shortcuts to accommodate for underwater driving)
- WII Toad’s Factory
(Largely unchanged besides from the music not restarting when you exit the factory and go onto the final stretch)
* Banana Cup
- 3DS Wuhu Island Loop
(Largely unchanged maybe besides from the alternate paths being a bit more obvious to see and enter, plus some increased scaling to accommodate for 12 [or more] racers)
- U Sunshine Airport
(Largely unchanged besides from the lack of anti-gravity)
- SNES Mario Circuit 4
(Largely unchanged besides from some notable elevation for the turns akin to Tour’s remake of GBA Peach Circuit)
- N64 Wario Stadium
(Much like the hypothetical remake of DS F8C, the reimagining of N64 WS will mix aspects of associated entries in its track type, those being both the metallic mesh roadways and 2-lap structure of GCN Colosseum and the big speed jumps, mud sections and immersive atmosphere from OG DS Stadium. In addition, also taking major notes from CTR Nitro Fueled’s remake of Tiny Arena with its bombastic stadium lights, grandstands and gigantic monuments of the titular course named character. The so-called “retconning” of this original course doesn’t hold up since Nintendo have remade and reiterated on the same course name’s concepts [Both Sherbet Lands and Moo Moos have returned, Cloudtop Cruise in Japan is literally called Sky Garden)
* Leaf Cup
- WII Dry Dry Ruins
(Largely unchanged from the Wii version besides from maybe adding a glider ramp to the mushroom shortcut right before the end of the track, plus some slight drivable portions for the iconic skips)
- 3DS Wario Galleon
(Largely unchanged from the 3DS version apart from increased scaling)
- GCN Mushroom City
(Largely unchanged maybe besides from the alternate paths being a bit more obviously telegraphed)
- GBA Lakeside Park
(Largely unchanged from the GBA version)
* Lightning Cup
- U Cloudtop Cruise
(Largely unchanged besides from the lack of anti-gravity, since I thoroughly believe Nintendo won’t bring it back for the next game)
- NS Ninja Hideaway
(Largely unchanged from the Switch version apart from the inclusion of Tour-exclusive elements that weren’t present on consoles, such as the sideways wooden ramp near the first set of stairs, and the Naruto-running Shy Guy in the Trick version)
- WII Bowser’s Castle
(Largely unchanged asides from the remix being ripped from Super Nintendo World)
- GBA Rainbow Road
(Thematically it’ll be a mix between 8’s remakes of both SNES and N64 RR’s, where it’ll be both a vibrant challenge and a celebratory victory lap, but the track design is given 8’s GBA Ribbon Road treatment where trick opportunities are practically everywhere, plus nearly all the edges of the track will have glider ramps enticing racers to fly as much as possible akin to the super-bouncy guard rails in the GBA version)
(Completing main Retro GP will then unlock 2 bonus Retro cups)
* Bell Cup
- SNES Vanilla Lake 1
(Largely unchanged from the Tour version)
- Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline
(Largely unchanged besides from changing the name monicker from TOUR to MOB, mostly for when MKT shuts down nearer in the future when the next major MK game releases)
- DS Delfino Square
(Presentably revamped to match more of Sunshine’s overall aesthetic, specifically Delfino Plaza, and a backwards final lap akin to Croco64’s fan-made rendition)
- N64 DK’s Jungle Cruise
(Largely unchanged from the N64 version, but with additional speed pads and trick panels, with a glider ramp replacing the launch over the river, a jungle-electronic remix of the music theme just like the CTGP version and a sunset akin to Orangutan Gang from DKC1)
* Spiny Cup
- U Super Bell Subway
- NS Squeaky Clean Sprint
(Largely unchanged from the NS version apart from having an additional pathway from the beginning top section to the bath area)
- GBA Bowser Castle 4
(Largely unchanged from Tour’s version apart from having 3 full laps)
GCN Rainbow Road
With all that said:
Shell Cup:
Course 1 - SNES Koopa Beach 1
Course 2 - 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar
Course 3 - N64 Frappe Snowland
Course 4 - NS Yoshi's Island
Banana Cup:

I'll check back to see how well this prediction list holds up after Mario Kart 9 releases in 2057.
I think some retros in this game could come back in MK 9 / X. I could see Nintendo doing 16 new retros that aren’t in 8DK like they’re been doing, and 8 that are in. I’ll list the ones I think have the highest chance
Music Park - It’s the most liked non section track from 7. It’s theme is unique and there are places you can add half pipes
Tick-Tock Clock - A well liked track with unique theming. There are places where you can add half pipes and there is no anti gravity, so there is potential there
Yoshi Circuit - It was a priority in DS and the first track to be remade twice. It was also heavily used in the marketing. It’s not a priority, but I can see it as dlc
Baby Park - It’s Baby Park
Cheese Land - Unique theming with half pipe potential. It could also have its space theme come back to make it stand out more
Ribbon Road - Unique theming and one of the most liked tracks in the game. But Squeaky Clean Sprint may lower its chance
Coconut Mall - The most popular Wii track that didn’t have the best remake
Kalimari Desert - the most unique N64 track alongside a city-like track. It also stands out from many desert tracks
Waluigi Pinball - The most popular DS track, alongside massive antigravity
Mushroom Gorge - a well liked Wii track
Rock Rock Mountain - A well liked 7 track that could have an improved remake, especially if they tune gliding a bit
Maple Treeway - One of the most liked Wii track. It also has tons of antigravity potential, look at Wild Woods
DK Summit - One of the best uses of half pipes that greatly enhances the track’s theme. Also Wii nostalgia
Waluigi Stadium - one of the most liked GCN track with great use of halfpipes. Also Wii nostalgia
Daisy Cruiser - one of the most liked GCN track with a unique theme
Koopa Cape - A well like Wii track that hasn’t had the best remake.
DK Mountain - The most popular GCN track and one of the most liked Wii retros
Bowser Castle 3 - It’s arguably the best Bowser Castle, one of the best remakes, and flat out the best SNES track
I mean, I take Ds Rainbow Road any day !
As for my riot track....
Figure 8 Circuit
Bite me
I will try to do my own prediction :
Shell cup :
Daisy Hills (wanted to have more 3DS and Wii U track so i choose two early one that i liked)
Sweet Sweet Canyon
Koopa Troopa Beach (obligatory beach track)
Toad Factory (obviously)
Banana cup :
Mario Circuit 3DS (Obligatory Mario Circuit)
Mushroom Bridge (Obligatory car tracks)
Delfino Square (Love this track, probably one of the best DS one. Since Peach Garden was remade in the BCP despite being in Wii, it would be a logical inclusion)
Piranha Plant Pipeline (obviously)
Leaf Cup :
Sunshine Aeroport (One of my favorite track in 8)
DK Pass (Controversial, i wanted an ice track but since 8 + BPC has a lot of them, i didn't have that much choice. I could have choose Merry mountain but i found this track boring, same for vanilla lake, Mont Wario is better as a dlc, so it's this track or frappe snowland and since i wanted two DS representative)
Choco ISland 2 (Controversial but i want to see this track with trick implemented. I think this track was horrendous in DS and it really need a second chance imo)
Wario Shipward (Probably the best 3DS track to pick tbh, since i don't think they care about the Wuhu track, also, since i chose this track, i didn't pick any other wario track or Airship forteress)
Star Cup :
Dry Dry Ruins (Obligatory desert track)
Wild Woods (i think that they will bring back a track from the DLC and i think Wild Woods is the best candidate for it, it's not tied to a third party character and it's an enjoyable track)
GCN Bowser castle (My favorite BC)
GBA Rainbow Road
They could make a great remake out of Bowser Castle 2.
My retro picks are as follows:
-Shell: GCN Luigi Circuit, 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar, SNES Koopa Beach 1, N64 Moo Moo Farm
-Banana: SNES Mario Circuit 4, DS Luigi’s Mansion AKA Tour Boston Building, N64 DK’s Jungle Parkway, Wii Toad’s Factory
-Leaf: DS Delfino Square, Wii Dry Dry Ruins, SNES Vanilla Lake 2, 3DS Wuhu Loop
-Bell: 8DX Super Bell Subway, DS Airship Fortress, GBA Lakeside Park, GCN Mushroom City
-Lightning: N64 Wario Stadium, GCN Wario Colosseum, 3DS Wario Shipyard, 8DX Mount Wario
-Spiny: 8DX Cloudtop Cruise, Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline/Warp Pipe Canyon, Wii Bowser’s Castle, GBA Rainbow Road
My riot picks are SNES Mario Circuit 4, Toad’s Factory, Wuhu Loop, Mushroom City, and Warp Pipe Canyon.
---- Shell Cup ----
GCN Luigi Circuit
3DS Daisy Hills
WiiU Sweet Sweet Canyon
Wii Toad's Factory
---- Banana Cup ----
SNES Mario Circuit 2
DS Delfino Square
N64 Frappe Snowland
GCN Mushroom City
---- Leaf Cup ----
GBA Cheep-Cheep Island
WiiU Electrodrome
3DS Wario Shipyard
DS Airship Fortress
---- Lightning Cup ----
N64 Banshee Boardwalk
Wii Dry Dry Ruins
DS Bowser Castle
GCN Rainbow Road
I feel like it’d be really interesting if one of Tour’s RMX tracks got brought back, some of those are pretty neat
Sir musty casually just drops one of his best made and edited videos? Fantastic work 👏👏
Thak you so much, I'm glad you enjoyed!
How about we just make a wario cup instead
All 4 wario tracks back to back :tf:
this is the same company that nerfed his ass, they'll never do it 😔
me personally, I’m gonna riot if Piranha Plant Pipeline from Tour doesn’t return…
Mario Kart X Retro Track Predictions:
1. Shell Cup:
1. DS Figure-8 Circuit
2. SNES Ghost Valley 1
3. Wii Toad’s Factory
4. Wii U Thwomp Ruins
2. Banana Cup:
1. Wii Mario Circuit
2. 3DS Daisy Hills
3. GBA Cheep-Cheep Island
4. Wii U Sunshine Airport
3. Bell Cup:
1. 3DS Wuhu Loop
2. SNES Donut Plains 2
3. GCN Mushroom City
4. Wii U Ice Ice Outpost
4. Leaf Cup:
1. Wii U Electrodrome
2. GBA Lakeside Park
3. 3DS Wario Shipyard
4. SNES Mario Circuit 4
5. Lightning Cup:
1. Wii U Super Bell Subway
2. 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar
3. SNES Vanilla Lake 2
4. N64 Wario Stadium

1. Wii U Cloudtop Cruise
2. Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline
3. GCN Bowser’s Castle
4. GBA Rainbow Road
7. Battle Courses:
1. N64 Double Deck
2. GBA Battle Course 2
3. Wii Funky Stadium
4. NS Lunar Colony
5. Tour New York Minute B
6. Tour Paris Promenade B
Let's see,
I think the Wario track is easily Colosseum. It's old, unique, and a remake would go hard. Plus it was excluded from your
No resort tracks as, as much as it hurts to say, I don't think they'll ever bring crossover tracks back (unless they're doing a brand new one)
Mario circuit is.. bloody hell 7's I guess??
Second remake tracks are Mushroom Bridge and Delfino Square, they would be so amazing in glorious HD (and Bridge deserves it)
2D remakes in my opinion are GBA Bowser's Castle 4 (Probably dlc), Lakeside Park and Vanilla Lake 2 (BC 4 was probably intended for the BCP but they ran outta space with how many changes it got)
Rainbow road is DS as I think it would be neat (let's be real though they are doing GBA)
Bowser's Castle is 7 (I think 7 Bowser castle has an amazing song and it could definitely be spiced up to become an A-class course)
Tracks I will riot for are Lakeside Park and Mushroom City! :D
Desert track is Shy guy bazaar as it got robbed on the Wii U from a DLC slot, I think it deserves to thrive
Ice track is Vanilla Lake 2 once again
And as a bonus
Toad Harbour as the beach course cuz let's be real it ain't gonna be Cheep Cheep Lagoon
Great video musty, loved the features as well! As for what I think:
Shipyard 100% should be a priority wario course to bring back; whilst I haven’t played DD, an updated version of colosseum would go hard
If there’s one circuit that should get in I’m bagging on gcn luigi circuit getting a second chance; if there has to be a Mario circuit, I’ll advocate for MC4
Whilst I believe that ruins will make it in, I think bazaar is different enough for it to join and act as an earlier retro desert
Second time retros I’d love to see are delfino square, airship fortress, koopa troopa beach and banshee boardwalk
^ if we’re counting tour remakes as first time remakes, then lakeside park deserves another chance
Regarding bowser castles, whilst I’m preaching for both BC4 and GCN castle, DS castle seems to be the realistic option
For a ground up remake, a vanilla lake seems most likely (acts as the obligatory snes track too!), and whilst 2 is more intricate, Nintendo could be wacky and remake 1 instead lol
And lastly, I’d say it’s almost a guarantee that we get gba rr, regardless of whether it translates well or not into a modern MK engine
As for toads factory, I’m already working on my picket signs 🫡
(except for tour)
*Shell Cup:*
*DS Figure 8 Circuit:* Not many options for DS tracks outside of this one, bowser's castle, and rainbow road.
*Banana Cup:*
*3DS Daisy Hills:* Not in the shell cup becuase I wanted it to have at least 2 cool tracks instead of 1.
*SNES Ghost Valley 3:* THIS is the track that I want Nintendo to glow up the most. I feel like the original is already satisfyingly difficult and challenging, so a remake with other cool details and touch ups could be really cool
*Wii U Sunshine Airport:* I am biased towards this track. I also think it could be expanded on further with some new stuff.
*Wii Toad's Factory:* I'm joining the angry mob if it doesn't get added, I'll be in row 32.
*Leaf Cup:*
*GBA Lakeside Park:* Feels like a good track to start off the leaf cup imo.
*Lightning Cup:*
Wii U Electrodome: My reasoning for this placement is that this track would feel like a calm before the storm before the other dangerous settings in the lightning cup, plus i feel like it would be cool to see some minor touch ups here and there.
I really want more scripted content like this. This was really fun
This was really fun to make so im glad you enjoyed!
I'm not in a spot to do these sorts of videos super regularly but I'm def gonna do more
@@Sir_Musty ay I like the streams and reactions too. Looking forward to more stuff in general
Mushroom City needs priority over Mushroom Bridge since Bridge has already been brought back twice now while City has never been remade
III, personally, will be starting a riot AGAINST hyrule circuit returning.
What I want Nintendo to do:
Shell Cup:
Wii Luigi Circuit
3DS Daisy Hills
GBA Cheep-Cheep Island
Wii U Thwomp Ruins
Banana Cup:
Wii U Toad Harbor
3DS Shy Guy Bazaar
SNES Mario Circuit 4
Wii Dry Dry Ruins
Leaf Cup:
Wii Toad's Factory
Wii U Sunshine Airport
N64 Wario Stadium
GCN Mushroom City
Lightning Cup:
Wii U Cloudtop Cruise
3DS Maka Wuhu
DS Bowser Castle
GBA Rainbow Road
What I realistically think Nintendo will do instead:
Shell Cup:
DS Figure-8 Circuit
N64 Moo Moo Farm
Wii U Sweet Sweet Canyon
3DS Shy Guy Bazaar
Banana Cup:
Wii Mario Circuit
Wii U Toad Harbor
Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline
SNES Vanilla Lake 1
Leaf Cup:
Wii U Sunshine Airport
Wii Dry Dry Ruins
GBA Bowser Castle 4
GCN Wario Colosseum
Lightning Cup:
Wii U Cloudtop Cruise
N64 Banshee Boardwalk
3DS Maka Wuhu
GCN Rainbow Road
I am King Neptune in that clip
i chose Banshee just for you
Come hell or high water, if Toad's Factory and Mushroom City are not in 9, I will be rioting in the streets.
They should just add a Wii cup every Mario kart game from now to keep the
Wii agents fed
JUSTICE FOR SNES MARIO CIRCUIT 4. Also, I would have been disappointed if Schaff didn't come in here to hype Figure 8 Circuit.
Toad's factory needs to be added to the next mario game, and if it doesn't get added i will join the riot
I was literally just thinking of this lol I’m feinding for something for the next game.
Anyways here’s my prediction
Luigi- GCN circuit obviously
Wario - shipyard
Mario - MC4 or 7. ( GCN would be cool though)
Desert - dry dry ruins
Wuhu - island loop ( I don’t want maka because the next game might not have good glider physics)
Ghost- broken pier
Beach- N64 Koopa troopa beach
And some others I would like that are not or another category are airship fortress, Toads factory, Desert hills, donut plains 2, Mushroom city, and lakeside park, banshee boardwalk
Sorry if I yap to much I just like kart racing games.
Great Video Musty, great collab with Biff Weed and Crab Man. (Crab Man is right, Bone-Dry Ruins would be funny)
Here are my Retro predictions (based on both Nintendo likely picks and my choices)
Notes: I believe a six cup Retro lineup is more likely in a post MK8DX Society.
No MK8 Retros were allowed for my predictions, everything else was fair game.
I made the BOLD move to include 3 Bowser Castle Tracks because its my list, which means my rules.
Piranha Plant Pipeline is my Riot pick.
Shell: GCN Luigi Circuit, 3DS Daisy Hills, N64 Koopa Troopa Beach, Wii Toad's Factory
Banana: WiiU Toad Harbor, N64 Frappe Snowland, 3DS Shy Guy Bazaar, Tour Piranha Plant Pipeline
Egg: WiiU Dolphin Shoals, GBA Yoshi Desert, N64 Banshee Boardwalk, SNES Bowser Castle 2
Leaf: SNES Mario Circuit 4, WiiU Wild Woods, 3DS Wario Shipyard, DS Airship Fortress
Bell: SNES Vanilla Lake 2, GBA Broken Pier, GCN Mushroom City, DS Bowser's Castle
Lightning: Wii Dry Dry Ruins, GCN Wario Colosseum, GBA Bowser Castle 4, DS Rainbow Road
outside of the obvious Toad's Factory because of course, my current most wanted course for a new Mario Kart is Figure-8 Circuit simply because it would be the funniest thing Nintendo has shown to us since Chris Pratt Mario and i am betting my money that it will BREAK the internet.
I need to watch the world BURN... 😈😈😈😈😈
finally, another figure 8 circuit truther
Wario- Wario Collisuem or Shipyard
Mario- Mario Circuit 4
Resort- none
2D tracks- Vanilla Lake 1 and Lakeside Park(Cooler Daniel😎)
Rainbow Roads- GBA or DS Rainbow Road save GCN for the next game
Bowsers Castle- GCN BOWSER CASTLE FTW
Tracks I will Riot- Shy Guy Bazaar and Pirhana Plant Pipeline(they’ve been ignored)
Desert tracks- Shy Guy Bazaar obviously
Ice tracks- Vanilla Lake 1
Beach Course- GBA Cheep Cheep Island
At the same time... They brought back Wuhu Town in mk8 in battle mode, so Nintendo does still remember it exists (delusional era)
BIFF WEED AND SCHAFFRILLAS!?!!!!!!!!
OH MY FUCKING GOD LETZ GOOOOOOOOOO
even though baby park was in 8, i'm hoping they bring it back again solely because the reactions from the competitive players would be priceless
Ok I’m gonna cook.
Shell cup:
Wii U Mario kart stadium
SNES Bowser castle 1
GCN Luigi circuit
Wii Toads factory
These shell cup tracks are all fun and chaotic without being very hard.
Banana cup
GBA Shy guy beach
N64 Frappe Snowland
DS Delfino Square
3DS Shy guy bazaar
So we start at a chill beach, then to the calm land of Frappe Snowland, to then the beauty of Delfino Square and then end in an actual good desert track.
Leaf cup
SNES Mario circuit 4
N64 Wario Stadium
GCN Mushroom bridge
Wii dry dry ruins
This is not exactly the best cup, Nintendo do make weird decisions on putting Mario circuits in later cups, N64 Wario stadium is one of my most hated tracks of all time but I’m whiling to give it a second chance, mushroom bridge is whatever and you might call me weird for putting dry dry ruins because of shy guy bazar but wiis got nothing left 😂
Lightning cup
GCN Wario Coliseum
DS Airship Fortress
N64 Bowser castle
GBA Rainbow road
Here me out, your escaping the coliseum and then go and attack on airship fortress, then you arrive at bowsers castle and then you beat him and all you do is one final challenge on Rainbow road
The MustyVerse keeps expanding
Its important to note that if N64 Wario Stadium was remade in MK8, then there would've been FIVE N64 retro tracks in the base game. So they probably made a good call with using DS Wario Stadium instead.
And even if they go with two, they'll most likely choose N64 Wario Stadium, bc unless they choose to repeat and not choose Wario Stadium, this course eventually has to be remade.
The slander must continue, N64 Wario Stadium must still be unremade
My Course Prediction for the next MARIO KART game:
NITRO GRAND PRIX:
MUSHROOM CUP
Mushroom Circuit
Koopa Falls/Koopa Troopa Falls
Sunshine Beach
Dry Dry Dunes
FLOWER CUP
Toad's Train Station
Mario Circuit
Piranha Plant Mountain
Banshee Forest
STAR CUP
Frosty Snowland
Cheep-Cheep Lake
Wario's Bomb Tower
DK Island/DK's Jungle Island

next time 👀
Crab & Car? Together at last!?
edit: 16:05 did Odyssey Central ghost-write this?
He told me to include cool bowser or he'd piss on the moon again
The next Mario Kart better have Baby Metal Mario and Baby Pink Gold Peach on the roster or we riot
If we somehow get Yoshi Desert over those 2 I will be mad
I never played Mario kart 7, so I desperately need to experience Waka Island tracks.
17:28 The BCP had some cups that had two tracks from Tour in it so technically speaking that statement is fundamentally flawed
I will never financially recover from this
here's what I think:
Shell Cup 1: Wii Luigi Circuit - The final turn at the end could be elevated roughly 45 degrees and have some anti-gravity shenanigans, with the rest being pretty faithful to the original gameplay-wise. (both for me and Nintendo, however I could see them being weird and swapping this and Daisy Hills around so DH starts Shell Cup and LC is 2nd)
Mario Circuit: none.
Watch them include none of these just to troll us
@@Sir_Musty I would be sad cause besides Wario Stadium these are the tracks I really want, and kinda dictate whether or not I get the next game and console lol.
Gcn rainbow road could be the new gamecube track along with mushroom bridge.
Don't really like doing predictions since I don't wanna downgrade myself to nintendo standards, so my "predictions" are basically the ones I want:
Lakeside Park, Wario Colosseum, playable GBA BC4, Toad's Factory, Snow Panic, Namco Stadium, fuck it Wibble Woods
Surely ONE of these will be in the next mk game.
Wibble Woods mentioned 🔥
Tracks I think are lock ins:
SNES I hope they'd give glow up juice to MC 4 and to see one of the two Vanilla Lakes, preferrably 2, especially if Frappe Snowland does come back since it's harder
N64 Wario Stadium and either Banshee Boardwalk or Frappe Snowland as 2nd time retro (maybe even all 3 if they don't bring back any of the Vanilla Lakes)
For GBA, I'm still gonna go with Rainbow Road, and any of the left over Tour remakes like BC4 and Cheep Cheep Beach
GCN I''m praying and begging for Wario Colosseum and Mushroom City, with priority to Mushroom City since that would make 2 Wario tracks with Stadium. for a 2nd time retro, I would pick Luigi Circuit, but I can see Peach Beach if they pick Figure 8 circuit for the basic track retro
DS I would pick Bowser Castle, based on the fact that they'd prioritize DS retros for the 2nd time retro tracks and choose GCN Luigi Circuit instead of DS Figure 8. As for 2nd time retros, I can't see a world where we don't get Delfino Square again, and Airship Fortress would be a treat.
Wii is easy ; Toad's Factory and Dry Dry Ruins
7, I don't think we're seeing the Wuhu tracks, especially with Switch sports killing off Miis like you said. But if they pick one, I think it'd be Maka Wuhu, because the other tracks I'm seeing as possible retros are all early tracks like Shy Guy Bazaar, and the other Mushroom Cup tracks.
And 8... Anything goes. But I think they would prioritize DLC tracks, like Superbell Subway and maybe the BCP """"nitros"""" like Bathroom Blitz (genuinely forgot the real name, that's brainrot) because I'm sure Nintendo's aware we've been playing the base 8 tracks for 10 years
I named a little more than 16 tracks (I counted 21-22 depending on tracks I think are mutually exclusive), but I doubt Nintendo will go back to 4 nitro/retro cups with how well fed we've been from Deluxe, would seem like a huge downgrade and I'm sure they're aware of it, so I think that's ok
im gonna go on a long shot and say the next game is when they bring back PORT TOWN AERO DIVE from F-ZERO GX. also i think one of the MK8 tracks most likely to come back is Animal Crossing
for the categories you listed, i hope we get:
Wario Colisuem
Shy Guy Bazaar
the sunset Wuhu Island (i always get the two names mixed up)
Luigis Mansion, for 2nd remake
DS rainbow road!!! i am biased!!! DS was my first mariokart xP
i think one or two categories i dont care
also i just wanna say youre very cute musty :) rizz off the charts
Hot take incoming: I do think DS airship fortress will be in the next MK game but not in the base game. Instead, I think it will be a DLC track.
I predict Mushroom City will be in this game. That is all.
Assuming the Switch 2 is backwards compatible, I don't think they're gonna bring back anything from 8 deluxe / bcp to incentivize people to own both games.
And there's not much they could improve on with the 8 deluxe tracks anyways. They're about as good as can be.
Nah what is the canned heat mix at 22:03 that shit is genuinely glorious
My playlists always got the heat

@@Sir_Musty legend. love a good high quality video game rip.
I don’t get the idea that DS Wario Stadium replaced the N64 one when there were two Sherbet Lands and both were brought back.
The fact that it's the only one not to be remade in 64 lends credence to the idea and I am it's strongest believer
Let's be honest, if you're not playing Wiigi's Circuit, Funky Kong Only, No Items, are you truly getting the competitive Mario Kart experience?

🙏🙏
Hammer Bro still owes me $20 so me and him ain't chill like that
but Fire Bro on the other hand 🔥
my biggest want for mario kart X is an online meta kart that doesn't look like ass.
CTGP Nitro for the DS did a pretty darn good remake of Wario Stadium 64. I think Nintendo could make it great.
I'll have to check that out at some point
This video is so awesome awesome
I demand Nintendo include DK Pass.
If you’re predicting Nintendo would do DS BC and seem to think it’ll be the penultimate track because of your reasoning for ignoring the SNES BCs it wouldn’t make sense for them to pick DS RR because that would be 2 back to back DS tracks
If they do include both, you owe me a drink
tbh I don’t care about the retro tracks I’m just really looking forward to cuomo stan stadium
Rioting for yoshi falls
Yoshi Fails
A scripted Musty video? Love to see it
We don’t need toads factory… us arcade Gp andies are still waiting for our tracks to be in mainline Mario Kart
Surely there's a world where we get both Toad and Bowser Factory right?
