A Jarritos taste test would be fun. Their lime soda is pretty great.
They're good but For some reason they They give me a VERY artificial flavor compared to most other sodas! Like they melted candy down or something.
Jarritos lime is absolutely fire. Also the two other Jarritos flavors that don't get the love they deserve are mandarin and Tamarindo!

Cane sugar tastes drastically different than corn syrup. Better. Cleaner? Cane sugar doesn't have the same distinctive flavour that corn syrup has. It makes cola taste fruitier, brings out more depth. THAT is why people were pissed that Starry uses corn syrup, not because cane sugar was 'healthier'.
Yes, but soda uses high fructose corn syrup which is very bad for everyone! "The comprehensive literature review claims to show for the first time that, calorie for calorie, added sugars - especially fructose - are more damaging to the body’s metabolic systems than other carbohydrates and are more likely to lead to type 2 diabetes and obesity." @@ChastityHagnós I think it's just fair to say that any sugar is bad if it's in excess amount. Assuming everything in the body is already fine, I highly doubt the consumption of any sugar is better or worse when consumed once on a while as the impact will be negligable. Even Healthline clearly said the issue comes when an excess amount is consumed.

You all should start doing some blind taste tests, so you won't have any preconceived notions about certain brands. Not that either of you seem like that, but it could make the videos a bit more exciting. I think it would help with the views, as well. Love the channel and just want you to grow! No hate intended 😁👍

To be fair to Olipop, I think the main positive is its fiber content. If you’ve ever looked into fiber supplements, it’s really hard to get anything with a reasonable amount of fiber. Most cap out at around 5g after multiple doses, so it’s actually really impressive that Olipop can get 9g in a can without tasting absolutely horrible.
As someone who was told she needs extra fiber due to some chronic stuff, it makes it so much more doable and enjoyable, especially for certain flavors (my favorites are orange and grape)
@@katelynb5838 the mission carb balance tortillas (15 grams of fiber per tortilla) and Bettergoods Keto bread (9 grams of fiber per slice) are also pretty easy sources as well

But their version of Grape soda is great. It does take some getting used to. I'm a fan of Kombucha and some odder drinks. I love Olipop Grape because it doesn't eff with my blood glucose levels. Type 2 diabetic here.

I'm a Lemon-Lime addict. I grew up in a 7up family, but became a Sprite fan. I do not drink much soda, but I am always up for a Sprite. I keep seeing Olipop, but have yet to try it

Diet 7-up is my favorite. 7-up, in general is the best. Especially diet cherry 7-up - love that stuff.

Hack: add a packet of True Lemon and True Lime to your lemon-lime sodas and it will make them taste 10x better (especially when you’re flying) 🤗😋
I add true lemon / true lime to plain spring water, no sweetener. Really refreshing.

Have you guys tried Culture Pop? It’s also a probiotic soda but I think it’s significantly better than olipop or poppi and it has real sugar (not fake sweeteners) and actual probiotics.
After living in Europe for 2 years, I choose Sprite. It is the best tasting lemon/lime citrus soda. In general, I do not drink a lot of soda…🤗🤗🤗💋

As a kid in 70's I would ride a pony over the hill and down that road to a family store for candy or a Coke. I still remember that when you opened the coke bottle that first drink had so much carbonate or something that you got that little bit of burn as you swallowed it. The did change something because it disappeared later. What they did I have no idea.
I will forever associate Shasta with family road trips as a child. Apparently it was cheaper and my dad would stock up on it and we would travel with a big cooler full. We weren’t allowed to drink anything else except for the rare meal at a sit down restaurant. Sorry Shasta, bad memories. 😜

on the next good mythical evening, you should do a taste test for the best mixer: pop edition. I know. I say pop and not soda. Love you all and your reviews. Also would love a blind taste test after initial tests of items like these and see if you still rank them the same.
The anticipation for you young gurrrls trying Twist Up I thought you would have similar reactions as I did to this and I felt it taste like Coke or Pepsi. I'm a 7up gurrrl all the way tho!! Can't wait for more Sporked reactions!

Between Sprite and 7up I find that these two can taste very different from country to country. Here Sprite is drier and has more of a bite to it than 7up which is why I prefer it. But I honestly really like both,

I was so excited to try Starry because I HATED Sierra Mist.
When you mentioned that the Big K tastes like lightly carbonated syrup, it makes me think of what comes out of a pop gun at a bar.
I have started consuming more Olipop, partially because it is still a lot less sugar compared to regular sodas, and I found some flavors that I like, but mainly because the fiber in it seems to legitimately help my stomach handle sodas better. A regular/diet/zero soda makes my gut physico hurt and cramp.
I hate that its name is so similar to poppi, as it took me forever to remember which brand was the good one when I was buying it early on. I still mess up and say the wrong brand sometimes.😅 Poppi has one or two exceptions but most flavors are gross.
Great show! Thanks. The Faygo brand has many flavors of pop (we call it Pop in Michigan)! That would be a cool taste test. They are all good for the most part. Maybe do 3 shows 10 flavors each. For example Faygo Red Pop, Cola, Root Beer, Orange, Grape, Rock n Rye, and more!
Their cream soda is great
You should do a side by side of regular canned Pepsi and Pepsi Made With Real Sugar (and check your labels, the last Mexican Coke I had said made with HFC or sugar). There’s a crispness and a lack of aftertaste you get w sugar that hfc doesn’t get.

IIRC, a lot of people have allergy issues with HFCS and Sierra Mist was one of the last remaining holdout sodas without it. That's what I remember people being upset about it for, which I totally understand. But I'm not a food scientist

The Zero Sugar Twist Up is my favorite. Tastes better than a lot of diet and regular sodas to me and the price is unbeatable.
Sodas from a can, plastic bottle, glass bottle, straw, and regular cup all interact with your senses differently to affect the taste and overall experience

Zevias "Dr Pepper" is nasty. So far the only one I like is the ginger ale. I still haven't tasted the lemon lime yet.
I wish they still made Mountain Dew Ice. It was caffeinated and it was a little more lemony than sprite or 7up

Maybe a Mandela effect but for some reason I feel like I've seen a Mythbusters or similar show that "proved" you should tap much lower on the side because it draws the bubbles to that spot, away from the top/opening. No idea if it's true but I've definitely been doing it a few decades now 🤪
For me if I want soda, I’m going for the real thing. I feel like the pre and probiotic drinks are so gimmicky-if you eat fiber (pre) and have even a small serving of fermented food like yogurt (pro) you are all set and will save money in the long run. Love hearing your opinions every video 🥰
If you are asking suggestions, not a soda but some of the birdseye sides (or if you wanna do brand they have stirfrys but the sides are microwaveable) are decent for the price. Like the blue bag imicrowave bags of rice or potatoes or pasta? Its not AMAZING but its pretty decent for what it is IMO, the southwest rice (if you like cumin) or the chicken flavored rice is good in a pinch, So are the fried green beans in an airfryer with a good sesame garlic sauce.

Corn Syrup that's high in fructose can trigger IBS issues in people with Fodmap issues. My wife can't have it and it's in Everything. So it is actually nice to find products without it.

Sugar starts as sucrose. But it breaks down into fructose and glucose very quicly. And guess what high fructose corn syrup is. So unless the soda is fresh of the line you probably couldn't tell the difference.
I went to see Babygirl with 5 of my girlfriends and we were all chanting “kiss! Kiss! Kiss!” During that part lmaooo. So sad they didn’t 😔
Depending on where you live some soda pops are made with sugar from Sugar Beets. It has a totally different taste, but still good.
My body doesn’t tolerate corn syrup, I get headaches and GI issues. I much prefer cane sugar.
Sierra Mist was superior especially in a fountain drink. I miss it so much 😭

I got fooled by Starry. Had never heard of it or the Sierra Myst controversy, saw it in a store while on a road trip and assumed it was some regional thing so I bought it. They got my ass.

Albertson's brand coke zero is the only one that tastes like the pre-recipe-change coke zero. They definitely have access to the good machines!

When Starry came out I was not a fan but then was hospitalized for a week and the only soda choice they had was starry and now I’m a fan. I don’t mind it at all!

I do think the Evolution Fresh ones actually ask you to turn them upside down or whatever before drinking. No idea if it makes much of a difference.

Yes, high fructose corn syrup is essentially the same as sucrose in the body. Unfortunately, neither sugar nor corn syrup is particularly good for you. The real problem is shoving one or the other into foods where they don't really need to be, though. People know that purposely sugary stuff isn't great, but sandwich bread that could be a cake? Less so.
reasons hfcs is worse: it's from gmo corn, it's from corn which is inflammatory and many people have allergies to corn products, it's so concentrated that it's easier to over consume as a sweetener.
gmo corn might even have Round Up in it.
100% canned soda is the best. An ice cold can of Diet Coke...be still my beating heart (probably literally, but hey won't everything kill you eventually? 😅)
Diet 7Up is my favorite, closely followed by the one fountain Starry I've had. I just remember it being so refreshing
