    Oh, I think I heard Mel's voice (LOL) or you in your build a line class...make it two necklaces to wear one at a time or layer to keep costs down if selling. Beautiful and creative!! 💖

      That is the 1928 way, make a lovely piece of jewelry using a finite amount of parts. You can make more money that way----if you have the clientele for it. I've had to modify my viewpoint in the last year or so though. Again it goes to knowing your customer. Those who want to buy artisan work generally require a little more than a pendant on a chain. However we can make the pendant artful. It's great to make 15 minute pieces.....but there is no ill in taking an afternoon to do something more intricate, especially if you learn from it.

      @@bsueboutiques I was making jewelry when you were teaching a very long time ago but I had a wreck and just haven't had what it takes to do it. The making it part is easy but photographing and listing is the hard part.

    I loved watching you do this necklace because nothing shakes you up. I really like the bottom pieces because you could make earrings from them😍

      You know what, Helen, the one on the finished piece WAS an earring, I had two...but then I thought it might be better on the necklace this time. We have a pretty good stash of them, if you want to try it? www.bsueboutiques.com/Victorian-Ear-Drop-Old-Silver-B-sue-1928-05676-p/os05676.htm What an unusual bezel, right?

    I love this technique! The stone on the rondelle is brilliant! Thank you :)

      I might need to find something else, though, because while the rondelle works, might have been used better elsewhere. I used it sort of like a shim to lift the stone up. Thanks for watching, Ann Marie.

    A must watch. Tons of tips and tricks! Brenda, do you think you could wedge chatons into areas and get them to lay level and make enough contact with the glue to adhere well? Thanks xox

      @bsueboutiques  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I do. Flatbacks would be better, or the tiffany-set vintage SWA we carry. I don't see why not though. Give it a try!

    Thanks for showing us how to make these interesting pieces. They really are assemblage as you note, but on a different scale, I guess you would say. Love it all and want to try it. I am not sure I can get the glue neat enough, but where there is a will, there is a way, right? Those 1928 pieces are just perfect for the design. Thanks again!
