Dear Marie! A few weeks ago I started to make cosmetics with your guidance and it has been amazing. I've made emulsified butter (four times with different oils and butters, and with aloe extract instead of part of the glycerine - each time a success! - and my skin with keratosis pilaris loves it) and gentle clay facial cleansing bar. Your instructions, encyclopedia and deep dives make adjusting recipes foolproof (I live in Poland - not all of the ingredients you use are available here - so substitutions are very, very helpful). Thanks to you, I was able to dupe my favourite cleansing face balm/butter (with PEG-7 glyceryl cococate), make slightly changed version of your dream cream (funny - with beeswax, as I intended it for hands mostly), and even make my (almost) own light soothing face cream. Thank you so much!
@@sondostawfiq4730 Marie's recipy from the "The SNEAKY body butter trick big companies use" works best (I've only swaped 5% of glycerine to aloe vera extract). When I buy one, I have my favourite one with urea, ceramides and macadamia oil by some Polish brand. Genreally, I use products with a lot of humectants, with some exfoliating agents (urea, salycilic acid), and definately NOT anhydrous butters, as they make things worse...
I remember when I made this one. Loved all the batches I made - with varying amounts of xyliance and polawax. Yet I used more emulsifier than you used so it would be fun to try it with less emulsifier. I'm thinking about giveing this a new shot soon! My hands love it for sure ❤
i loved that you used the same emulsifier as the original product and kept the same base ingredients, including allantoin and panthenol as actives, but the star hand-repair active in the hemp hand cream (and other commercial hand creams like cerave, etc) is dimethicone at around 1% =) but of course they don't advertise it because customers don't want silicones for no valid reason... i love your ingredient deep dives btw ^^
Just what I need right now, our weather is very drying at the moment. Pretty sure I have all the ingredients, many thanks. Perfect timing from Australia ❤
Hi Marie, I've been watching forever to make sure I don't get things wrong and understand before I started making anything however I do love your Corning Hot Plate. Where does one purchase this from, I've tried a few places (I live in New Zealand) as it looks safer than my portable induction stove. Thank you and also your tutorials are the best, plus with your knowledge and explaining. Thank you so very much and may God Bless you.
Dear Marie You're appreciated hun. Wanted to know which blender is better , cuz I saw you using the emulsion blender(the small one ). And this time I see you using this bigger one, so am in between selecting 😊
Hi Marie- FYI about Glyceryl Stearate & PEG-100 Stearate - Making Cosmetics doesn't sell it. Luckily I had some LotionPro 165 on hand. Making this lotion right now. Thank you!
Hmm when you adjust the pH, since weve removed a part of the batch to test and are adding a buffer to the main batch to arrive at the desired pH, wont that ruin the percentages? Unless we leave room for said buffer via lowering water in the formula and then adding it back depending on how much buffer was needed?
I have a Diploma in Organic Skincare Formulation and a Diploma in Organic Haircare Formulation from Formula Botanica :) You can read my reviews here: www.humblebeeandme.com/my-formula-botanica-review-diploma-in-organic-skincare-formulation/ www.humblebeeandme.com/my-formula-botanica-review-diploma-in-organic-haircare-formulation/.
I can’t understand the first ingredient in oil phase. Glyceryl stearate and PEG 100 are two ingredients or what? If they are two then how much is the usage of each.
Glyceryl Stearate (and) PEG-100 Stearate is a blended ingredient; you purchase it that way, it's not something you need to make yourself. Please look it up in the free Humblebee & Me DIY Encyclopedia (www.humblebeeandme.com/diy-encyclopedia/) to learn more ❤️
Thank you so much. I always follow your recipes so wanted to update my ingredients’ list. Your videos are so inspiring and I want to make them all. This one was on my top list.
Hi Marie, just wondering if I replace argan oil then what substitution should I use? And what is the substitution for St. John’s wort oil. Please help.

Marie, thank you so much for such a beautiful and light class with an lighter talking (not so fast speeding talk) . I am sure people from foreign countries will be able to understand you even better. in BraZil we have only Panthenol in liquid version. You´re using 1.5%. Shall we just substitute it and happy ever after? Cause I´ven see you use it very offtenly and that is a question always comes into my mind. big kiss, lovely! HelenI
Also our Allantoin is advised to be heated at least until 70ºC to become efective in the wather fase. So for the Brasilians here, check out the instruccions of the produtct you´ve got.
You inspired me to quit 9-6 job and start my own skin care brand😊 I simply love you!
