in a Tanpura Droid on my Cell phone...say I am in Key G, so should the First string be a G or Pa and the Pitch be a C or D(Re)....following the Western music idea 1 - 4 - 5 chords? i.e. G - C - D7th......
BUT, the Tanpura is sounding awful? Please advise. And, there is also a Button for Pitch Semi for????

First string from D# and rest all G#.

Because D# is perfect fifth of G# key. Perfect fifth is 2nd prominent note of any key. 1st is Tonic.
