mam If we use in addition in middle..no need semi colon before inadditon

Hi, thank you for your enquiry. "In addition" should not be used in the middle of a sentence only at the start e.g. "On admission, she was experiencing severe shortness of breath and heart palpitations. In addition, she had a high fever and was vomiting." If you want to connect ideas in the middle of a sentence similar to using "and", you can use "in addition to" or "as well as" with no comma. For example, "On admission, he was experiencing severe shortness of breath and heart palpitations in addition to vomiting / On admission, she was experiencing severe shortness of breath and heart palpitations as well as vomiting."
