I’ve been doing my tarot channel for 2 years and I’ve been so caught up in numbers and letting the lack of them dictate my worthiness and it’s not right! I do this to connect with people and that’s honestly what really matters, it should never have got to the point of it affecting my mental health. It’s good to know I’m not the only one that’s experienced this, but I also am so glad you’re in a place now where you know you really do mean something to those of us who choose you and choose to stay with you ❤

That's what happens...you start at 0 and you are excited to start something new...a few subscribers come and then a few more...your videos get a few more views than they used to....then you start getting the emails from TH-cam and how to GROW YOUR CHANNEL....your subscribers celebrate your milestones...CONGRATS ON HITTING 100 or 1000....comments.....getting monetized...looking at other peoples growth....the spiral is easy to fall onto and hard to jump off of. I feel like I am completely off now and I hope you can too. Lets just let go of caring about anything other than making content we enjoy making and see if anyone wants to listen to it. I guess its like 100 years from now someone saying "no one drove lambos 100 years ago"....the truth is they were invented but very few people had one. Thats what hot showers were to the masses of the world 100 years ago. The me's and you's of the world didn't have one but the rich did. Thats my thought on it but am always happy to be corrected on facts. What would be the number I should have used instead of 100. I want to be truthful and am truly happy to be corrected on facts.
I used to do music, I was good. I had everything but the drive and the audience. I used to say if I had just a community, maybe 3-5000. I would be happy enough and fulfilled knowing I have an impact. But my impact was what 300 views a song. Your impact is far greater than what I had but in comparison to how others grow, we see people grow to 100k in days. Usually ( some pretty girl). But IMO and many others, you actually have real material. Even the greatest of us get caught up with what the wrong people think, but the unfortunate part of free speech is people having the ability to comment on something extremely negatively instead of admitting it’s just not for them. But it is what it is, we need our free speech.

Whether its religion or another topic we can all benefit from doing so. This is why I started reading it, to think more critically about my beliefs and ask myself what I actually believe.
