💸The Cryptocurrency Market 💸
The cryptocurrency market is small and young compared to other similar markets. The fact that the crypto market consists of very new and fairly complicated technologies has made it very volatile.
As governments and seasoned investors (which hold much of the wealth) become more familiar with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, they are starting to invest more into the space. However, the cryptocurrency market is still mostly made of money from inexperienced and opportunistic investors.
Despite its day to day volatility, the cryptocurrency market follows a clear 4 year cycle which is being driven by Bitcoin’s halving cycle. Every time a Bitcoin halving occurs, the total supply of new Bitcoin coming into the market from miners is cut in half.
💰The Altcoin Market 💰
The term altcoin is used to describe any cryptocurrency that isn’t Bitcoin. There are thousands of altcoins, and they are generally much more volatile than Bitcoin. This makes them even less friendly to seasoned investors. Their price action is also largely driven by Bitcoins.
Altcoins only make up a small portion of the total cryptocurrency market cap. Small and medium cap altcoins have the biggest potential for growth, since it is easier to double a 100 million market cap than a 100 billion market cap. It is unlikely that any altcoin will have a larger market cap than Bitcoin
⚖ Tokenomics ⚖
Tokenomics are the most important factor when it comes to planning an exit strategy. Inflation will help gauge whether a cryptocurrency will lose its value over time. Most cryptocurrencies detail their tokenomics on their websites and ICO documentation.
Knowing how tokens have been allocated is also critical, as any early investors and founders who were allocated tokens may sell when the market rises which could crash the price. Sometimes tokens that have been allocated to early investors and founders have a vesting schedule, meaning they are released slowly over a period.
📊 Technical Indicators📊
Technical indicators can be useful but don’t tell the whole story. When used in tandem with other factors such as an altcoins tokenomics, they can serve as an important part of your exit strategy. When it comes to altcoins, the two most important indicators to take note of are Bitcoin dominance and an altcoin’s trading strength against Bitcoin in satoshis.
When Bitcoin dominance falls, it means more money is going into altcoins. The last time Bitcoin dominance dropped, it sent altcoins to new all-time highs. Slumps in Bitcoin dominance seem to last 1-2 weeks, giving you plenty of time to exit during that time if you want to.
🤑Exit Strategy Simulation🤑
Pick an altcoin and take note of its market cap. Since we know that market cap will probably not be bigger than Bitcoin’s any time soon. Once you’ve estimated how high your altcoin could rise in the rankings, calculate what that return could be when the bull market hits
Next, take note of any tokenomic factors which could stunt that price growth between now and the bull market.
Finally, pay attention to technical indicators as the bull market approaches. When Bitcoin is trading sideways or increasing gradually in price and its dominance is falling, you will know it is almost time to sell.
When altcoins start going parabolic, check to see if yours is gaining or losing value relative to Bitcoin. Set a realistic exit price and keep in mind that traders like round prices

Hi I am in New Zealand and use crypto.com app , my friend uses easy crypto.ai. When buying bitcoin and New Zealand dollars my wallet consistently offers one bitcoin for $1000 less on average than my friends easy crypto. Yearn.finance is about $300 per coin cheaper. Any reason why this would be as these prices are showing at exact same times and the difference is always roughly the same it's a big difference when buying a bitcoin $1000 we are currently paying about 22 to 23,000 dollars per bit-coin. New to all of this. Good explanation of the "when" to exit. Would have been helpful to show the names and locations of the screens/tools used in technicals. Also are there videos on HOW to exit or even how to trade in general? Things like trading one coin for a stable coin, another Alt coin, BTC, eventually ending up with fiat? Things like speed of execution, fees, etc.?
Dang, this video definitely taught me a LOT of things that I hadn't known before, as I just started investing in crypto a couple months ago. But I feel like I need an even more dumbed down guide. Maybe a screen-share video of you actually picking an altcoin and going through each of the steps in your research, so we could see exactly what you look for? I feel like I still don't really know how to actually do it, though I do understand more of the lingo now 🤔

Don’t forget if you look up holders distribution on Etherscan, some wallets are exchange wallets, staking wallets, uniswap routers, and treasury. So you can’t assume all of them are whale wallets. With that said, yes supply distribution is one thing to look at before investing.
how can you tell which is which? is that info publicly available?
@@eelco4256 There are some indications, but it's not always easy. Uniswap routing pools will be labeled, along with common exchange wallets.
Knowe a little about the project itself and watch the transaction pattern in that wallet. For example ADEL currently have 4 million token staked. There is a wallet with 4 million token with lots of deposit and withdraw, but no selling or buying, so it is the ADEL staking wallet.
If you trade on Uniswap, you can use Dextools which track swap transactions, it also show front running bots.

@@NeilHester if your long but would also like to trade your position for profit, sell 20%. you can also hold for one year then sell half, keep taxes low, you do not have to sell all, I like to have long positions and short positions this helps keep me honest I can make fast money and go long at the same time , "not a financial advisor"

4:45 the supply does not get cut. The supply increases less fast. But still, it increases until all 21 million btc are mined. There are much more bitcoins available now than in 2017 ATH. Your statement here is not correct, if demand was the same, the price would have dropped as the supply increased.
Erck. The *new* supply is cut, per the previous sentence. If the inflow demand stays the same and general demand stays the same, then the decreased newly available coins will cause the price to go up. He explained this well, nothing incorrect.
