when i heard that this song is by Hiroyuki Sawano, i knew that this song will be a masterpiece since you're the one who made most of Attack on titan songs, your songs're always a masterpieces❤
The way those lines were adapted is fantastic. "I'll pay you double! Double what I was--" "Three times. You tried to kill me three times... and now you want mercy?" It leaves us wondering for a brief moment if he's actually going to take the offer, then completely shuts it down.

And imagine the anime is still dogshit compared to the manhwa in so many ways. If we get a good adaptation with this setup, OH BOI, but sadly we got something like this and you can see clearly how they had everything they needed and didn't care about the narrative, the atmosphere, the actual action, etc. Just look what moves he does in the manhwa. WHY IS THAT NOT IN THE ANIME??? The whole leveling aspect got fucked up, because they spoil characters and information for no reason in the first episode, so we don't have the same feeling of actually gaining something each episode. In the manhwa at the end of almost each chapter where he levels up, you get an overview of the actual level, stats and the items he gained. Completly missing in the anime. This is solo leveling without the leveling. This anime is just hollow on the inside, because they only cared about the outside. They literally scammed us out of one of the best manhwa in existing.
We should not be surprised, this is Sawano. Just look at AoT music, he pretty much foreshadow the Rumbling from the first's episode music and we have no idea because the manga has not ended yet (we noticed the foreshadowing here because SL manhwa has ended)

There's so much meaning in the lyrics.....I'm in shock sawano truly understands the character of sung Jin woo....the weakest hunter of all time who survived to become stronger and level up. During the fight you can feel his humanity being broken down....."the fact is I killed someone..."there's no going back, you have to be strong in order to survive.....you know what must be done.

This song fits so well, in between the painful decision of leaving your humanity behind to survive it’s like people who go into war sometimes you don’t want to take a life but life situations puts you in a moment when you have to become a monster to survive not because you want to but because the system is so fucked up.
All f*cked up systems should be rectified and replaced. This is a Necessity, not an optional decision. One of my favorite characters in Sci-Fi was Evil Morty. Not because he was smarter than Rick or even because he was always one step ahead of the game, but because he was the only version of himself who was willing to step up and free himself from the unjust system of Slavery that Ricks had forced upon Morty’s. He may done so at the cost of leaving every version of himself behind, but as he said: “You can come if you want, don’t blame me if you don’t” Every Morty could’ve risen up and cut off ties with their Rick’s like he did, but none of them wanted to. Because they would rather stay with a lifestyle their familiar with (no matter how Toxic it is) rather than leave into the great unknown…. That’s why Evil Morty doesn’t bother saving the other versions of himself stuck in the Central Finite Curve. Cause he knows they would never be able to truly leave Rick behind. They would always run on back to him once times got tough. That’s why they consider him “evil” for being SICK of the system.

It was less a fight, and more like the moment someone had their innocence taken from them. Sung was still very naive and self sacrificing until this moment. The moment the system told him he MUST kill 6 people or be killed himself.

till this episode i kept wishing "i hope this adaptation will do the webtoon justice.." cause the webtoon had insane art and even better "panneling"(the dude revolutionized that shit).then it comes that moment,the moment that "kill the 6 hunters that aimto kill you" screen poped infront of jinwoo and the emotional strugle started,the art direction and animation was great too and then this insert song starts and the hair all over my body stood up,chills started ruuning thru my spine and i thought "well,now we re on par with the webtoon"!
