  • Orleans was born in February of 1972 in Woodstock, NY. By fall of the following year, our first album was released. Between those 2 dates, Rolling Stone magazine had named us "the best unrecorded band in America."
Fast forward 30 years to 2002, when we compiled a collection of rare live recordings from gigs, TV shows, radio concerts, etc that spanned the life of the then-30 year old band. This local talk show was part of the promotions following the release of the 17-track CD album, "Orleans - Still the One LIVE."
This popular collection remains available at www.OrleansOnline.net

Being from Woodstock New York I would see these guys at The Joyous Lake often. Really personable. My friend Eric Parker played with them and also The John Hall band.

I was blessed to have these great folks play at my place The Southside Pub in Herkimer NY in 2002 and can call them friends. Such talent! Thank you for sharing your gift with the rest of us! ❤️❤️❤️

Just beautiful. I smiled through the whole thing. And that is still some of my favorite guitar work ever.

Hi y'all doing? Great to see and listen to your filling in missing pieces of my favorite band. Having a meal with my sister & brother n law at the Joyous Lake was a thrill. To be with everyone is life's joy especially at my age. Wells was drumming at the Playhouse. Your memorial as it is felt whenever Wells name is brought out gives me mixed emotions. I miss all it's been many years. I only saw the bass player on video of "If" at Opus 40.
I sent this and If to a talented female artist named Lanie Gardner. Perhaps we all can unite. My sister is Paula Miller. Thx Andrew Gilbert.

One of favorite bands. Saw them early on when they were just a trio.

That was interesting! Lance, is it you, who's singing the very high harmonies?
