Allow me to (re)introduce myself! Well my guest house which I am naming Rochelle! Rochelle is all things vibrant, wild and free which is exactly what I want to inspire all my humans to feel and be when they walk through those doors. You guys ready for the ride?
I am redoing my Bathroom right now, re-mud-ing the walls from ugly 80's spray texture to flat. I have recessed canister lights that are an eyesore, can you tell me where to find the star sconce lights? I think they would be amazing on my ceiling since there are only 3 canister lights I can incorporate them on the ceiling rather than the canisters. I also had a kitchen painted similar colour to your vanity room, all based of a etching my friend got me of a cartoon anime lady lumberjack whom had just made pancakes on her plate with a slice of butter and syrup dripping off them, her beanie was that color so I painted the kitchen to match otherwise the etching was black and white. It was very cute- my apt. was in an old Spanish Villa at the time so the colors were a good match. Thanks for your hard work. I also think I am going to etch wainscoting into my lower half of bathroom walls- I'd been thinking of doing it right into the mud work, since I use to be a mason and concrete statuary mason it should be rather easy. xo
Rachel!! Don't let that 1 person's comment get you down. Your last video showed off your strength and determination and was inspiring! It's also part of the demo process and looked like you were having fun! Keep posting whatever makes you feel good girl! 💖🤗
whoever told you the last video was “pointless” or “boring” can take a hike. I’m here for whatever content Rachel Metz puts out, her creativity is always refreshing and inspiring, and I love everything she does. end of story. ☕️♥️
We also get to see and learn those processes, not just the fixing up to look amazing parts. While yes, noticebly different to other eps, it holds equivalent in value 👌
@@LivingtoDIYwithRachelMetz it's hard putting yourself out there on the internet when people can be so mean, and it's hard to not let those mean people get to you, but know you always have support from your friends and fans 🥰
I think it's because the video was all over the place. She should have showed us the tour and then just her plans. The demo and seeing her sit around planning was not necessary. I also think it's weird she didn't tackle the plumbing and electrical first instead of the least important space in the whole trailer.
@@Jessa8891 She said she's waiting on electrical until it gets connected to the main house I believe, and she said she showed the demo in the first video so that there wasn't demo in every subsequent video. Rachel likes to show us how she arrives at her ideas and plans, and sitting in each room was her way of doing that. Just showing us the end plans isn't really Rachel's style. Might've been boring to watch a time-lapse of someone sitting for some people but I appreciate the realness of it, these things don't come about magically.
One of my favorite things about your videos is that you are transparent about “next time would do’s” when you come up against an obstacle. It’s encouraging to see we’re all human and you’re not a robot, like many other decor/reno channels. Thanks for keeping it real!
I love that you upload whenever you’re ready instead of a consistent flow of videos. It feels much more authentic and builds so much anticipation for what’s coming next.
I feel like a pastel coloured toilet would be perfect in this space (also in love with everything so far I can't wait to watch the journey of your property)
I'm frustrated that people commented about the "pointlessness" of your last video. You're going on a journey, you're sharing it with us at your pace, and I love feeling like we're checking in with you whenever you have time. I hope you don't feel too much pressure to tailor your videos to people who need to streamline/control your content. You are inspiring, your journey is helping me to heal on mine, and I love watching you go.
I personally really enjoy the more "process" videos. As someone with no knowledge or experience in any kind of construction, it's really informative and interesting getting to see the whole process from demo to final touches. Also, makes the final reveal that much more satisfying. Keep 'em coming!
Rachel!! Don't let that 1 person's comment get you down. Your last video showed off your strength and determination and was inspiring! It's also part of the demo process and looked like you were having fun! Keep posting whatever makes you feel good girl! 💖🤗
Love your free flowing creativity, not taking anything too seriously: to test - take apart and redesign according to what feels right for you or with determination - to work through the challenges!
"You shut your mouth when you're speaking to me!" Loved this video. Very cool to see you spend the time to build out your idea and get a solid visual on what you are hoping to accomplish. I'm here for all of it!
Honestly love how you are becoming YOU. No video is pointless. I have never ripped out anything so it’s good to see the process and learn. Everything is a learning experience.
Don't pay attention to people saying stuff like the last video was 'pointless' Rach. I'm up for any content you put up there. You're my inspiration for what a strong woman should be like and thankyou for that! ❤️
The small person calling your content boring can go kick giant desert ROCKS. Every single video you post teaches me something, or inspires me, or makes me feel like i can do this stuff too, or tempts me to tackle my own crazy DIY. Usually it does all of the above. This vanity is nuts, and it's perfect. 🖤
@@LivingtoDIYwithRachelMetz of course! Ignore the haters you got plenty of people here that love your content and are excited to see this new chapter in your life and join the renovation every step of the way!
Stripping it down and understanding the "base" of what you're working with really is the smartest approach, IMO. Really looking forward to seeing this trailer's journey!
Seriously Rachel it’s so good to see you heal. I see the comment below about the last video. What a small jealous person who insults others. People like that are empty and lives empty lives. We love watching it’s like a bonus to see how you do these tasks. You do Rachel and we love every bit of it. Forget fools who speak negative. We only speak life over you. You’re amazing!! Love the way you are doing a white elephant and making it a haven. Kudos!!! And here comes Michael. Modern builds rocks our world too!!! I need friends like you two. Super pro.
I really love your personality and the way you talk to us plus the DIY projects that turn out amazingly beautiful. Joshua Tree looks so peacful, just wait till you transform it to what you what it to be. Can't wait to see the complete transformation. Take care hun.
That back wall looks like it deserves to be yellow! Refreshing, energetic, and exciting! Also, if we were to talk about feng shui, it's good to have the tones for different elements tied together :D
One of the most addictive parts about creating (to me, at least!) is problem solving and sorting out how to fit things together. I love watching you creatively solve problems, it’s super inspiring and helps me take a new angle on my own creative pursuits, even though I use a different medium!
We love to see her in the skater girl aesthetic! Last week she gave us the tie dye matching sweatsuit, this week we have the all black one piece and beanie!

All of these videos are making me want to buy a house in Joshua Tree and renovate it lol. I love seeing the demo, thought process, and everything in between so much!!
This is super retro/western feeling almost! I can almost guarantee that there was a feature like this in everyone's house in my small mountain town as a kid! The nostalgia it brings is wild. I can imagine a large vibrant painting of canyons somewhere in that room and maybe a crapload of plants.
That makes me really happy but you know sometimes those negative comments can really get you I'm getting better at ignoring them and just doing what I want.
Love it! Your personal style is very similar to mine. I love that you have space now to play with different types of design! In my mind, I saw tiles the same blue color as the sconces in the shower...
