All those tips are simply great. Once I master CO, I will buy Affinity and listen to your tips. So grateful you are sharing your knowledge. Many Thanks. Odile, Australia
Excellent tutorial video with tremendous time saving tips and techniques for Capture One. This is very useful information and I greatly appreciate your expertise!
Great set of tips! If you want to go even further. You can install a macro tool like keyboard maestro. I have created custom tool tabs that are used with a specific tool. So when i hit W for white balance, my system will also type control 1 , which is mapped to a custom tool set with relevant tools. Al it takes is creating some keycommand macro's that will type two key commands.
Scott Williams Photography Welcome! You could also use Better Touch Tool, which is less complex to start with. But just on OSX, but there will be tools available on all platforms. I also use them to apply presets with shortcuts using on screen mouse actions, because thats the only way to apply presets without touching a mouse in C1.
Question: if i want to delete a person holding the flash for a portrait using affinity..and back to capture one....pls pls pls pls can u teach how to do it ???Your videos are so explanatory, pls , thank you
I will do a video on using Capture One and Affinity photo together very soon. They are the two programs that I use every day. I think it would be useful for beginners to see the process.
Thanks Jim. I'm afraid exposure blending is not possible with Capture One as it requires multiple layers of the same image. Capture one only allows multiple adjustment layers and not multiple image layers.
your explanations are awesome, I've just bought this program, pls don't stop , thank you :) Can u pls pls show how to remove light stands using affinity photo > thank you
Thank you Leo. I think you have made the right choice. Capture one is a great partner for Affinity Photo. I will be doing a video soon on removing objects from images using Affinity Photo.
I'm not quite sure what you mean. But there is no way for a computer to set white balance automatically and always get it right. A computer can't understand the context of the scene. Especially with mixed lighting.
Swipe the stars to the left! OMG, I went nuts recently and tried to remove the stars by clicking in the square box - which would be the logical choice :-/

Color balance is always correct if you run levels on RGB channels separately. Less guesswork

I agree with you. It drove me nuts for a while. I actually remember the moment when I found the star swipe method.
Color editor is broken after you send a photo from photoshop back to c1
I've never seen that happen. But then again I use Affinity Photo. It could be a bug or something in the settings.
Copy & Paste / Before & After should be a shortcut. Not only a click.
I agree.
