Revlon vs Revlon | One step hair dryer and styler | Straightening Natural Curly Hair

  • Hey everyone! Today I'm giving you a side by side result comparison of the two Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer and Stylers. I have done individual videos for each device, which are more in-depth. It's super humid in NY, and I hate heat styling in the Summer, so this is a quick how-to on my natural 3C-4A hair type since the results didn't last due to the weather.

    This was so informative and yes the round brush tangles in my hair too and I truly despise that! I do the down motion as well and try to hold my ends together in the section the whole time smh the struggle is real lol One thing I didn't know was how I could get a nice curl in with the brush super happy to see you do that! Imma go grab the paddle as I really only blow-dry to stretch my hair for twist, I see they have round blow dry brushes with ceramic bristles instead of the nylon bristles- I wonder if that's the issue... Loved this video! I've only been growing mine out about 4 years and it's past my bra strap I'm super proud and looking forward to seeing your length in my head 😀🥰🥳🥳

    • @nOt24seven
      @nOt24seven 3 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      Hi, one of my hair types is 4c and my paddle version was shipped today. I wet two parts of my hair with a seat bottle to test the dryer tonight. I wasn’t impressed but wanted to look at videos on how others used it to see if it really was more effective than the other two dryers I own. After watching this video, I wet one part of my hair thoroughly and using this dryer made a difference in how unsatisfied I was with my other dryers because neither didn’t straighten my ends. This dryer did. However, I had it on high the entire time I dried the part and am not a fan of how much heat was used. I did watch another video where the woman explained how she used “high” to dry her hair faster but then used “low” to brush it through and finished with using “cool” which she said felt like more room temperature than cold. Hope this helps in your decision making!

    • @chevon1920

      I have hair similar to her’s so like 4a I guess. But I think as long as your hair is very well detangled that round brush should work really well. It’s the first time I’ve ever been able to get a smooth result with a round brush.

  • @MsBeyonce06
    @MsBeyonce06 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    I have both brushes. My hair is extra thick, corse & wavy. I like the round brush better. The air comes out 360. The paddle brush only pushed air straight up so u have to use in in a root to end motion.
    The round brush can be used root to end; you can also use it in a curl motion like if you were making a bump at the end if the hair. This one also straightened my roots better & smoothly.
    It depends on the person honestly 🤷

    • @HeadfulofHair
      @HeadfulofHair 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      How do you feel about the point she brought up with the round brush sometimes tangling? It hurts my heart everytime I hear it happen- which brought me to this vid- Imma go ahead and grab this paddle brush one because I just can't seem to avoid those few tangles every blue moon 🙃 I have been doing prepoos with coconut oil and conditioner which has really truly cut down on tangles so I think this paddle brush might be the perfect addition to retain length

      To me the paddle brush didn't straighten my hair as much and it took a little longer because the paddle brush only blows heat up and the round brush blows heat 360. It depends on your hair and what you prefer. My hair is curly thick course and long to my waist

    do you find the that the brushes overheat? or does it stay the same temperature the entire time?

    • @apoloniapearl4582
      @apoloniapearl4582  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Roshana! I haven't had any experience with the brushes overheating. I don't keep them on the entire time, but turn them off in between combing or brushing my sections. However, they do get pretty hot, so I only use it on low.

      Hi Ms. Nicki! I usually only use low heat. I know high heat would give a better result, but these devices get way too hot, and some people have experienced burn out or overheating. I try to avoid that.

      Hi! For some people it does. I heard that happens mostly when using the high heat setting. As stated, it depends on what your desired outcome is. I’ve been wearing my hair curly so I've been reaching for my diffuser lol.
