Like a lot of people, clicked on your Basquiat video, but what really got me was the painting next to you in that vid. I was like, "That's an easel, this guy painted that, wow." Really interesting to see a young black artist getting into a minimalist thing, citing Agnes Martin and everything. I've also had the experience of being struck by her work and other minimalist works in museums and galleries. Pure abstraction, and minimalism in particular, has some kind of fascination for me. You've really plunged into minimalism, which I think takes a kind of courage, and your work is compelling (says the old white guy, but anyway).
Wow! This comment made my entire year, I appreciate the kind words 🫡. It’s no exaggeration to say seeing her work in person changed the outcome of my life. Minimalism has always meant a lot to me.
I think it's really cool how you've set up this shot, the lines of the window blinds compliment your art :)
Look at you dropping “lines” and walking beyond your comfort zones! You are an artist not to be contained by any medium or space❣️
Wow, thank you!🥹

@@pejamane You've got a lot to teach. I look forward to following along.
Norman Lewis changed a lot of for me on the level of perspective and imagination
nah for real, the art he was making was so different from what other black artists were doing at the time. So forward thinking
