When he said he preferred the uncomfortable arm because it helps in his acting and the color stays true to the comic, it reminded me of when Robert Downey Jr. said Sebastian is a method actor. He truly is.
I think it's more about physicality than being a method actor. There have been other interviews where Seb has said he doesn't go that far.
Well I don't think he's a method actor RDJ was likely joking or exaggerating, but I still admire him a ton for turning down the comfortable arm for the heavy one for the sake of being true to the character and source material.

he did a radio interview in 2019 and he was asked about the actors using that technique and he said that people can use whatever it helps them in their job but for him it's a no 🤷🏽♀️

It’s why he was cast-the producers saw from the beginning that he would make a great Winter Soldier, but they actually had more reservations about his ability to play Bucky Barnes. Obviously, they made the right choice in the end casting Sebastian. :’)

Great duo. Their series did not disappoint. The chemistry of these two is a goldmine that MCU should never sleep on.
Now that Chris and RDJ are gone, I can really see how Anthony and Seb have stepped up to take the mantle and shape the new culture of the MCU cast. From being a bit lost in the start to being more involved and invested.
I love what Seb has done with the Winter Soldier! It’s one of those castings that now having seen it, can’t imagine anyone else in the role.

The winter soldier in the best MCU movie in my opinion. From the choreography in the fight scenes to the cast and actors its perfect!
Winter Soldier and Civil War are my favorite because of Sebastian Stan. The stories are great and the action and cast are good in both of those.
So, I've been a huge fan of Sebastian's work for years now and can I just say that Ali Plumb is a hell of an interviewer? I remember the winter soldier's interview back in the day & he just asks the most interesting and right questions, it's truly compelling.
Met seb at a con told him he should’ve got the shield, very humble guy in person
You know why the skipped that storyline? Because hes the winter soldier. Its why he stopped being Captain America in the comics. It was revealled he was the Winter Soldier.

Everyone else has the Sebastian Stan love covered, so I'm going to point out that Ali Plumb is the best interviewer I've ever seen. He asks great questions, and then, wonder of wonders, HE SHUTS UP AND LETS THE OTHER PERSON TALK. Every talk show host needs to learn from him.

Marvel's casting choices for these actors are always on point... job well done since 2011....
Ali is such a great interviewer he asks the most interesting questions and knows how to get the most out of an actor while still keeping it fun like in this interview here with Sebastian. I also appreciate a lot the fact that he turned down the lighter metal arm for the sake of being true to the character and source material which I never knew that before and I think is a mark of a superb actor.
