@6:49 you set the Engine Page Layout to Separate and state that the compressed MAN IN and RPM opens up another data block displaying AMPS, however, AMPS was already displayed in the initial layout. Does this "Separate" functionality actually open up another data block for EIS or just adjust spacing as it appears to in this video? It doesn't appear that any additional data is actually displayed. Thanks for the videos, very informative!
We put some things out of order in this video - it does indeed open up room for a data block, however because we had already selected some items to be "Text Only" in our setup (another 9.31 feature), we had already crammed more items in.
Awesome video!! Side Question: with all the Garmin updates within the past year or so, could a GI 275 be used as a suitable backup for a G3X & GFC500 autopilot setup these days? Or are we still kinda stuck using the G5 as the best option?
Please can you request GARMIN to allow FONT size customisation. The autopilot bar is hardly readable and items like air speed and the VSI I would love to see in larger text. 🙏
What's actually happening at 7:10 is that by changing so many gauges to be text-only, you have shrunk them to the point where all configured gauges are able to be displayed without any additional compression of the layout, so the unit knows it doesn't need to use the more compact two-column layout for round gauges. Another thing that might help when you make these videos: In demo mode, you can just touch the airspeed, altitude, and heading fields to change them! No need to access the Drive Simulator page.
Garmin a/p servo Service Bulletin compliance. I think we have 5 years to send all servo's to Garmin. My servos work great, when do you think i need to send them in?
I did the upgrade 9.31 for my G3X in the JMB VL3 airplane. Now I no longer get any signal tones. At first I used the original SD-Card, than a new formated SanDisc 64GB Ultra exFAT and than a SanDisc 32GB Extreme FAT32. No sound! In the configuration mode and in the pilot mode the sound is on and if I use the test button, there is no sound! Can you help me? Best regards, Berndt from Austria
That is not something we have seen in 9.31. You may want to try to roll back to the previous software and see what happens. You will lose user setting doing this so be sure to record anything you have set. Do you have an audio panel?
As always, well done!
Thx for taking the time to make a recap in video
Love these update videos! Thank you guys!
Our pleasure!
Good job as usual Adam. Thanks!
Thank you, guys!!!
Great video. Many thanks

They are slowly adding capability but it’s still not capable of controlling the autopilot in the G3X environment.

If they work fine, I would wait until you either have a problem or maybe an annual when you have things opened up.
Do you have to have a radar alt for the AGL mode to show?
Garmin has the GHA 15 which is a height advisor. We have a video on that too.
Additional information for G3X update problem: all „Aural warnings & alerts“ don‘t work

@@MidwestPanels thank you and yes I have an Garmin 245R Audiopanel
I am assuming this is for the Experimental version and not the Certified version.
You are correct!
now my g3x touch is old version 5.9 can direct updating to new 9.3?
Yes you should be able to directly upgrade.
@@MidwestPanels Thanks your reply.
will this update work on all G3X's?
Not certified.
As always, fantastic info!
